  1. I watched it today and I genuinely don't know why I bother, it's fucking shite tbh. Not only did they fuck up the end to last season by leaving it on a cliff hanger that just created indifference rather than suspense, they then spent 20 minutes of this episode fucking about with a gormless Rick before finally revealing what happened and at that point I didn't give a flying fuck. I was actually on the side of the bloke you were meant to be angry with and thought it was a bit funny, that's how detached from the characters I feel now. Last season for me if it's like basically all the previous ones in that the mid-season finale and season finale are the only 'exciting' episodes with about 10 episodes in between of people just dicking around having relationship problems.
  2. Preston reserves or not that was a fucking howking, they were barely in our half at any point. Some of their first teamers played as well so that'll have done their confidence the world of good. I hope we see a Gayle hat-trick and another high scoring win on Saturday. I'd actually like to see us get Hull in the next round, see how we stack up against one of the lower PL sides.
  3. Aye, too be fair it was a lot of their back ups but at the same time it was a mixed team for us as well. As you say hopefully that's them in a negative mood for Saturday and we give them another good hiding.
  4. If only he could hit the target inside the box the fucking loon.
  5. Did Preston even prepare for this? Their winger just tried to beat Yedlin with pace ffs. This lot are absolute shite, real confidence in the squad now and almost as importantly real competition for spots keeping people from getting complacent.

  7. :lol Missed a wide open net really, fucking hell that's what? 3 open nets he's missed this season?
  8. This squad is far too good for the shite in this division.

The main worry wouldn't be attracting that type of manager it would be Ashley's interest (or lack of) in employing them if we're a comfortable mid-table team. He might happily go back to a cheap manager again at that point, it's basically impossible to determine Ashley's intentions at this point really.
  10. Genuinely hope that's a pisstake because if it's in anyway serious or it's a mackem trying to be funny it's pathetic. It's also fucking hilarious when you think those two are probably two of the most notable mackems (even then Cram is from Jarrow which is 50/50 anyway), what a useless place.
  11. There aren't words to describe how desperately sad that book is.

Aye I don't blame you. I don't rate our defence at all for what it's worth, however I also don't rate the effectiveness of the oppositions strikers too highly. I'm more just trying to enjoy this season and look at it as a Manchester United fan would have looked at seasons in the late 90's and early 2000's, in that I just expect us to roll teams over and us to win the league. My prediction is of course hinged on us not having some horrific injury crisis, but even then it'd have to be fairly significant with the depth we have (and buying power in Jan). I jokingly have pops at Adios and Rayvin for their hesitation to get carried away but I fully understand it in all honesty as like you said before this is NUFC. I'm just enjoying going over the top a bit and I know me posting in such an arrogant fashion will rile up the mackems that are no doubt reading the forum.

They've got paper thin squads though, look at Huddersfields back ups and you're looking at League One quality players some of our back ups are better than their starters. Hudds have only won games by 1 goal and play an extremely aggressive pressing style, once the fixture pile up really starts to happen they'll drop off. It's always going to be hard to create any sort of big gap early on especially as squad depth hasn't become an issue yet. We've already played a lot of the better sides in the division and are already top, now we just have to keep howking the shite which is something Norwich, Huddersfield, Brighton and co have been tripping up over lately. In comparison McCarthy basically alluded to the fact Ipswich pretty much rolled over for us. I genuinely don't rate (and don't like) Norwich, so I'm always going to write them off as a contender for top spot over us. Aye we are Newcastle but we've got by far the best squad and manager in this division, we also have the most money available come January if we need anyone and are the biggest draw. I just cannot see teams like Huddersfield, whose fan base is over the fucking moon to be where they are atm, challenging us by they 30+ games played mark. The Premier League is a different story completely but in this division we really are that strong imo. If you're genuinely worried about Huddersfield and Brighton both finishing above us then fair enough but I'm not worried at all about that now that I've seen how professional and competently Rafa is going about this division.
  14. Aye I think that's fair, they put absolutely no pressure on the club for what was a totally dogshit season. It's something they always try to hold over us as well that they don't really try and force any action at their club but tbh it's probably, as you say, a fairly decent reason why they have been so absolutely shit for so long, why should the owner do anything if the fans aren't kicking up any fuss? They finished 1 point above a club that had a complete fucking meltdown during the season, lost some of their best players (who were on loan at them), and at that point they were still pleased with the direction of the club! They also genuinely rated Allardyce
  15. Exactly, it's utterly bizarre that they attribute blame for our relegation on Rafa after what? 10 games in charge? but absolve Allardyce of any blame on them surviving by 1 point despite 30 games in charge. He didn't do a good job at them at all, they were poor and it took us fucking imploding for them to survive by 1 point. I think it sums up their mentality that they want the crooked fucker back.
  16. I didn't even know he played for them either.
  17. Watching this Man City v Southampton game and the commentary is ridiculous, the commentators are so clearly desperate for Man City to come back and win it's not even funny. When Iheanacho leveled I thought the bloke had just spaffed in his pants, then afterwards talking about how that is just "what city are all about". Now anytime they come forward he's so excited and Silva just shot directly at the keeper "that is just David Silva", fuck off man.

Villa are shite, it's just new manager bounce. None of the other teams have any depth and we'll beat Norwich when we play them again. It's a race for 2nd really and quite honestly I hope it's not Norwich simply because some people (outside of NUFC fans I'm on about here, our lot are allowed to worry) had the utter fucking cheek of saying they had a better chance of going up than us.
  19. Hopefully this is the sort of attitude we start inspiring in most teams. Shows how dominant we are mind when there's not even excuses it's just sort of an "ah well we only play them twice, take it and move on" attitude.
  20. You can't expect McLaren to do us any favours. Still it's another 1 goal win for Hudds, unsustainable I tell thee.
  21. Why would an Arsenal fan want him banned? He's doing a cracking job by effectively keeping Spurs at 10 men anytime he sets foot on the pitch the big tart.
  22. Quality result, I expected the lads to put a hurting on these tractor loving bumpkins and that's what they did. The commentators seemed shocked that a defence that had so many clean sheets struggled against our forwards so much, it just shows how far and above this division our lot are talent wise tbh. Also fantastic that the web-toed specimens of Norwich have dropped off a bit today and the shambling hordes of SAFC have snatched a loss from the jaws of a mediocre draw, exactly what that shit show of a club deserves.
