  1. Only seems to last 3-4 years at clubs before he (at least recently) falls out with players, his methods clearly work just don't seem sustainable due to whatever goes on behind the scenes. The inevitable rumours linking him to Manchester United have started, along with ones that Hiddink is coming in at Chelsea until the end of the season. Whoever it is that does come in I can't see them making the top 4 this season.
  2. Aye I actually think it's awful timing for the mackems, the Chelsea players might actually bother their arses in the match. I'm gutted Mourinho is gone as it was great watching them be so poor, I wont miss his shit patter though.
  3. Colo seemed to give up on bothering to cover Eric Dier pretty fast mind. It's all just hot air until they can apply themselves against some lesser opposition, if they can put in a good performance (and hopefully a win) against Villa I will start believing them that they've turned the corner.
  4. Not top of the list by any means but Hugo Viana was a disappointment, he wasn't absolutely horrific but he clearly didn't suit the league and had come with a fair bit of hype after winning that award. Agree with the others mentioned in all.
  5. I think they have a great shot at top 4, especially with Chelsea's capitulation. Agree with AH that an injury to Mahrez fucks the whole thing up for them though, I haven't watched loads of them but from what I've seen he is their version of what Cabaye was to us when we came 5th (albeit with more goals) as everything seems to flow through him, I know Vardy is rightly getting a lot of attention but it's like the free scoring form of Ba and Cisse that season I think it would dry up considerably without Mahrez there.
  6. Aye it's really rubbing them up that they're going to have to start actually discussing Leicester in the title race and Chelsea's relegation prospects seriously soon so they're going to try and put it off. I don't really think either will happen but I actually hope both do. If Leicester get through into January still ahead then they have to really start discussing them properly imo.
  7. Spot on, they've looked good in basically all the games against big sides (including the first half against Man City) the problem has been they've not bothered going onto the pitch against lower sides. If they can go out and pull off a comfortable 2-0 win it'd go a long way towards making people feel more comfortable.
  8. This is class, wonder when Chelsea will enter the relegation discussion.
  9. Really hope we cuff these, it'll be brilliant if that utter shithole of a club gets relegated. I'm hoping we see similar levels of interest and commitment as the last two games but the fear is they'll switch off, saying that this one is on telly isn't it? so maybe they will be up for it. I'd like to see us get rid of one of Colback or Anita for this one as I just don't feel they offer anything when we're on the front foot which I expect us to be in for a good amount of this game. I'd also like to see Thauvin at least come on in this one, we need to start giving him game time eventually and this lot are about as soft a target as there is at the minute.
  10. Agreed, from what I gather Wijnaldum likes to be behind the striker. It's just a shame Tiote has been so our of form as he would be a good fit there to cover for a more adventurous CM. I think Wijnaldum on the left wing is a bit of a waste as he doesn't get on the ball much out there especially with Dummett behind him who prefers to pass it inside or lump it forward. Colocinni is a concern mind as you say but I think we can survive the season with him if we can show as much commitment as we have for the last two games, I would like to see a Colocinni replacement and a left back brought in over summer though.
  11. I really hope De Jong does come good, I think he just really needs mobile players around him. Anita and Colback both sit so deep most of the time so he ends up being pretty isolated, I'd really like to see us go and get a proper CM that can link the lines up properly. The difficult part is playing De Jong in his favoured position means playing Wijnaldum out of his, it would be nice if McClaren could figure out a way to play both of them at the expense of Colback against weaker sides especially.
  12. Honestly man you'd think after a few years of being millionaires they'd grow up a bit but they still act like a bunch of total charvers. Carragher is unbearable btw, he knows he's boring and was always in Neville's shadow on sky sports so he's making an attempt to seem edgy by doing the Roy Keane approach of giving harsh truths, the problem is Carragher is a moron and just stuck his foot in his mouth when saying the only thing football is about is winning. It's true at a certain level of course but honestly for the majority of football clubs it rarely or never happens so the next best thing is entertainment which is what that side brought at a level few in the Prem have. The team won nowt but he's further showing what a divvie he is that he hasn't noticed that basically anytime the side is brought up it's nearly always followed by the fact they came close but won nowt.
  13. Aye, just saw a short one with him where he talked about the players talking at half time about how they were a goal down and everyone will expect them to fold now so they fought back, if that's true it's positive stuff as it's about time the squad had a bit of pride about them and stopped being okay with taking hammerings. Just hope we see more of the same effort against Villa, hopefully with some more shots on goal.
  14. This, the bloke is a total fucking charver. He's just trying to gain some press for himself now Neville has left Sky Sports.
  15. Can't say I agree with that. Perez scored the winner against Bournemouth and aye they both were poor against Leicester but so were the other 9 on the pitch, then Perez helped spark the win over Liverpool. Mitrovic I can understand a little more but I still don't see the value in playing Cisse and we didn't get much joy against Liverpool with Cisse up there on his own until Perez came on and Wijnaldum moved centrally. I'm happy to give McClaren credit for making the subs but they both should start against Villa.
  16. Aye and truth be told he's probably the best we can hope for under Ashley, if he was to leave the replacement would be someone like Sherwood.
  17. Should have had them on from the start man. Playing Cisse is a waste of time and De Jong's complete lack of movement creates a big disconnect in midfield.
  18. A come from behind win, didn't know it was possible to do.
  19. Perez and Mitro come on and we win, paying attention McClaren?
  20. Alli squaring up to Mitro after spending the whole game being pushed about by the wind.
  21. Get the fuck in Mitro, done more than Cisse has in 2 games can we stop starting Cisse now McClaren?
  22. Cisse about 10 yards offside, what a fucking waste of space the bloke is man.
  23. So in the last 160 minutes of football we've had 1 shot on target. (it's probably longer than that btw can't remember when our 2nd shot on target come against Palace). Just had a quick look and we've had 5 shots on target in the last 5 games (including so far today in that) it's a big problem this like.
