How many times are we going to play conservative. It clearly doesn't work for us and we didn't invest anything in the defence that would make us better at soaking up pressure. They keep moving the ball out wide and crossing but we only have Perez in there, waste of fucking time this.
-
I've always wondered why Martinez got as much hype as he did, he got a ton of credit for late runs of form which kept Wigan up but those praising him sort of omitted that they had been fucking shite all season which put them in a position of needing a late run of extraordinary form to pull them out the shit.
-
Aye most Everton fans I've met have been canny, that post is clearly from a bloke that doesn't really get out much.
-
 It's like a losers support group. I notice they've started the 'seven in a row' craic now after the now memorable behind closed doors friendly win they enjoyed over Gabriel Obertan and co, like everything with them it started with a slight joke to test the water until no one opposed it and now it's their new saying.
-
He does aye but it's better than the confused old bloke in a B & Q look that Dummett has.
-
Agreed the lad is a total liability, I think he's a good reason why when Wijnaldum is moved out wide he struggles as Dummett very rarely gives him the ball so that's a good amount of the ball he would normally see if he was in front of a capable full back gone. I'd still like to see Mbabu given a chance as he did very little wrong in the few games he played and I'm unsure what Dummett showed while Mbabu was injured that guaranteed him to stay on as starter.
-
We've definitely got a chance as they have been poor this season, saying that we have struggled against them in recent seasons and Barkley in particular tends to have stormers against us. Very odd post you've quoted there like Stevie, a lot of the stereotypes he levels at Newcastle fans can just as easily be said of Liverpudlians.
-
Aye, he also fits with the other targets this window in that they were youngish players who had Premiership experience. I think they got really desperate and I doubt we'll see any move for Berahino in the summer. I'm really glad they had the sense to bring Doumbia in on loan because it would have been typical of them to chase Berahino, realize they weren't going to get him at like 8pm and eventually miss out on anyone. I also don't have any resentment towards West Brom for rejecting the bid as if the roles were reversed I'd hope we would do the same, whether he's playing or not it'd have been daft giving us a striker that would score goals for us. The window was ok but they have again failed to address the glaring weakness that is our left back position, it's sad that it takes utter fucking panic for them to start making moves (the summer moves came from the fear off the back of last seasons horror show).
-
I think he come through the youth system as a CB it's just we have no left backs so he gets shoved there.
-
He's a left back (which is more than can be said for our current first choice there) and is definitely better than what we have there, hopefully there is truth in it. The failed bid for the Athletico Madrid lad gives me hope that it's true as they're clearly at least looking for a left back.
-
And we all know Charnley is completely incapable of doing more than one thing at a time so that concludes our business.
-
Aye, it's sadly true like. We've basically been scrapping relegation for the last two seasons and had shown a complete lack of interest to kick on from 2012/13's 5th place finish in 2013/14. How old is this kid? 22? so he was only 18 when we came 5th and between the ages of 15-18 we were being relegated, getting promoted and then fighting for mid-table, I can't imagine he rates us very highly tbh.
-
The BBC just "broke" that Newcastle have bid £21m for Berahino, an hour or so after it was rejected ffs.
-
Hopefully the Doumbia move gets completed because with other teams bidding now I can't see how we will get Berahino. Especially when you factor in West Broms desire to avoid selling to relegation rivals, we would have to bid a fair whack more than other bids.
-
I heard somewhere they don't want to sell him to someone who is in the relegation battle with them, fair enough really.
-
Aye, I would like to see both him and Doumbia come in as it gives us an older striker who has been prolific (albeit in a lesser league) alongside two players with a lot of potential.
-
It's only been a year I thought. Went there last January then went back to CSKA on loan at the start of this season. I'd rather gamble on him than waste money on Gomis mind but agree they've really fucked about if this is what we are down too.
-
We initially chased him for a few years before not bothering to get him when he was out of contract due to wages didn't we? now they're going to spunk 7m plus whatever his wages are to get him Utter thick cunts. Oh aye he's not much use either from what he has done at Swansea, bit pathetic when our list of striking targets seemed to be: Lacazette, Berahino, Remy and then drop to Gomis.

Better than our current lb's who can't do either.
-
Is it Seydou? He almost had a goal a game in Russia prior to his move to Roma Iirc. I would still like to get Remy in on loan as we know full well he will get us goals.
-
Aye 6 in 16, not bad in a side as poor as that one. He'd score goals for us so he's a no brainer imo if we are able to get him, I'd far rather have him on loan than buying some utter shite like Gomis. I'd feel a lot more confident of staying up if we got Remy in.

Class to hear stuff like that, says a lot about the bloke that he found the flyer and took initiative to seek out the small charity and is clearly having a massive hand in keeping it running. It's also nice to see that a lot of these blokes are very different off the pitch, Costa's a cunt on the field but if that story's true he's very charitable off it with his time and money, compare that to a good amount of players who are probably much more respected for how they act on the field who leave the training pitch and spend the rest of their day playing FIFA or having a Nandos. -
 They're still planning to prepare the money to be used for planning the investment into the youth system, getting quotes from vendors one at a time and they will not be held to ransom.
