 There's a bloke on Youtube blaming Bill Burr for Trump's win now man, I'm sure the bloke had no clue who Burr was until his recent stuff had trended. The Oliver thing was canny and he was funny as always but I think the piece Jonathan Pie did on it was more on target, there really wasn't a viable option from the left, people flat out don't like her. I said it earlier but Obama crushed her and he wasn't well known at all, Sanders almost beat her when the DNC had basically just decided she was the candidate and no one else bothered, those should have been stark warning signs but they weren't heeded.

Finally started watching Gomorrah, can already tell from the first episode it's going to be class. Pep Guardiola was quality in it btw.
-
He's fucking class like, I usually listen to his podcast when I'm driving. I'd recommend it to anyone but tbh he sometimes gets a bit too much into US sports which I'm sure a lot of you don't give a fuck about.
-
Aye I'd hope he would give Diame a chance to prove he has use there over just sticking Colback in, it more than likely will be Colback in there though.
-
 Aye that's it to a tee. He also got a lot of good press for being bi-partisan after Hurricane Sandy because he met with Obama when he visited NJ, I'm not sure what the other option would have been though. Ignoring Obama when he came to the state? He's also a Dallas Cowboys glory hunter as well which is a bit daft when you're Governor of a state with two NFL teams.

I really hope so, Trump is allegedly 'disgusted' with Christie letting 2 people take the fall for him as they face serious jail time. The thing is everyone knew Christie had a major hand in it and he was always going to let others take the fall so I really do think Trump just capitalized on Christie being the first major Republican to really come out in his favour. Hopefully that's the end of Christie politically. What a shit show he was, this is a bloke that slashed the education budget to pieces and then in his final year put the funding to the levels that they were before he came in and then added $1, he then ran for re-election saying he increased spending on education .
-
Apparently Chris Christie is being pushed out by Trump's son-in-law Kushner, which is good because Christie is a complete and utter fucking arsehole. Kushner is from NJ and they're saying he really dislikes Christie, and Trump really likes Kushner. There is also the small fact that Christie is possibly facing legal troubles due to the bridge scandal, the fat wanker, so it makes it easy for Trump to step away from him.

She has ran as a Republican trying to get into Senate in the past tbf, so who knows at the minute . NOT IN TRUMP'S AMERICA RAYVIN! She was also CEO of the WWE at some point, beautiful company. As HF said they were big contributors to the Trump campaign and Trump is a member of the WWE hall of fame after clothes lining Vince and shaving his head, this is politics now.
-
Apparently Linda McMahon is being considered for secretary of Commerce, aye it's the wife of Vince McMahon from WWE

Yeah I mean it can easily be a country of bubbles really, you can go most of your time without experiencing anything different to your norm (depending where you live of course, I think only the really really rich have that experience in places like NYC), I suppose that's like anywhere but it is probably more defined here, for instance we have friends that live in rural Pennsylvania and every time we go there we leave thinking there's absolutely no fucking way we could live out there and they're only about 2 hours from us. Lots of people like Mexico, I've never been, heard some horror stories about the water there mind.
-
Aye they're a world apart really, my wife has a friend that lives in Texas and her bloke has several automatic rifles in his truck, the laws like stand your ground etc are also pretty scary when you read them but none of that shit occurs anywhere near me. Of course there is still guns allowed but not to the extent of openly carrying rifles. Your second point is another contention a lot have with here tbh, there are very sharp changes in the quality of areas, like you can drive through a really nice town and then very shortly be in a hell hole of an area. Honestly though if you pick the area to live in right you don't see any of it. If you ever want to see the stark differences in society go to the bogs in New York Penn station on a weekday morning, you'll see investment bankers looking uncomfortable as complete lunatics are fighting with bathroom doors with bags filled with newspaper clippings.
-
Aye it's far better to avoid places where blokes like Mike Pence are from.
-
Aye the interior of the country can get a bit dicey but as you said with the gun thing not having too much impact on you since you'd be on the coast as a white bloke the most inconvenience you'd run into in the central states is conversations sometimes taking a sharp left turn. I think it would be a really tough choice with kids, I personally wouldn't let Trump's rise influence the decision too much unless of course you just don't want to be associated with the country because of it, places like California wont feel as nuts as other places due to him coming in tbh. It's a bit rough with your wife having to find another job, especially in FS which is one of those areas where the holidays over here really are shite.
-
 Maybe. It still doesn't explain the rock handy in the blokes car, unless the bloke is a rock collector in his free time and was on his way to show his mate one of the rocks he'd found but I think that's a stretch.
-
The holidays are definitely a downside, I get 14 days per year but that doesn't count the week off everyone at my company gets for Christmas and I'm very early in my career here (you also get all those holidays like Memorial day that are effectively bank holidays). Either way aye it's not great and the UK offices certainly get more time off. I'm quite fortunate that I live in a somewhat similar town to where I lived back home, there's nowhere near as many pubs for sure which is a miss but I can walk to the restaraunts/pubs/shops in town, however as I say I'm fortunate there are lots of towns around mine that you can't so you're not incorrect about that. You're definitely in the car more than in the UK, I don't mind driving personally but I know a lot of my mates would be sick to the back teeth of it. I'm only about a 35-40 minute train to NYC which is similar to what my metty trip to town was which I guess is a plus, I can't say I'd have ever pushed to move here if I didn't meet my wife as I was happy at home but I'm definitely happy here.
-
Upstate NY is dodgy tbh, it's another world really. Shame that these types think Trump's win gives them legitimacy but I'm sure it'll settle down, those people were there before this. I do think a lot of it is being blown out of hand and there is definitely some lying/embellishment, I read a story about a woman who was feeling victimized after being 'glared' at by a man when she was speaking Spanish on the phone, and then a lad who goes to a Uni in the Bronx said he was walking to get a slice of pizza when a bloke in a car drove past called him a 'faggot' and threw a rock at him, perhaps it happened but it seems a bit of a coincidence that a random bloke driving past knew he was gay and chose to insult him.

