Is that Mr Chuckles a toon fan on the wind up or an actual mackem? It's just stunning that 50 minutes after HF posted that article on The Mag the bloke has a thread about it on SMB, he must have either been refreshing the page or The Mag is one of the websites he loops through when he's on the internet.

Why do we need a 3rd kit btw? Is this just an every club thing now? How would it be possible to clash with a Black and White striped strip and a Navy and Mustard(-ish) horizontal stripe strip at the same time!

The buttons on the collars are a bit odd, now I'm seeing the proper strips rather than a computerized version it's not as bad and the away one is ok. Fine for Puma efforts tbh, again I wont be buying but at least we'll have some gold on the lads as they batter the Championship.

We didn't but it was a breeze, we ended up with over 100 points. Nothing is guaranteed but as PL says Rafa staying just about guarantees it, we'll have a Premier League level squad in what is a shit league.

Think it's going to end up being a fairly safe bet now Rafa has full control and a good budget. I see it's already at 4/5 at a lot of bookies that we'll be promoted, I can't blame them as I really think it's going to be pretty straightforward. With Rafa there we can basically win any transfer battle we get into with other Championship clubs as well as a fair few of the bottom feeders in the Prem (such as Fat Sam's Sunderland ) as if you're a lower Prem / Championship level player the chance to play for a Benitez calibre manager doesn't really come around very often (has it ever?).

So he'll basically go back to being a scout then, which he should have been all along tbf. I'm glad that Rafa is bringing in his own scouting team as well, it's about time the football side of things was controlled by a bloke that knows football rather than Lee Charnley.

Aye honestly I think the bloke just wanted to be at a club where he was appreciated and near his family, it's cracking that the lads give him the full support I think it really did make a difference in his decision.

Aye wont be long until they start groaning about the fact their only tactic is lumping it up to Defoe, especially if Defoe gets injured (which is probably pretty likely) and they're lumping it up to whoever the fuck their back up striker is (Danny Graham? )

Aye of course they did, as did the players must be sick to death of being the 'lesser' player when the Arsenal boys get into the nightclubs, a finish above Arsenal would have meant they were the big dogs in London for a season and all the fanny that comes with that.

He's another pundit that does nowt to dispel the notion that footballers are fucking morons. Who fucking cares if Rafa 'stalled' he's here why try and piss on that other than simply being a thick scouse cunt? For what it's worth I don't think he did, I think he was just standing his ground and making sure he got exactly what he was asking for before he committed. It seems staying near his family was of massive importance to him which has suited NUFC, cracking news. Oh aye and as PL says he was fucking shite himself, our club wouldn't have touched him with a bargepole.

They still had pressure on them, they wanted to finish 2nd but losing to us meant they came 3rd behind Arsenal. It was an impressive result scoring 5 past the best defence in the league, I know it runs against your argument but you can't dismiss it especially as like I say the game still held meaning for them.

Aye the Mackems bought a few defenders in January which definitely helped them retain the ball and be stronger at the back. While CT is being all selective about how Rafa sorted the defence which 'proves' we didn't need to focus on it, we also scored in all except 2 games under Rafa including putting 5 past the joint best defence in the league (comfortably the best until we put 5 past them). I'm not saying we didn't need forwards but we also needed midfielders as well, just the defence was a massive priority in January and one that went ignored, even after being one of the worst in the league last season we bought 1 defender, we were again among the worst this year and we didn't buy any in January.

:lol: Bit harsh Fish attacking Andrew out the blue, but he's right. Gpirlo is right in all, it's fair enough saying Rafa sorted the defence out but he had to play people out of position and hope they did a job, we also had to suffer abou 10 games with a make shift defence AND McClaren organizing it which is really what cost us, the fact Rafa some how had us still fighting so late on was astounding.

Absolutely fantastic news! Allowed myself to think it was a real possibility when Pako got the Valencia job full time but still over the moon with this. As others say this is the best thing to happen to NUFC in years, just hope he's here for a long time and doesn't end up walking out after being messed about.

Makes more sense now cheers Andrew, I'd rather have a year in the PL than two in the SPL but I suppose he's starting to worry about the end of his career and probably trying to guarantee as much money as possible now.

I reckon DK is going to get his Brienne wish soon with the way Tormund is looking at her. I hope the lass that had them oot from the play is in it a few more times, hell of a pair but it seemed like Arya might put paid to that the fucking psycho.
