  1. The lad who invented spaces after full stops MLF.
  2. I think it was aye, he's a MoTD type player to be fair so I guess for people that never watch us he must be canny.
  3. Aye I remember a game of ours recently where a commentator talked about how gutted the Newcastle fans will be when Sissoko leaves, he's integral to the squad apparently, commentators always have their fingers on the pulse.
  4. That's what will definitely put any potential buyer off imo, you have to buy the bloke in the hope that he might be up for it. Honestly though as I say even on his good days he'd not up to standard, he'd never get a game over the likes of Ozil, Sanchez, Cazorla, even Walcott, Chamberlain, and that Campbell lad are better. As you say his ability is purely based on the fact he's a good athlete, that's why he's at his level at a mid-table/relegation scrapping side, you can't be a CL level player if you're not also very good technically. I agree Diame is better, I think he'd struggle to get into a lot of PL sides as most (including us in all honesty) can't afford to carry him on the hope of seeing one good game once in a while and the teams that can have blokes that are either better technically or turn up more often.
  5. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/laughable-thinks-hes-good-enough-11438702#ICID=FB-Chron-main If anyone can be arsed watch the 50 second video on there, the Chronicle really is a fucking joke. Sissoko's career in numbers, I thought it would give something insightful like passing percentages, chances created etc. Instead it stated the date he arrived, the amount he arrived for, how many yellow and red cards he has, appearances and goals, a random "10m valuation" and the best bit: "6 games he captaioned NUFC" do they bother proofreading? A fucking fanzine would be embarrassed with this shite.
  6. Aye at least he knows he'd struggle, he only managed 1 decent game out of every 10 in the PL so maybe that would be 1 in 5 in the Championship. In truth it'd probably be more like 1 in every 20 simply because he definitely wouldn't be fucking arsed in the Championship. I honestly don't know who he thinks will want him the way he has played for the last 3-4 seasons, even on his good days it's completely clear what his limitations are as he completely spoons one on ones and any situation where he has time on the ball to think (or overthink as he does at times), he's also very limited technically as well.
  7. Thank fuck for that, he'll never be happy because he'll never play for the level of club he thinks he should be at.
  8. Suppose it depends how much he wants to be in London, personally I'd rather spend 1 year in the championship with NUFC than be stuck playing for Alan Pardew at a bampy shit hole like Palace. Again though he might really be desperate to be back in London.
  9. Was no doubt done in anticipation of the people lumping on after confirmation. 14/1 is excellent odds for something I think will be comfortable. Readings record is 114 or something right? I can see us being near that.
  10. Licence to print money that Ewerk. Must be a fair amount of money on us to come up mind since it's 10/11 for us not to be promoted!
  11. We'll walk it, 100+ points.
  12. Rumours now that PSG are offering the 20m or so required to trigger N'golo Kante's release clause, if that happens Mahrez surely wont be there much longer either.
  13. Aye hit double figures for Burnley in his first prem season and he's only 23, much better to spend that sort of money on a lad like him rather than McCormack.
  14. Aye 15m for a championship striker is fucking absurd. Especially at his age with no evidence he can do it in the PL, I'd far rather we looked elsewhere.
  15. It's definitely a risk in that how will he hold up in a physically demanding league but I think he'll do well for them especially since he's a free (although no doubt on exorbitant wages). One thing Mourinho is very good at is getting a lot out of aging players so I wouldn't be that surprised to see him get a canny few goals in his 1st season there at least.
  16. 38 goals in 31 league games is still impressive mind, even when taking the standard of the league into account.
  17. It would be canny funny if he did stay and became a massive club legend (although tbf he probably is already), then they went on to establish themselves as a PL power (I know) and all the posh hangers on to footy would have to sit in the Jamie Vardy lounge and there'd be a statue of him outside the ground. Biggest charva ever as a club legend?
  18. Aye despite his age he had an absolutely ridiculous goal scoring season last season, he'll be a very good focal point in their attack to have Martial and whoever else playing off him.
  19. I can't help but feel Vardy is a bit of a risk, he had a cracking season but it's about his only really good one at 29. I'm not saying he's not capable of scoring double figures again and being worth it because he really is a tidy finisher but I'd just worry about the possibility it was a purple patch in a team that was brimming with confidence. Saying all that 20m isn't a great deal of money for a player nowadays to the top sides and if he gets them 20+ goals as SEW says he'd be worth it, he's also very direct and aggressive in possession which is something Arsenal often lack.
  20. I agree but sadly see him jumping ship, I think Mahrez and Kante will leave at the first opportunity as well. The money will undoubtedly be better at Arsenal but it's also a status thing, their facilities will be nicer, transportation probably fancier, partying in London etc etc. Maybe he'll surprise the pessimists like me and Rayvin here but I see this as similar to when it was Monaco v Porto in the CL final with both squads getting pulled to bits after (particularly Porto). I think with this probably being his last contract it'll be hard for him to resist what will no doubt be over 100k a week.
  21. Aye I thought it was daylight robbery at the time, I think Villa profited from Man City's need for English players (as they did with Delph who is fucking crap). I agree he's a handy player at league level while not doing much and a useless international, I think he's a grafter and likes the physical battles in the league but suffers in Internationals where he's probably told to stick more rigidly to his position and you can't touch anyone without giving a foul away.
  22. He'll always be remembered for THAT goal against Cardiff and THAT celebration afterwards.
  23. I remember years ago when he moved to Villa I had an argument with a Boro fan about Milner, he was claiming Milner was rapid. I kept telling him I'd been a season ticket holder for Milner's whole career at NUFC and he'd regularly beat his man only to be caught up and have to beat him again before he could get his cross in, the lad was having none of it until Milner started getting England games and he was watching the bloke play from the side of a fan. I assume that's why we now have to suffer Milner as a central midfielder type? The bloke is clearly a hard worker and a good professional but he just doesn't do much.
  24. Is Mbemba being better than Kirchoff up for debate like? Kirchoff was so shambolic as a CB they moved him into midfield ffs.
