You can owe yourself money you'd just have to be a bit mental to do so and you'd not get far in court in fact they'd probably not let you in the door. You're getting caught up in who is the owner of both companies but legally they are separate entities and can owe each other money. From what I remember it's his holding company St James' Holdings owns NUFC, they also loaned NUFC the money, so NUFC owes St James' Holdings the money that was used to lower the debt etc. As others have said he's a separate legal entity from NUFC, his holding company loaned the money he had invested in the holding company to NUFC and NUFC agreed to the terms which iirc were interest free. That's briefly how I remembered it anyway it's been a long time since I bothered reading much about Ashley's ownership and the early loan.

We do aye but Mike Ashley is our owner, Dummett and Haidara will both be capable in the Championship so that'll be good enough for Ashley and co, the fact they have both missed their fair share of games won't impact that for Ashley imo. He'll roll the dice on having at least 1 of them fit for every game.

I can see that, I mean by lower prem I'm more meaning they should be squad players rather than lads that are starting 30+ prem games. Fully agree about Anita though, the championship won't suit him at all (not that he's any use in the Prem mind), it's just so full of cloggers and I think size is much more important down there.

Dummett is definately going to be our LB in the championship and to be fair he'll be a good fullback in that league.

To be fair to Sunderland they normally tend to oblige by being as equally shit as we are, even when we got relegated they spent the year scrapping against the drop and we finished above them in our first season back up. I'd be annoyed if they done what Boro look like doing, mainly because their fans are fucking insufferable the whole NE top dogs shit is an example of that since they created it around the time we went down completely neglecting the previous however many fucking years we were miles ahead of them.

I think the lad is a bit tidier in his passing than them two and a little more positive in his play, that's why I say he's probably a little bit better but I view all three of them as lower Prem / Upper Championship type of player.

He's ok, the Chronicle are surely talking shite about FC Porto etc wanting him as if he wants to come here over them he's off his fucking rocker or he just misses the diamond strip.
