Clyne's had a poor season tbh, when he was at Southampton I thought he was beginning to edge Walker but Walker has been better this season imo. I find it frustrating that Stones has been fucking dogshit all season and is on the plane, surely taking someone like Shawcross would have been better. Hodgson can't even use the excuse he's using for Wilshere that recent England performances by him have been good, last outing he had for England he was dreadful. I think Rooney has had a couple of okay games for Man Utd at CM, so if Hodgson absolutely has to play him (which he probably will) I'd prefer to see him there rather than take a place away from Vardy or Kane.

I don't see how Carrick is more likely at all, the only thing people can cling on to with him is the fact he's from Newcastle. He'll get offers from USA, China etc as well as a bunch of PL clubs. I think he's one we should look at tbh, he had a fair bit of attention a couple of seasons ago but it's went quiet on that front but in the meantime he has been getting a fair bit of experience. If Rafa stays we'll be a big draw for top Championship players like him, of course PL clubs may throw their hat in the ring if we started to bid but you never know.

Well we all know they didn't play football on weekends under McClaren. Is Rafa really going to stay? This surely cannot be happening with the horrific people that run NUFC trying to seal the deal can it? Unless Rafa is demanding complete and utter control over all areas to do with football.

I just had a quick look and it seems he got 6 in 16 for Blackburn, so maybe he could do a job . I wouldn't want us to sign him mind as it seems once he plays in a PL game he forgets how to kick a football.
