The young lads played well, Dier and Alli were cracking (Alii's late miss aside). Kane and Vardy showed they can work together which is good. I just have no confidence in Hodgson to learn much from this, he even said that Dier is in Wilshere's shadow when it comes to selection before the game. Vardy should have played from the start, it was a friendly and surely the main thing that we could hope to learn is if Vardy and Kane were able to play together but instead he had Vardy on the bench and Welbeck or Lallana filling the spot. I also feel he's going to try and shoehorn Rooney into the side no matter what. Henderson and Cahill looked pedestrian again. I'd like to see him play Barkley over Henderson for the next friendly and start Vardy over either Lallana or Welbeck, a midfield 3 of Barkley, Alli and Dier would be positive and dynamic which would make a change from the normal plodding displays we normally see there. Again though I'm yet to be convinced that any of this matters and I'm sure in Hodgsons mind Rooney is an automatic starter, he will take Wilshere as long as he is going to be able to play at some point in the Tournament and Vardy will start on the bench.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/nile-rangers-makes-extraordinary-claim-11089829#rlabs=1%20p$5 “Even though I have my baggage and my past, I am established and I am a good footballer,” he added. “I am a natural-born talent. Everyone makes mistakes - I’ve just made more than others. But now I am ready to settle down. “Look at Joey Barton - he has reinvented himself very well. That is someone showing you it can actually happen. “I’ve got a nice aura about me. People might think ‘Oh he knows gangs’, but it’s far from that. “If I made it back into the Premier League it would be a great story - you could write a book on it afterwards.” This lad is a total fucking idiot, it's a big IF that he would have made it even if he wasn't such a complete piece of shit especially with a record of 17 goals in 117 games with none of the 17 goals coming in the Premier League. He had a level of talent for sure but it was far from the type that you saw and thought he'd definitely make it at the top level, it would have took a lot of hard work and commitment which he's incapable of. Bringing Barton into the discussion is stupid as Barton had already proven himself as a PL level player before he made a lot of his bigger mistakes, that makes teams more lenient with it than if you're just constantly fucking up and doing nowt on the pitch. Ryder will be gutted that his rival Chris Waugh has quite clearly been given the go-ahead by Ranger to write his Biography.

Is the animal porn stuff for real? This bloke is an utter fucking deviant man it's a good job he's locked up, the chances of some filthy scumbag like this committing some other sexual crime must be pretty high (even if it's botting some sheep). The mackems would probably defend it "Well we all know that lamb wasn't some plain dolly... it was clearly a sexy lamb compared to the others and knew what it was getting into".
-
Utterly bizarre post, why are they continuing to defend him? "breaking the letter of the law" IS breaking the law so the first sentence totally destroys whatever bullshit defence he's trying to make up later, "well all he did was break the law so he shouldn't go to jail for that should he?" brilliant thinking that. I'm still very unsure about what he means by the girl not being a "plain Jane 15 year old", sounds like another ridiculous victim blaming type of defence. If he was 15 and a top actress who was 28/29 began flirting and offering to meet him places what would he have done? These laws are in place to defend against predatory behavior on people defined by law as not being old enough to make these decisions, trying to then say "well she made the decision to do it" makes no sense as the law is there to defend someone who in the laws eyes is not old enough to make the decision. They can scream on about how saying it's 15 is arbitrary but then we can go on about that forever, it is what it is, the same way the drinking age is 18, you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes etc etc, they need to draw a line somewhere and he knew he was crossing that line so they should all just knock this on the head now.
-
The 53% of people that voted 'yes' will no doubt be the first ones screaming at him when he runs the ball out for the 5th time in a row. He's shite and so is Marveaux, stop it.
-
Marveaux is the exact opposite of what we want, the bloke literally moves to get out of the way of oncoming players rather than make an attempt to tackle them (the worst one was against Sunderland a couple of seasons back) he's shite and so is Obertan.
-
I think they completely are aye, he was immediately saying this backs up what he has been saying all along about borders and then went on a rant about how Brussels is one of the most dangerous places in the world.
-
Aye and NBC news over here chose to have Donald fucking Trump ring in and speak on the matter, his contribution was idiotic and in no way insightful as to be expected. Awful awful scenes again, they're saying at least 26 killed.
-
We desperately need Colo back, I can't handle watching that Lascelles lad playing while wearing his roller skates anymore, I honestly don't know if I've seen a player slip over as much as he does each match.

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16

His timing is impeccable mind, as Palace hurtle from a position of relative safety to possible relegation. -
Aye the bloke is completely full of shite, you're spot on regarding the fact the club could run well without him doing anything if he just appointed the right people but instead he appoints heed the baals like Charnley, the fact of the matter is he wouldn't have a bloke like Lee Charnley in a senior position at Sports Direct so why do it at NUFC? Fucking cock. If he is as upset about the club and wanting nothing to do with it anymore than why not just sell it and take a hit? He wont of course but he can't then stand and moan about being sick of it. The thing with Rafa's appointment is it was purely in panic and would never have happened in a stable situation, we'd have got some shite English manager and whether we stay up or not I don't see it being long before we return to that norm.
-
It was more Perez in the role that Wijnaldum is normally in with Wijnaldum and Shelvey behind him. Colback then went off for De Jong, Sissoko went to left back De Jong went to Perez's position (Attacking mid) and Perez moved out wide left. Townsend then came off for Cisse, Wijnaldum moved wide right, Cisse up top with Mitro and De Jong dropped to CM alongside Shelvey. Anita finally came on at RB for the injured Janmaat, so we ended in a 4-4-2.
-
McClaren really didn't know what he was doing though. Benitez sees things not working on the pitch and is willing to move players around and try and change the formation to exploit weakness, such as switching to two up top which allowed Cisse to occupy the CB's meaning Mitro got a favourable 1v1 on the back post against their fullback. McClaren generally kept the formation the same despite it not working and would have more likely than not subbed Mitrovic off for Cisse or Riviere and we would have lost.
-
Relegation would never make him sell up, the value of the club would significantly lower so why would he? He'd only ever sell us when we were in the Premiership or if we were in a complete mess and were languishing somewhere in the lower leagues and he was thoroughly sick of owning the club so was willing to take the hit.
-
Aye he does, it would have definitely been a loss under McClaren.
-
Aye joint 2nd worst defence in the league (tied with us ) and we only managed one goal at home against it, really struggle to see us scoring enough goals to keep us up.
-
And your lot are any good? You struggled to pose a threat to a defence consisting of 2 midfielders and a 22 year old Championship player.
-
Aye he was incapable of not grabbing the bloke he was defending today (as he is most matches). The oddest thing is he always seems in a rush as there was numerous times he had Borini trapped on the touchline with nowhere to go and instead of waiting for a chance to get the ball he tried to just force one, which gave Borini a chance to go over and get a free kick from absolutely nothing.
-
It definitely will once POV porn becomes available on these things.
-
He is aye but it was almost as if he was trying to get sent off today, pulling Borini's shirt while Borini was sat on the ground and Colback was already on a yellow .
-
He is aye but he's better than whatever the fuck Colback was doing today.