Fair enough, it's all personal preference at the end of the day. I personally don't fancy living in Canada or NZ and they both beat USA on that list, but some people love living in those places (as I'm sure Tooner and Kitman love where they live) and tbh I've never lived in either so I really don't know I've only visited Canada (liked it but would be too cold for me which is also my reason for not wanting to live in Boston which I thought was brilliant in the summer time) and I've never been to NZ as I assume it's a bit rural for me but I'm going soon so I might change my mind. I think overall anywhere in the developed western world is good to live in, it just then comes down to personal preference and even then anywhere is going to have downsides and upsides.
-
You'll not experience any of that really, most of that out and loud stuff is in the deep south and it was San Fran you were possibly going to wasn't it? California went Dem by over 60%, you'd love it man, you'll be wearing one of those Patagonia fleece vests over your shirt like the rest of the San Fran lot within a week of being there.
-
And pretend that he's ignoring his company that is in a 'blind trust' ran by his kids. I don't doubt Trump is a hard worker btw Parky, his win over Hillary proves that, he went into states like Wisconsin repeatedly despite his people telling him it was pointless because he was willing to graft, I just think he's i for a shock if he thinks he's going to be kicking back in Florida 3-4 days a week. I also appreciated HF's server joke on the last page btw, it very much deserved a . Apparently he has already weakened his stance on Obamacare after discussions with Obama and is willing to keep parts of it (according to NYT), I think this is a trend we'll see on a lot of issues as again I don't think he really believes what he said during the campaign.
-
Aye, I was saying to someone the other day look how much Obama has aged man and he's only 50 something now, this bloke is 70 already and looks a right state now what on earth is he going to look like in 4 years. Apparently his staffs jaws 'hit the floor' after their first round of briefings, as you say I don't think they had much clue of what they were walking into and his 'weekends at home' attitude is going to be in for a right shock.
-
He thinks he's going to be going to his house in Florida on weekend, it's not a fucking 9-5 five day a week job man.
-
Aye, the inclusion of West Ham as rivals is further example of the wannabe hooligans that they are, they're such a sad fucking club. I've went for a 3-0 win to the pussy grabbers, they're 6th in the table but we seem to be bursting a lot of teams recently and they're a few levels below us talent wise.
-
This, what complete fucking nonsense. Who said anything about wanting to be their rival? They've been a lower league non entity for about 10 years now, I should fucking hope we're not their rivals. They're one of those teams that don't really have a proper rival, similar to the Boro, so they just get angry at everyone. Very odd lot and a very overly aggressive response for someone not bothered about the game at all, I don't expect them to be bothered about the match anyway as they're Leeds fans, some of the most pathetic football fans around tbh.
