  1. I love the first comment btw, saying "regarding the fairs cup win, that side was built around wyn Davies and and Pop Robson. If Peter Reid played long ball with Quinn and Phillips, this must have been longer ball!" comparing the tactics of a team from the late 1960's to their 1990's side doesn't put Reid's side in a good light .
  2. That's actually a real article? Embarrassing.
  3. That's just a reworded version of what I said . I agree though, he'll get far better offers elsewhere. I just don't see him fancying getting booted about for 42 games home club or not.
  4. I'm not all that worried about them tbh, they're a fair way behind us imo. It'd take a decent overhaul in the summer just to be on level footing with us now, let alone if we manage to confirm Rafa and allow him to buy the players he wants.
  5. If that's true Wijnaldum's going nowhere.
  6. Fucking hell how can they have someone on that is that biased? They haven't won a title since the 80's and it's now been a decade since THAT Champions League win (Copyright Liverpool Football Club), I don't argue that they are a big club but to act like Barcelona and Real Madrid are the only sides you'd go to over them is completely fucking mental. They can keep banging on about how massive they are but they have to remember most of these players nowadays weren't alive for Liverpool's last title win, so to lads like that teams like Chelsea, Man City etc really are more relevant to them as counting the number of prior league titles is irrelevant (unless they're very recent) if you're a player that's looking to compete for them. Klopp is a draw for sure but so are Guardiola, Conte and (possibly) Mourinho. Ridiculous bloke and statement. TLDR - the bloke's a cunt.
  7. Maybe his intelligence is getting out of the way of the ball so his hands don't sting from stopping shots? Other than that I've no idea what Klopp means by intelligent, unless he's just trying to think of some positive to say, because things like his positioning are way off which is what you'd say is 'football intelligence'. I've always thought he was a poor keeper and never got the fuss the mackems made over him.
  8. Aye he was. Reading through the thread and still cracking up at LoveTheBobby's posts, he's not been on in a while has he?
  9. Honestly man the bloke is fucking useless, he made a save after Sevilla's first and the commentators went on about it as if it was the best save they'd ever seen but honestly it was directly at him and he still made a flapping mess of it, if it had went in it would have been fucking horrific on his part.
  10. Aye you had to have thick skin back then . To be fair it was mostly aimed at knackers anyway but people have definitely mellowed.
  11. It's class that his name is his hotmail address as well the fucking huckle.
  12. He was but the ball come to him from a Liverpool players booting it off another Liverpool player in an attempted clearance, I just saw it on the replay. Mignolet is a fucking shambolic keeper btw.
  13. 3-1  Looked offside on first glance In fact it was a deflection off an attempted clearance by a Liverpool player so it didn't matter that he was offside.
  14. 2-1 now, Sevilla have had about 2 handballs since halftime and neither given. The ref must not count handballs.
  15. Toughguymick I'd forgotten about him.
  16. Totally undeserved that, 1-1
  17. Aye, should have had at least one pen from three fairly strong shouts. The 3rd pen shout was a stone waller tbh, the Sevilla defender put his hand on the ball to stop it rolling through to Firminho . Sevilla look dogshit.
  18. That almost made the whole thing worth it.
  19. We also have Bigirimana coming back from his loan at Coventry, still has 1 year on his contract iirc. I mean having a fair amount of shit midfielders wont be why this deal wont go through, it'll be because he'll probably go to a team like Everton or abroad.
  20. Clyne's had a poor season tbh, when he was at Southampton I thought he was beginning to edge Walker but Walker has been better this season imo. I find it frustrating that Stones has been fucking dogshit all season and is on the plane, surely taking someone like Shawcross would have been better. Hodgson can't even use the excuse he's using for Wilshere that recent England performances by him have been good, last outing he had for England he was dreadful. I think Rooney has had a couple of okay games for Man Utd at CM, so if Hodgson absolutely has to play him (which he probably will) I'd prefer to see him there rather than take a place away from Vardy or Kane.
  21. That's probably not far off how it will go.
