Aye he was honestly one of the worst ones tbh, he went out his way to slate the fan base and not just ignorantly defend Ashley but tried to bend facts to make it look like Ashley was a good owner. A lot of the others just went a long and regurgitated shite because they’re lazy cunts obsessed with the same few sides, Neville and Carragher prime examples of that iyam, whereas Ferdinand had another agenda due to his tragic cheap tat he was selling through Ashley’s clothing land fills.

Aye I’m fairly sure there’s only been one time this season where a ref has been told to go to the sideline monitor and they’ve stuck with their original decision. There’s also so many borderline ones which are being reviewed yet ones that quite clearly were a foul go unreviewed, for just us alone I can think of the kicks to the head on Schar and Longstaff which we’re both ignored yet they spent 5 minutes reviewing Isak barely lifting his foot. The Wilson one is an absolute joke as well, I’ve still not seen a single angle where it looks like anything else but his shoulder and even if it did what advantage was gained? His arm was completely against his body and if it wasn’t there it was hitting his side, the review there has meant it was an impossibility for Wilson to avoid infringement there which is an absurd reading of the rules. I personally thought the officiating in our game was almost as bad as the Brighton game it’s just it ended up not costing us so it has been swept under the rug. That’s only the big decisions too, his general officiating was woeful, Hickey spent the whole game diving and got a free kick every time, meanwhile they kicked us when we received the ball at the half way line every single fucking time and it went ignored. It’s a good thing both our goals were as clean as possible as I’ve no doubt they’d have been overturned for fuck all (as the Wilson goal).

Honestly what’s the point the tin pot bastards? Maybe worry more that your club is headed for what? It’s seventh season outside the top flight? Well entrenched in mid table, so it’s probably not very likely they come up soon.

Villa are being mentioned recently as they’ve been on a bit of a new manager bounce type run, but when you look at who they’ve played it’s not a single decent side. They’ve basically beaten the relegation fighters, while good for them they’ve put this run together they’re still fucking turnips. Thought we were pretty poor today, but great job by the players sticking with it and pulling it off. Not a fucking clue what game that ref was watching mind, calling that a hand ball by Wilson was ridiculous really but thankfully it didn’t cost us today.

They’ve been correct about precisely fucking nothing so far, so I’m going to assume it’ll be the same this summer. We aren’t qualifying for the CL against all odds and signing Scott McTominay, he was likely a January target that’s firmly in the rear mirror now.

Premier League quality football equates to 1 win out of 5, 20 goals scored less than fucking Boro, and being mid table in the Championship? I think he needs to rethink what Premier League quality football is They don’t live in reality tbh, by their reckoning Burnley must be absolutely fucking amazing given how they’re hammering everyone in that division, in reality Burnley will come up next year and probably get humbled similar to Norwich did when they thought they’d come up and play possession based open football as a newly promoted side. There’s a fucking gulf in quality and they’re absolutely nowhere near Burnley and Boro, let alone Premier league sides.

I always thought it was weird that they had banners saying fuck the mackems all over the place. Saying that if I grew up in a place that resembled Mordor I’d be self loathing as well.

Newcastle United: Club Sold To PCP - Official
Howay replied to The Mighty Hog's topic in Newcastle Forum
The press are desperate like, the whole thing with the government was pretty widely discussed at the time. -
Sounds like an average Tuesday in Pennywell tbf. Couple of stray staffys milling about nearby and a bloke passed out on a nearby bench to really set the scene.
-
Making friends. Also, this E-Sunderland bloke smells a bit like a Walter Mitty? Isn’t tabbing and yomping the same thing but used by different parts of the forces? The mention of selection too…. I mean in general it’s a weird thing to bring up but that’s mackems.

Aye he’s incredible tbh, you’d never think in the lead up to this game we were the side who hadn’t been in this sort of position for donkeys years and they were the team that were used to it, Ten Hag looked like he was lashing out under pressure and losing his cool while Eddie didn’t rise to it, the tactics from both pointed to it as well tbh.

I love their new banter that the whole CL qualification thing, which was never going to happen a few weeks back, is only happening because we’re flukey. We’re headed for a similar points tally that top 4 always requires, and they’ll list who has been “horrendous” as if there’s not always some of the “big 6” having seasons like this every fucking season . Can’t wait until we fluke a league title win.

I just stared at the league table for a good 5 minutes tonight What the actual fuck man? We’re third, with two games in hand over one of our main rivals for a CL spot with 11 games to go. This is fucking mental, even just looking at 3 losses is mind blowing given we’d usually rack that up before September in recent years, it’s also the same as the team that are likely going to be champions. Only 19 goals conceded too, that’s 7 less than the closest which is fucking Manchester City. Then you look at the playing staff we’ve got into this position with and it shows what an absolutely stunning job Howe has done, of course all of the players deserve a fucking mountain of praise but the vast majority of them would barely have dreamed of a season like this let alone be living it. I know the media are biased as fuck but they really aren’t talking about this enough, we were fucking bottom with 0 wins 18 month ago .

Athleticism v technical ability - which is more important?
Howay replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
I always think people often fall into the trap of thinking it’s one or the other (not saying that’s you Gloom just in general), the reality is most top players do both, they have quality and are extremely hard working and strong. Grealish for example is an absolute work horse of a player but because of how he carry’s himself he can be seen as lazy or a flair player, Mahrez on their opposite flank is phenomenally hard working and is an absolutely incredible player. James Maddison works very hard, covers a ton of ground in games but it’s rarely mentioned, if you watch a Leicester game and notice how when they’re on the attack he’s constantly popping up in different areas left to right when he’s on the ball, harder to see this year because they’re so bad mind. Honestly that to me is where we see links like McTominay coming from, this view that Howe wants hard working players so that means a McTominay or a Longstaff, but look at Bruno Guimeraes - he easily matches the work rate of those players but also has immense ability on the ball. The difference for most teams is those Bruno type players are out of reach both budget and ambition wise. We will be in for the players who have both, Isak, Bruno etc types. -
I like how it’s “tin hat on” time to say a bloke who would be their joint top scorer, with the goals coming in a division higher, might be one he would consider having.
-
Aye, it just again shows how little they understand the quality gap - for example when Murphy last played in that league he got 9 goals from the wing, of course to them he’s shite but he’d comfortably be either their best or among their best.
-
Mid table championship side but at a push he’d only take 5 of the side that’s currently 3rd in the Premier League.
-
Just going off this: I’ve heard this “gardening leave” type of situation is more common in Europe. Maybe he’s wrong.

The press linking them to Nagelsmann now, apparently he’s still under contract at Bayern so they’d need to pay out his contract in order to get him . So in one season they might have paid out Tuchels contract, paid Brighton for Potter and then paid him a significant portion of his contract for 6 months, and then have to pay out Nagelsmanns contract . If people thought this Boehly and his team knew what they were doing surely that ruins that theory.
