Aye I was disappointed to not see Mitro, especially as I think a major reason we were able to open QPR up so much is that we have Mitro soaking up a lot of defensive attention and we could play it longer at times confident that he would hold on to it and bring others in to the game, nothing sticks with Gayle as he's just a pure poacher. I think he's going to have to learn to be a bit more aggressive at home as sides will be happy to do just this.

About what was expected, bit of rotation among the forwards and he's kept the same two full backs that we've been winning with. Shame for the fans as we're wanting to get an idea of what Lazaar and Yedlin are like. The only real surprise for me is Mitro dropping to the bench, it's either a fitness thing or Rafa thinks Gayle can exploit Wolves better as Mitro did a canny job leading the line against QPR.

He has aye but he still makes hard work of some things, I'm being picky as far as this season goes but I still don't see him as a really viable PL keeper. Obviously I hope I'm wrong though. I think your point about his punching is probably right and it can be a bonus to our quick counter attacks in this division, I think it's more of a weakness in the PL where it's probably more likely to fall to an opposition player who has better positioning, again it may be irrelevant as he may well have improved (as Krul did last time we were down) or he might not even be 1st choice by then.

Sels is a bit of a flapper and doesn't seem to grab anything from what I've seen of him, I will be a lot more comfortable when we get Eliott back there. I suppose Sels is young so he has time to improve but I'm not all that convinced he'll be a PL keeper.

Agree, I think if/when we get promoted Rafa will make a fair amount of changes to the squad.

I think it's really hard to tell due to the standard of the opposition being far lower. I'd agree with others, putting the lower opposition aside, that Gouff, Shelvey and Lascelles look the most improved, especially Shelvey who is actually becoming pretty consistent now. I think Anita has always been somewhat useful at right back so I'd attribute his decent form to be more due to the drop in division and playing consistently at RB.
