I had to google that one, that's class.

That's just, like, your opinion man.

My comments about the fans being in a good mood are an assumption that they were asked to leave the plane for being drunk and rowdy but in a good mood rather than anything about them getting aggressive or nasty with the pilot/staff, it's only an assumption as I was not there, do you have any evidence they were aggressive or whatever it is you were asserting about them in your original post? Not sure how that is trivializing their actions, was anyone harmed before, during, or after their removal from the plane? What horrific issue on THAT easy jet flight am I trivializing exactly? The minutes silence incident is irrelevant to my point, no I didn't know Sunderland fans booed during a minutes silence for Charles in 2004. I don't doubt you on that, they're scum but at least make your assertions against them fair or you're simply making shit up about them like they tend to do about us. I can't say I'm a fan of drink driving but again I'm unsure what my opinion on drink driving has to do with Niall Quinn paying for 18 taxis, mackems booing a minutes silence for Mr Charles, or mackems being removed from a flight in 2007. And your views on brown sauce v tomato sauce on bacon sarnies are what exactly?

Ray Hudson is without doubt the worst commentator around, unfortunately over here he commentates on any Barca or Real Madrid game so they're basically unwatchable. A grown man saying stuff like "Messi is magisterial, he is the puppet master pulling on the strings of the Barcelona wondershow of Neymar and Suarez" it's cringeworthy as fuck. The man is a complete arsehole and just says ridiculous stuff because apparently some people think it's funny despite the fact that 90% of the things he attempts make no sense whatsoever, then if they start building a move or come close he starts fucking screaming and yelling, just shut the fuck up man. Pundits like him are a real issue imo, they're supposed to just be background to the game but instead they're trying to become personalities. Aye Alex, Savage saying "well you've never played the game professionally" is just arsehole behavior and proves what a mug the bloke is, if that is his argument then he should sit silently when anyone that was better than him speaks but that isn't the case. Mourinho and Wenger either didn't play or played at a very low level and I'd say they know far more about the game than Savage ever will. I think the major problem is they basically let any ex-pro have a go, so you end up with utter bores like Owen and utter morons like Savage. Occasionally of course you get decent stuff like Jenas, Carragher, Neville etc but the vast majority are going to be shit at it. How Adrian Chiles lasted so long is absolutely beyond me, is that useless prick still droning on about football? -
Is Wayne Rooney really in the England squad? I just assumed he wasn't on account of him having an absolutely shite season so far but then saw he was being interviewed during the press conference today.

Aye it makes no sense why Giggs is being touted as a PL level manager, the same talking heads were talking about how fucking dreadful Man Utd were the whole time he was an assistant manager there. I'm not saying that's down to him but it's the only evidence of him doing any coaching/managing. Bruce is a fucking bum, they're taking a gamble but I'd bet that Bob Bradley is on a heck of a less than Bruce would have demanded. Nice to see they do research as well (from a f365 article http://www.football365.com/news/mediawatch-justice-for-poor-ryan-giggs): “I’m with Chris on this one. Bob Bradley? What, Le Havre, I think they’ve got a game on Wednesday. I think they’re about 11th in Ligue 2.” They’re fifth, Robbie. Three points behind leaders Stade de Reims. “They missed out on promotion by one goal I think it was last year though, Robbie.” “Yeah, they missed out.” How on Earth does this bloke get paid to talk about football? He was a shite player and he's a shite pundit. Sutton goes on to liken Giggs to Guardiola ffs, despite the fact that Guardiola was managing a 2nd division side (Barca B ) which is far more responsibility than being an assistant manager. I also fucking hate this 'he knows the Premier League' bollocks, what a complete crock of shit that phrase is, it's as ridiculous as the ones that said Rafa doesn't know the Championship so we'd be better off with Pearson. -
Is he allowed out of the iron lung for that long?

It's not strictly true though is it? Some were chucked off THAT Easy jet flight but the flight was later cancelled and that is when Quinn paid for 18 taxis to get everyone home: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/wear/6517635.stm He claims the fans were in a good mood and I'm inclined to believe him since it was after a win, I've been on easy jet flights to Spanish islands where everyone is mortal and chanting etc so it sounds like the pilot was just in bad fettle. It's a nice gesture by the bloke ffs, if you're just going to try and make anything anyone to do with Sunderland does a bad thing then you're as bad as the people you're complaining about. This also happened in 2007 so I'm unclear of what this has to do with John Charles death in 2004.

I can't wait for them, driving is a right fucking chore and the amount of completely fucking useless drivers on the road make it a nightmare at times. It'll be class being able to know you can get to places in a certain length of time rather than now where you set off early and get stuck behind some shambles driving 15mph or get stuck in traffic because someone crashed.

Brett Emerton is still making his way to Newcastle I think. Didn't we faff about with Bony/think he wasn't worth it in similar fashion to Aubameyang?

