Anichebe up top for them on his own, if they score with that useless prick up top we're well and truly done.
-
The commentator just said Man City's goal there shows Leicester are shaky, which will matter in the final weeks of the season... well what does being battered 3-1 at home by title rivals mean? thick fucking prick. I'm loving this tbh, it's winding these so called experts up to no end. They've trotted that "it'll come to an end" cliche out all season and it hasn't happened yet but they're sticking too it, the worst part is you know for a fact that as soon as it becomes inevitable they'll all suddenly jump on the bandwagon and say they'd been saying it all along.
-
Aye they best knock that attitude right on the head, the commentator just said "when are Leicester City going to get back in their box and realize who they are? IF they were called Manchester United or Chelsea we would be saying this is them pulling away now but because it's Leicester others will feel they can be chased down easier now" aye keep saying stuff like that you utter fucking knackers. Sorry like but pundits are showing how little they know about the game when they come out with patter like that.

His 'good run' is him in and out of the side tbh. We barely create chances and that is the key problem to the side, as Ewerk said we're 17th in the league for chances created, if we were creating plenty of chances a game and he was fluffing everything then he would be to blame but him having barely any chances week to week means he's really struggling. McClaren 'mixing things up' against Everton was thick and it cost us the game from kick off, we had no focal point to the attack despite finally having a winger who could get the ball into him. McClaren is rightfully shouldering a lot of the blame right now, the strikers aren't prolific but with more chances they are definitely capable enough to win us games.
-
But that is what you are doing, if Mitrovic and the other forwards had more chances they would be scoring more goals. Currently Mitrovic comes on gets a good chance and misses, he is then either hauled off or dropped for the following game, how can he get into any sort of scoring form? If we were creating 4 or 5 good scoring chances every game and he was fluffing the 3 that fell to him every week then you could brand him as a striker who can't hit a barn door.

50m? we spent around 28m in jan didn't we? 12m on Townsend, same on Shelvey and 4m on Saivet. He has also had 2 of those players for 3 games now. I think it's far from harsh, look at the (rightful) grief Carver got and he got 13 points from 19 games (4 draws, 3 wins, 12 losses), McClaren's first 19 games we got 17 points (4 wins, 5 draws and 10 losses), McClaren had basically the same squad as Carver except with the additions of Wijnaldum, Thauvin, Mitrovic and Mbemba (47mish in total). I fully blame that fat cunt Ashley for the squad but even then the current lot should definately be doing better than they are.

We don't create many chances at all, I understand it's easy to slate a bloke like Mitrovic who walked onto the pitch and missed our only good chance of the game against Everton but that's all the lad really gets, one good chance a week and sometimes it's his only chance. A 21 year old in his first season in the league can't be expected to tuck the one chance a week he gets away. The team is dogshit but we managed to get more wins under Pardew and Carver last season with 80m+ of players less, his tactics have regularly fucked us before the team even stepped on the field, the Everton game being a prime example of that. The players deserve shit but I disagree that McClaren is getting more stick than he deserves.

It's a good thing we have invested in a talented left back that could stop balls into the box... I think we'll get beat, the team are fucking hopeless, McClaren doesn't seem to know how to set them up and what to do with them, the players aren't interested. We had two major areas of need on the pitch, we needed someone to score goals and players in that can stop goals, instead we spent the window haggling over 2m for a winger and chasing a striker from a club that had no interest in selling him to us (fwiw I didn't mind the Shelvey buy at all as it was another area of need because we couldn't carry on with Colback and Anita). Our only real hope is that Wijnaldum puts in a top performance since it's at home, the best part of the Townsend buy is it almost guarantees old ginger quiff wont push Wijnaldum wide.

Aye it's fucking crackers. It's also pretty telling of their reluctance to spend on defenders when 2 out of the 8 defenders come through the youth system and 2 more were bought cheap with an eye to eventually bringing them through, I'd say that would be positive if they weren't all basically shit. They have clearly noticed that attacking midfielders/wingers tend to be the easiest to sell on at a big profit but they seem to have completely ignored the fact that you do actually need a team around those players or else they never get the ball/end up having too many goals to catch up. It's just really sad that fans have noticed things like this and have done for years yet the people running the club are seemingly blind too it.

I'm assuming something along the lines of: The lads worked hard, just couldn't get the ball to break due to the weather conditions, unlucky to give away two late pens but the lads were tired from their effort. Had a chance for Mitro but it just wouldn't fall for him etc.

Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)
Howay replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye, I mean it's barely in a formation anymore which was shown when Townsend was moved to right midfield after Mitro came on Sissoko was still stood out on the right side of midfield half the time. You see it when a player picks the ball up in our half, there's always a hesitation of where to go with it because we have no plan, meanwhile Everton constantly moved the ball to exploit the flanks and moved with purpose. The commentator also mentioned Everton have conceded the 2nd most corners in the league, I wonder how much we looked into those corners they conceded and practiced corners... -
Aye he definately has an air of Mike Williamson mkII about him. Went into the window desperately needing a Striker and defenders, we bought 3 midfielders and got a 54 year old in on loan. The window was their last chance, I've no idea how a bloke like Charnley is still making decisions btw we have been scrapping relegation ever since he was appointed but Ashley doesn't think to make a change there?

It worries me that we still don't seem to have any sort of tactic. We just sort of meander about games without any real direction, of course doing stuff like setting up to whip balls in from the wings and then playing Perez as lone striker don't help that. The team looks lost and by this point it should have at least a direction, he has had long enough to put his stamp on the side. Again though I'm not sure what else we could have expected appointing a bloke who got the sack from Derby County. -
Well that was fucking daft by Lascelles. He was another waste of money. This team are down like, no pride or anything in the side and no tactical organization.
-
Everton's two last prem wins have both been against us we are fucked like.
-
Not bothering to bring in a left back biting us on the arse.
-
The one saying Perez should have got a straight red? Unreal how fucking thick he is if he thought that
-
Aye sent them out to counter attack a team that hasn't won since Boxing Day and then expects them to suddenly be full of confidence.
-
Colo seemed surprised his tactic of letting Barkley set the ball up and have a crack almost ended in a goal.
-
Townsend getting into good positions looking up and seeing Perez marked, get Mitro on you fucking nugget.
-
Playing a kid completely out of position over Dummett now, how the fuck did they not ensure we got a left back?
-
Aye bought a chalk on the boots, whip balls in winger then drop our powerful, big, target man of a striker.
-
Going down like, can't be looking this gutless and this shit this far into the season and expect to stay up.
-
Mbemba off, good thing we invested in defenders in Jan....
