Sort of resoundingly answers the old question, often asked when a team is as shite as ours, of "surely there is players in the youth that could do a better job than this rabble", nope, no there is not.

To be fair at least they've finally been truthful, I'm confident that Charnley genuinely had no idea Jonas was an established international. This club is a right fucking farce like.

Aye I don't think Sissoko has a great deal of ability tbh, he's just a really good athlete and is able to burst past people or barge them out the way. When it comes to technical ability I don't think he has a great deal, as Scoobos says he definitely lacks a footballing brain and seems to me to be a head down runner type. I think if he applied himself he'd be a decent enough Premier League player but I haven't seen anything ability wise that makes me think he could be a top CL level player. We've literally seen a handful of good performances from him in 3 years and those were where he just physically overpowered the opposition more than showing any vision or real skill, before us he was at a middling Ligue 1 club, I honestly don't know why any decent side would be interested tbh, I mean stranger things have happened but from what I've seen from him over 3 years he's not much use and he's not exactly a young up and comer now he's really what you'd start seeing as a finished product for a player (I know he can still improve I just mean it's not like he's 20 year old with potential, he's 26 and has a decent sized body of work mostly consisting of average to shit performances). Whatever happens I genuinely hope we never see him play for NUFC again after this season, he's one of the very select few NUFC players I've really fucking disliked.

There has been no signs of a fight from the players, we won't win a game until next season (maybe pre season) and we are down. We still have enough games where we should pick up points but these players simply won't do it.

I think we'll see a similarly uncommitted attempt this time as he'll once again gamble that the squad that stays + a few cheap experienced upper Championship players can do the job, I think the investment will come if there was a season 2 in the Championship, I think he'd spend then to try and force the team back into the Premiership.

I think he'll be offered a new deal when we get relegated and Rafa leaves. He's a Championship level defender (or at least was, I'm not so sure he's even that on recent performances) who Ashley wont have to pay substantially so I imagine that will lead to him being kept.

Agreed, people always point to players like Nolan, Barton etc but they were absolutely hopeless themselves while we were being relegated. Colo and Enrique were two of the worst defenders in the league when we went down, Beye and Bassong looked miles ahead of both. The gap between the Championship and the Prem is massive, there are of course a small number of team towards the top of the Championship that are okay but the majority are more like League one sides. I still reckon we'll come straight back up, we could languish for a season or two for sure but I see no chance of us free falling.

He's a good athlete and well drilled, this is evident as whenever he lost his man (which was quite often when he played for us) he knew to get onto the line to try and block any attempt, which is why he had so many goal line clearances. I think he's an average player in a well drilled back four, it's quite unlike CT to be acting like Simpson is suddenly some world beater because he's going to be in a title winning side, plenty of average players have been part of title winning sides and he's going to be another one of them.

I can't remember without looking but all I remember was the fat cunt waddling down the steps with a look of purpose after the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) flew in, he had started the game in his usual ridiculous position in the stands with two tv's in front of him, he got an absolute hail of abuse going down them stairs. It's funny that he was so confident he was doing a good job at us but when you look back at results like that one, even the wins! the 1-0 against Fulham away was one of the most boring games I've seen us win, show he's full of shit.

I think that's the main reason they catch so much flak, we know they can do better (especially Sissoko who shows it the least) whereas players like Colback and Anita are simply poor players. Janmaat has really given up quite a bit towards the end of the season with his defensive duties, of course you can cite frustration on his part but he's still bottling his duties at times all the same. We saw so much early on from Wijnaldum so it's extremely frustrating that he does fuck all now, even at home he's anonymous. Players like them stand out most when they are not bothering as we know they can play when they want, others like Colback are incapable of dominating a game even when they try their best so it tends to go a bit more unnoticed when they slack off a bit.

What the fuck is our defence going to be now? Anita - Mbemba - Lascelles - Colback It's a really good thing we didn't buy any defenders in January and only one last summer.

In all honesty I wouldn't be bothered if we never saw the cunt play for NUFC again. There's a fair few in the squad I feel that way about tbh. An analyst said on telly before that he feels bad for Sunderland because unlike the Newcastle players they are actually trying, he's right really our lot simply don't give a fuck and it has been like that for a canny while now tbh.