They beat us before we really found our feet though, Rafa was still buying players etc. The Norwich win was fantastic imo, it's the first time we've come back from 2 goals down to win a game in god knows how long and showed that the team actually has some fight and a never give up sort of attitude, 8 months ago we'd have been dead and buried when the 3rd Norwich goal went in and would have went on to lose by more. I was pretty unhappy that we didn't win by more yesterday but games like that do happen now and again, we've played most of the best sides in the league and are sitting 3rd. I agree we can get a bit edgy and nervy when hanging on by a goal but it's definitely to a lesser degree than it was when Rafa first took over. -
I don't blame you at all for being worried about them, Leicester last season proved anything is possible and going from 19th to first in the Championship is a far lesser task. I'm doing the opposite and just trying to rationalize my desire to write them off, in reality they look like they will be a threat but I'm just hoping it'll be a threat to Play-off sides as opposed to automatic spots. I still think we're not seeing anywhere near the best our squad has to offer, we've played most of the better sides in the league already and we're 3rd, we have the deepest and most talented squad in the league (we have forwards that have barely played that would walk into every starting 11 in the league), and have the best manager by a country mile. I keep telling myself all of this but I still worry .

Aye he was the reserve manager for Dortmund while Klopp was there. Like I say I just don't see them keeping this up all season, they're only winning by a single goal margin everytime. It's also an extremely hard tactic physicality wise to keep up for a 46 game season, they could prove everyone wrong but I can't see it lasting them through the xmas period. They had a really good run shortly after he was appointed and they got used to his tactics but then there was a drop off in results after that, presumably they tired a bit from it. I'm probably a little more nervous about sides like Brighton who are always there or thereabouts, I'll worry about Huddersfield if they're top in January/February.

A win is a win but I hope we start stringing some convincing wins together sooner rather than later. Diame needs dropped for the next match, Atsu is yet another player that has come in and scored a goal whereas Diame is starting every game and all we end up hearing is about how he missed and should have done better with the chance. I don't know what the answer is but we've got Atsu, Mitro, Gayle, Gouffran, Perez, Diame, and Ritchie to pick from for those 4 forward positions and I think Diame should be bottom of that list rather than in the 4 that start. Huddersfield will drop off eventually, every game they've won has been by a 1 goal margin I can't see that being sustainable over 46 games. We'll beat Norwich again when we next play them and I think once we actually get out of second gear we'll win more games than them.
-
Is that not what toontastic really is though?
-
I can only assume Yedlin isn't fully fit as he's been one of our best players the last few games. Disappointing to see Diame starting yet again, really don't see what he brings to the side and to see him constantly starting weakens the rotation reasoning behind seeing players like Ritchie and Yedlin dropped to the bench.
-
That's most likely the case, even if it was Charnley I don't think we'd fuck up a transfer that badly.
-
Aye, I mean you could well be right I've barely seen much of us this season tbh, I've listened to most on the radio and you know how that is. I completely agree regarding Rafa, I question him in an ignorant football fan way but in reality I know that he knows best. I think it's a big difference to where I thought I knew better than pardew because now when I disagree I think hold on you don't know what your on about. I just worry that Diame hasn't found his feet yet and Mitro or Perez may fair better, I think Diame clearly has ability since he scored freely for Hull last season but for some reason he's missing the mark for us.

It really does show how fucking thick people that run football clubs often are, they had a written contract with Inter saying they'd buy him for 10.5m if they avoided relegation, they then avoided relegation activating that clause and they thought what? They could just not bother with it? It's fucking hilarious really, so they had a contract stipulation forcing them to pay for him, didn't bother signing him to any contract and never registered him which made him a free agent apparently , at the very fucking least just sign the cunt and mitigate your losses. I suppose it's good that it's not just us with total numpties like Charnley running things.

The comedian is called Bill Burr, iirc Gemmill likes him too and not just because he's of the same zero kids opinion as him. The joke starts along the lines of him impersonating a politician at a rally saying: "I will institute a policy that will eliminate 45 to 55% of you starting immediately, there is a short quiz under your seats to determine the first batch, if you don't have a pen or pencil with you you're already out!". Aye it is depressing stuff, people joke over here that a President doesn't want to make major moves in their first term as they want to win a second term, then once they get a second term their party doesn't want them to make any major moves as they want to have their next guy get in power, I think you do get some presidents that try and force their hand in their 2nd term but on the whole it rings true. Agree about a need for a shift into long term thinking but unfortunately a vast proportion of voters are thick. Imagine how upset people would be if you told them they could only have two kids, whether it's right or not wouldn't matter, then the oppositions bloke would simply waltz out and go "fuck that nob, vote for me and you can have 15 kids if you want" and they'd win in a landslide. Long term we're all completely fucked, I suppose the silver lining is we'll no doubt be long gone by the time the shit really hits the fan and we run out of food/water/space but it's going to be pretty fucking grim for our future generations.
