Aye I'd been put off by the last few super hero movies I'd seen and not enjoyed but as you say I'd seen reviews that said this one was good. There was just nowt interesting about it, even the fights were fucking shite, no peril at all as they all just felt invincible and I've no idea who I was supposed to be rooting for for the most part (I sided with Iron Man because I just cannot stand that Chris Evans). They must be laughing pumping out utter dross like this and making fortunes off the back of it.

Fucking class. I'm chuffed he beat Gatlin mind as I've always had very little time for that bloke. The mental thing about Bolt is it really is a question of whether or not he is going to be in form as he has multiple races under his rivals PB's (I think it's only really Blake who is fairly close with a 9.6ish pb), he's unstoppable really as he's 6'5" with the same leg turnover as his 5'10" rivals which is absurd the only way they can hope to get him is to get an incredible start but even then his closing speed is ridiculous as evidenced last night. Feel bad for the British lad Ujah mind as he ran the same 10.01 as the other lad in his semi final must have just been a few thousandths of a second behind so missed out on a final place.

Finally gave Captain America: Civil war a go, heap of shite. At least I know not to bother with any of these until the next Guardians of the Galaxy. There's so many of them now and they keep bringing up stuff that happened in films I've either long forgotten about or don't care enough to watch, it's getting to be a commitment to follow the conversations of a daft action movie. Speaking of their conversations there were fucking millions of them, Downey Jr being all moody and boring, Chris Evans still pretending to be an actor, a bunch of heroes no one gives a rip about, and Paul Rudd trying his best to entertain people. There's a bloke in it no one apart from the ropey Olsen sister can even harm, he spends most of his time floating about but it always fucks me off when there's just a bloke that is just so far ahead of everyone else which is exactly why I don't bother at all with Superman. Oh aye and possibly the worst bad guy I've ever seen in a superhero movie, a suitably dog shit ending to top it all off.

Aye, honestly if Riviere is nowt else but a target for Gayle or Perez to play off then he'd be doing a job for us. He was half decent in Ligue 1 wasn't he? surely he could fare ok against some of these League one standard defenders ffs, again if not how the fuck did we end up buying him. Dummett is an odd one, reminds me of Edgar and Huntington in a lot of ways in that you watch thinking he'd do fine a level down but then when they do drop a level they look out of their depth there in all. Again I've had my fill of watching him play for NUFC and he can gan whistle, we always seem to have at least one player that is utterly fucking depressing but at the moment we seem to have a ton of them.

The sad part is he is a canny passer of the ball and would probably fill the need we have in central midfield which we currently have Jonjo walking about in. Saivet was an utter joke of a signing, we bought one of the only players we could have that didn't improve on a CM of Colback and Anita. I said at the time that I always worry about forwards that become defensive midfielders, no idea why the fuck we bought him as we'd already made that mistake with Alan Smith. I'm still confused how we even signed him as it was pretty unanimous that people thought he was probably shit, astounding that people get paid money to scout players yet we end up with ones that even the fans don't rate and ends up being shit. What on earth is going on with Tiote? is he being a Sissoko or just unfit? He always seems to at least graft even though he clearly wants away which is more than can be said of Moussa however yet another defensive midfielder isn't really what we need right now even if he is probably the best one on the books.

I keep saying he must surely be ok at this level, I was wrong on our Paul but we may as well give it a go.

Saivet was an inspired signing. Iirc McClaren was all over taking credit for that one.

Forestieri is far too much like Perez and Gayle for me and probably not as good (as Perez especially). As DK says if we are looking for a striker it needs to be a Mitro big man type, there's a lad at Derby that would be canny imo or they could give Riviere one final shot but the fact is at the moment we lack a focal point and a lot of decent crosses are going to waste. Fully agree with DK on Anita and Dummett, we can't be wasting time playing them. Anita can do a job at right back but we have Janmaat and Gamez. I thought Dummett would look serviceable at this level but unfortunately he's proving to be shit in this division as well, this needs sorted asap if Clark isn't good enough to replace him (I know he's a CB but I know he played lb a fair bit for Villa) then that was a waste of a signing. I'd like to see us sign a left back, a central midfielder (we need someone that can consistently move the ball well), and a Mitro type striker at a minimum. I'd like to see a CB in all (which I know won't happen due to spunking 10m there) as Lascelles worries me, the lad looks like he's playing in roller skates. I'd also like to see us go to a 4-4-2 or something as iirc most the teams promoted in the last few year have played that formation, we are too deep with two deep CM's and we are already seeing a disconnect between them and the attack. I went for 3-0, I only really think this if Ritchie starts and if he does I could see him with 2 assists and a goal. Lascelles and his roller disco could fuck my guess up mind.

After I saw Pardew's Palace had lost at home to a truly shit West Brom I decided to pop over to a Palace forum (which looked like a forum from the late 90's, suits that fucking hovel of a club) to see how much they were absolutely loving 'pards' and his losing streaks. Only about 7 separate topics about sacking him they also are a bit miffed that he's touting Bolasie about and has been for the last 9 month of so, they're still calling us cunts and lowlifes but I guess that's just because they're too embarrassed to admit we were completely spot on and one of their shite clubs biggest heroes is a total fucking cunt and a joke.

So effectively playing 2 right backs? As well as 2 deep sitting CM's, at home to fucking Huddersfield.

We simply cant continue playing a DM on the right wing, if we're so thin that we have to play him if Ritchie is out (again I'd have played Perez there) then we have to buy a winger.

Aye we have no leadership on the field tbh, our captain is Lascelles ffs and he looks more anxious than anyone else out there. Last time we had Barton, Nolan, Harper etc you can't pick those players out in this side, Shelvey is a waste of space, our CB's are both 22 or so, Janmaat isn't a leader at all, etc. As HMHM put it aye it's early but the signs so far don't point to us coming up, we should have come out raring to go after a full pre-season with a good manager, instead they've come out looking shambolic at the back and completely clueless in attack.

Aye I don't think it's too mental to say, for nowt else it is needed to turn confidence around. They were saying we lost 4 in the last promotion season, if we lose 3 in 3 it's going to be a rough season tbh. Mitro is out 2 more games? I'd even consider giving Riviere a run out if he's fit as it's obvious we're missing a big man, Janmaat smacking 100 crosses in to 5'8" Gayle is painful.

He's already playing Anita way out of position though so making Gamez switch flanks is less of an ask imo, plus we could have played Perez over Anita if nowt else. They were dogshit picks and Rafa deserves criticism for it, as HF pointed out earlier Pardew and McClaren would have been slaughtered for this type of stuff. (btw I know that wasn't you saying that Wykikitoon)

Gamez not playing is bizarre imo, if he's not better than Dummett then why the fuck did we get him? and if he is (which he surely must be) then why isn't he playing? Taking Aarons off for Ritchie while keeping Anita on was baffling too. If Aarons isn't fit enough to play a full 90 with the amount of training/rehabbing etc he has had then I'll be shocked, even if he's not I'd have kept him on and subbed him later for Perez.

I just worry how incapable of passing the ball we seem to be, I understand the gelling part but they struggle to pass. I must admit Rafa has me a little worried with some of his choices so far as well, playing Anita on the wing is baffling especially when we have no real reason too. There were some excuses to be made about the Fulham game but today is shite tbh. Agree with the confidence part in all, we just seem to have picked up looking as toothless in attack as we were in the PL.

Extremely worrying this like, from the sounds of things we've had most of the ball yet have done absolutely fuck all with it meanwhile our shit opposition have scored twice with little of the ball.
