    £5.5m isn't a whole lot in the transfer market now, Jonjo Shelvey cost us £12m ffs. The lad is clearly a steady championship player and he's only 24, it's a fine bit of business and who knows he might make the step up to the PL he's still young enough to improve especially under a defensive manager like Rafa.

    He says he give it his all, that's basically the absolute maximum of his capabilities and he contributed next to nowt for all his huff and puff. I've seen nowt during his time at NUFC to say he's worth more than £10m, not that I'd accept that for him due to the market being canny mental and people actually thinking he's talented.

    That could work then. I'm not too fussed on losing Winny tbh, I think he'll do well at Liverpool as he'll be noticed less when he's not pulling his weight. He was a waste of a shirt for every away game and a fair amount of home ones for us, talented lad but I don't see how he would have improved at us unless we suddenly had a team of people willing to do all the work for him and retained the ball really well.

    Is Chalobah the lad that was pretty highly rated at Chelsea? He seems to have just been permanently on loan at championship sides.

    Flanagan is ok but we've just bought another RB which is his usual position isn't it? Unless he can play left back. Leiva would look very good in the championship but aye I can't see him wanting to drop unless he really likes Rafa (can't remember when Leiva joined Liverpool).

    Aye pre season means fuck all really but it is nicer for the lads to get big wins than last years utter fucking shambles. I'm more impressed by the youth team, I thought they were completely incapable of winning games.

    Aye Jagielka was better than him last season imo. Everton will be laughing with 54m for him, with Koeman rumoured to be in for Koulibaly and Witsel they'll be in a much better position if they manage to pull that off than keeping Stones. Is there any rumours about Janmaat leaving? Only about 3 weeks until we kick off the season and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of speculation about him, Essembee must be fuming.
