  1. 2 down and he brings fucking Gouffran on, just take the lads off the pitch and fuck off home Steve. A week left of the window, this better be a rocket up their arse to do something after they have wasted more than half the window 'chasing' two players they were always going to be priced out of.
  2. We're going to lose to this wank Watford side 3 times this season, this one coming after a losing streak. It's a good job the club seem to be doing all they can to fix our useless defence and lack of goals.
  3. Aye dreadful half of football, Aarons looks well off match fitness so it makes the decision to start him even more perplexing. The players also seem to be struggling as to what the fuck the formation is, Sissoko is all over the pitch and Wijnaldum keeps getting pulled wide left while Janmaat sprints back to RB constantly but Mbemba keeps being pulled central.
  4. Aye that was the one that made me really start noticing.
  5. I wish the referee would take some action against all these dives the Watford players keep doing, anytime they think they're losing the ball they just go down.
  6. It's nice to see Aarons back in the team but I think it's a little harsh on Perez since he scored last game, he could be tired mind as he looked paggered towards the end of the West Ham match.
  7. James Milner with a good finish, earned himself a bit of extra milk in his Yorkshire tea tonight!
  8. See the Mackems are pulling out the old 'classy' phrase in relation to the abuse Harper got on Twitter following his move, a fair amount was from Sunderland fans too mind but they've been quickly written off as "mags pretending to be lads fans", they're also oblivious to the abuse they gave Colback when he moved to Newcastle. A particular cracker was this lad who clearly missed making any point whatsoever: "Interesting when you compare. We sign Danny Graham, a mag who belittled SAFC in a magazine article previously. Not only do we support him at first we are still applauding the fucker after scoring once in 40 odd games and wishing him well for the future" Graham signed for them so I'm not sure how that situation is similar to this Harper 'situation' they're all banging on about. Personally I'm chuffed for them, they sold their number 1 keeper and have replaced him with a 40 year old, call us unclassy or whatever made up parameter they want to measure the fan bases up with but that is a fucking horrific move.
  9. Nah McClaren did a shite job with England, he inherited a good squad that had been ko'd of the World cup QF's on penalties in a close game and totally fucked up qualifying from a fairly straight forward group. The group was Andorra, Russa, Croatia, Israel, Macedonia and Estonia. We drew with Israel and Macedonia, lost to Russia once and Croatia twice. The Croatian side were canny but Capello's England destroyed a not drastically different Croatia twice in 2010 WC qualifying. Even if he had just beaten Macedonia we'd have been in man. Call England shite but they comfortably qualify regularly as despite them not being up to snuff at most Tournaments (for various reasons) they are better than most of the shite that is in qualification and should expect qualification to most tournaments (as Ewerk succinctly put it). I don't mind McClaren but he done a shite job for England and was rightly slated, saying that I do think international management is a totally different way of managing and it simply doesn't suit certain managers.
  10. Good luck to the bloke, all them years under Allardyce might have set him up for lower league coaching.
  11. It'll always be desperate until it's in our own hands (if it ever is) as long as we are depending on Swansea or others slipping up we are in the shit.
  12. The Burundi version was harsher. Honestly had no idea about his background and it sounds like a rough one. He still has a worrying tendency to fall out with managers, saying that I'd definitely fall out with Tony Pulis if I was a footballer as the bloke is clearly an utter cunt and looks like he's more of a rugby bloke (definitely has all of Jeremy Clarkson's books as well).
  13. Aye agree with this his strength and hold up play have led to goals, hope the lad can improve his finishing but as I said in the other thread he doesn't hide from the ball after missing a sitter which is a good sign.
  14. I'd rather it be this way round rather than selling him and fuck up the replacements deal leaving us short.
  15. There's a few on there tbh, there's one called 'a mag in peace' who said something along the lines of "in a few weeks your lot will be well clear of it" when talking about the relegation spots.
  16. He's an odd bloke, they've been stockpiling slightly above average for years expecting that to get them into the CL spots. 10m for a bloke your team never plays is excellent money and his price is only going 1 way the longer he sits on the bench/in the reserves.
  17. Fuck sake, bet the stupid twats turn up and comfortably beat us on the weekend as well.
  18. Heavily linked to Berahino again today, talented lad but no idea if he would fit into our current game plan although McClaren would no doubt have a plan for him since it would seem more likely to be his signing.
  19. It would serve me right for having a pop at the king.
  20. The little rant felt good after I caught "part one of behind the badge" about Crystal Palace yesterday as it came on after the Arsenal v Stoke match, seeing his smug face and him yapping on about how important the FA cup is, despite seemingly not giving a fuck when he was at us, drove me a little mental, and by little I mean it made me want to frisbee my set top box out the window.
  21. I know it's only paper talk but I'm slightly worried we're never linked to any left backs, the club can't seriously view Dummett as the long term answer at left back. I think Dummett is a canny enough CB and would make a good 3rd choice but he's a dodgy full back.
  22. It does aye, I do think Mitro will become a good player and he seems to have the right attitude as after missing a sitter he doesn't shy away from the ball. I think we're fairly fortunate that Wijnaldum is a good finisher so it can at times paper over Mitrovic's lack of goals, I also think Mitrovic's play style leads to goals for us as he's good at holding up the ball and tying up defenders. I would like to see us bring in a striker who is a bit more experienced mind as Cisse looks to have gone to shit a bit and the amount of offsides and miscontrols he does wastes a lot of good build up play.
  23. Aye he does, probably to try and appeal to the fans and make him seem more like them (especially at Palace) when they start getting on his back a little.
  24. Aye, I think McClaren deserves credit for the turnaround in chances created. Earlier in the season we had a lot of possession but didn't create anything at all (often only 1 shot on target) but he has definitely made some tweaks which has us getting more opportunities, obviously having a bloke who passes the ball forwards in CM last match helped us but our chances have been increasing in number the last few games.
  25. He normally gets one really good run of form per season, the rest of the season is usually a fucking disaster as when the wheels come off the unsustainable game plan A he has no fucking clue what to do. When Cabaye was hurt or huffy the team reverted to 1920's style hoofball, which really hurt us. The season we came 5th we had Cabaye playing quality, with two back to back unsustainable goal scoring runs by our two strikers, our defence also played amazing with Colocinni peaking. To Pardew's credit he did manage it all well that season even though I still think most of the games served up weren't great to watch. Palace this season had Bolasie and Cabaye playing amazing but as Stone Cold said Bolasie has been hurt and Cabaye has missed games here and there recently so Pardew hasn't had a clue what to do, especially as their strikers simply don't score goals. I think the reason for the media love in with Pardew comes from these crazy runs of form that catch the eye and he's not at all shy about giving himself all of the credit (he normally starts wearing his thick rimmed glasses during this time and speaking slower to come across all continental), then when it goes tits up his team are (usually) safe from relegation and just slip into mid-table obscurity with the media completely focused on the title race and relegation fight by that point. I don't think Palace will go down under him as I think he has figured out how to get at least one of these runs per season which seem to pick up enough points to all but guarantee safety, the Palace fans will no doubt get sick of it but the daft bastards deserve every minute of shite football they get served up by local hero (and national cockend) Alan Pardew after the grief they (and the media) gave us, I also hope that when they inevitably turn on the King the media rip them to bits.
