  1. Not looked arsed all season to be honest. This is heading for a 3-0 Southampton win, I don't think we'll win a game the rest of the season.
  2. I don't understand how Taylor can play professional football, he had one job there which was to not let Long inside but instead he was running away with his back to Long (why???) and allowed long to just turn inside, he is a totally shit player and I'm sick to the back teeth of watching the cunt how do we get stuck with these pricks for their whole careers man.
  3. Aye he's playing well today, should have an assist as well as the first goal was onside imo.
  4. No bother, again I'm not really sure what I said is really the case but it's a general idea of how he could do it. Edit: I just had a quick google and it seems I'm about right going off this canny article: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/09/mike-ashley-sports-direct-tycoon-empire-profile They do a far better job than I did Troop so have a look on there if you're bothered.
  5. You can owe yourself money you'd just have to be a bit mental to do so and you'd not get far in court in fact they'd probably not let you in the door. In the case of Ashley though we're talking about companies owing other legal entities money, the fact he offered the money and accepted it on behalf of both companies is irrelevant. The real reason Ashley did this is he guarantees himself payment (as much as possible), if he had invested the 100m+ himself into the club and failed to sell the club at a higher price which included what we acknowledge as the loan he'd lose out on that money upon the sale (there is ways he could create an obligation mind iirc). In the current instance though if Ashley sold the club for the price he bought it for the club will still owe St James' Holdings the full amount that he loaned NUFC (less any payments NUFC had made to lower the principal), it's an obligation to be paid opposed to an investment by the owner. You're getting caught up in who is the owner of both companies but legally they are separate entities and can owe each other money. Btw I'm not 100% sure if all of this is the case as I'm just going off the very little I've read on the topic and speaking in pretty general terms.
  6. Does he bleed more if we get battered? If so the Pardew years would have been horrific. From what I remember it's his holding company St James' Holdings owns NUFC, they also loaned NUFC the money, so NUFC owes St James' Holdings the money that was used to lower the debt etc. As others have said he's a separate legal entity from NUFC, his holding company loaned the money he had invested in the holding company to NUFC and NUFC agreed to the terms which iirc were interest free. That's briefly how I remembered it anyway it's been a long time since I bothered reading much about Ashley's ownership and the early loan.

Learn something new everyday eh, they also all genuinely thought Kevin Phillips was a better player than Alan Shearer. Bunch of fucking winnets.
  8. We do aye but Mike Ashley is our owner, Dummett and Haidara will both be capable in the Championship so that'll be good enough for Ashley and co, the fact they have both missed their fair share of games won't impact that for Ashley imo. He'll roll the dice on having at least 1 of them fit for every game.
  9. I can see that, I mean by lower prem I'm more meaning they should be squad players rather than lads that are starting 30+ prem games. Fully agree about Anita though, the championship won't suit him at all (not that he's any use in the Prem mind), it's just so full of cloggers and I think size is much more important down there.
  10. Dummett is definately going to be our LB in the championship and to be fair he'll be a good fullback in that league.

To be fair to Sunderland they normally tend to oblige by being as equally shit as we are, even when we got relegated they spent the year scrapping against the drop and we finished above them in our first season back up. I'd be annoyed if they done what Boro look like doing, mainly because their fans are fucking insufferable the whole NE top dogs shit is an example of that since they created it around the time we went down completely neglecting the previous however many fucking years we were miles ahead of them.
  12. I think the lad is a bit tidier in his passing than them two and a little more positive in his play, that's why I say he's probably a little bit better but I view all three of them as lower Prem / Upper Championship type of player.
  13. He's ok, the Chronicle are surely talking shite about FC Porto etc wanting him as if he wants to come here over them he's off his fucking rocker or he just misses the diamond strip. At 3m I'm not entirely convinced mind, it's not like he gets many assists but I do think he's a bit better than Colback and Anita.
  14. How fucking depressing would getting relegated on goal difference be.

I'm the same as this tbh. Even when Boro are in the same league as us I'm just not arsed about them, Bernie Slaven was an annoying cunt on the three legends mind, saying that all of them were really. I will say they provide a fair bit of comedy though, from our lot wearing boiler suits and face masks at away games to perhaps the best nickname in football 'nappy-rippers'.
  16. I'm surprised he didn't launch a FIFA investigation into himself and then declare himself completely in the clear, I've not really been keeping up on it but wasn't the new head of FIFA names or in some way linked to the Panama Papers as well? At least they're consistent in their questionable morality.
  17. This is what gets my back up most about Charnley, you know for a fact he hasn't bothered starting any sort of planning for relegation and he's saying it's because he wants to be positive. You can make a contingency plan in case of relegation without effecting any 'positivity' you are sending, whatever the fuck that does. He should have a list of potential managers drawn up and already have scouts looking at potential buys depending on which league we will be in so we are ready to go either way.
  18. Aye I must admit the pens impressed me too, shows a lot of confidence to step up when the score is tight and score a pen especially at his age. What I particularly like about Mitrovic is how he always shows for it, even after a poor miss he doesn't shy away he still wants to be on the ball. He was on a one man mission against Norwich and the team clearly reacted to his energy, if he does stay he'll be a very important player for us in the Championship (or in the Prem if we somehow stay up).
  19. Carroll was nearly completely unproven. To such a point that when he broke Taylor's jaw people wanted rid of Carroll. Mitro has proven himself capable, 8 Prem goals (he could quite easily make double figures) is nothing to turn your nose up at. You want the owners to find "one or two Jamie Vardy's"? Pack it in man, that's what every single club in world football wants ffs.
  20. I think he will due to the price we paid, I can't see Ashley wanted to take a loss on him when he's only 21 and could comfortably get 15 goals in the Championship.
  21. He doesn't, despite the fact basically no one in that league has scored as many Premier League goals as Mitrovic in a season, let alone in their first season and in a relegation side to boot. Got another example, Abel Hernandez come over at about 23/24 and scored 4 in 26 as Hull got relegated he currently has 16 in 33 games in the Championship.
