Villa carry on being shit meaning Swansea are probably out of reach now.
-
Aye he's being a bellend, the post was really quite specific and wasn't some sort of throw away "I'll show me arse in Fenwicks window" type comment. Why say something like that? Stupid mackem prick.
-
I think a lot of confidence stems from the fact anytime we've been half way decent it has been at home, Wijnaldum is a different player at home and contributes a fair bit. We looked okay against Leicester and Benitez has had 10-11 days training with them in total now since he hasn't given them any days off, as I've said before I think we'll control the ball but it's really down to whether we can score or not. Even though I fucking hate International breaks I think this one comes at a good time for us as well, especially if we manage to win tomorrow.
-
We can't lose to a team that has a fan base that refers to us as poocastle... poocastle ffs
-
Funnily enough he had a weird pop at Leicester in his pre-match notes: In his programme notes for Palace's game against the Foxes at Selhurst Park, Pardew writes: "Unlike Leicester we have been unfortunate to lose key players for long periods," and "Today's opponents have been awarded 10 penalties this season, which is double the total of any other team." Funny that he paid no mind to our own surprising lack of injuries when we came 5th, it was all him to thank then...

The Leicester fans are still in the stadium cheering, the Crystal Palace announcer just asked 'would the Leicester City fans please mind leaving the stadium now?' over the PA system
-
 Aye I never thought much of that until I saw this and then it hit me how far we've fallen under this absolute winnet.
-
Defoe will score some daft long range shot from 25 yards after Taylor backs off him after we've controlled the game up to that point, we'll then fluff a bunch of chances. Is my fear, I know we're a lot more capable at home than we are away but our struggles in front of goal really worries me.
-
Agreed, they've looked solid but they've struggled to score and today's goal was scrappy as fuck so the hope is it's a rare one off and they struggle to score in future games but I agree they're the main threat.
-
Aye bit of a flawed mentality that, I get it to a certain degree as you don't have the pressure of win no matter what that the first team (should) have but I highly doubt any of the top academies that produce good players have that mentality, especially by the U-21 stage.
-
Aye he's doing a shocking job. I actually found the result on facebook because one of the coaches said something about being proud of how the team acquitted themselves What a culture of total fucking losers NUFC has nowadays.
-
Just saw that the U-21 side drew 2-2 with FC Edmonton who have Tomi Ameobi playing for them, we are absolute fucking shite throughout.
-
Aye it's still in our hands really which is about all you can hope for in this sort of situation.
-
I always thought Norwich would be the team to fear if we were going to stay up, I don't think it changes loads as we still really have to beat them and the tramps and if we don't do that we fully deserve to go down anyway.

Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)
Howay replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
The mail reckons old ginger quiff gave the players 72 hours off before games, and they players fucked off at lunch. If that's true it's no wonder the team look so shit. -
Perhaps, he's a bit of an unknown quantity though so it's hard to be excited by the prospect. They have precedent for appointing the assistant obviously so I'd say there's a good chance.
-
Fair point.
-
Well a lot of his past issues with team mates ended with him allegedly giving them a smack or threatening them, can't really see him approaching managing a side that is going down in a much different way.
-
He would probably be about the best option for rebuilding in the Championship to be fair (short of the impossibility of Benitez staying, which I see as implausible for his wages just as much as his preference to not be manager of a Championship team).
-
It's going to be completely shite if we go down and he leaves, imagine how down everyone will be when the next useless old English failure that is appointed comes in.
-
Aye I think that is a big part of it, that's why I'm interested to see how Zidane does at Madrid.
-
You would think so but he hasn't helped the youth much going by their results. I guess the main thing is being a quality player has no correlation to being a good coach, Kluivert was a quality striker but I'm sure Rafa is confident in the coaches he brought with him.
-
Aye that's class, didn't fancy watching Taylor and Lascelles playing against the mackems. If Mbemba and Colo start it definitely increases our chances of at least getting a draw.
-
He just misses Greggs.
-
What an utter bellend "our trick", I hope he starts tbh as I think he is more dangerous when he comes on fresh towards the end otherwise he's utter shite.
