Aye Balotelli would be a disaster at Newcastle and I thought he was on pretty crackers wages. I think Ayew is canny but not sure where he would fit in to our side unless he was to play on the wing, I wouldn't want to play him off Mitro as that would mean Wijnaldum having to either drop deeper or play wide and Ayew isn't as good as Wijnaldum. Not too fussed about Gomis, his goal record this season is 6 goals in 19 games (last season was 7 in 31) and Mitro's is 4 goals in 17 so doesn't seem like he would be any more prolific and at 30 he's not a project like Mitro is.

I must admit he has proven me wrong, I wasn't keen on what I saw of him in appearances before Krul got hurt but he has stepped up and done well. I don't think he is a quiet lad which helps, long may it continue.

He's a class above everyone on the pitch most weeks (including when we play top sides), there was a piece of play when he picked up the ball in the centre circle under heavy pressure and he just switched feet and calmly took it round the bloke who was climbing all over him and turned it into an attacking move he's just quality. I think he'll enjoy having Shelvey behind him as it will allow him to stay further forward and not have to worry about getting the ball, if Townsend comes in then I think it'll be the end of him being wasted out wide as well (even though I'm confident McClaren has figured that out now).

Think we've shown in recent weeks that the teams high up the table are nowt special, have to deal with Ighalo who had our defenders number in the first game we played them. If we can play like we did against Man Utd and that first half I think we will pick up points.
