It’s actually fucking mad how much they complain about refs being against them considering they’re constantly benefitting from them. I’m pretty sure Liverpool have gained the most points from VAR decisions, many of them fucking outrageous - like Isak offside, and Nunez pen against Fulham. They also get an absurd amount of added time in games they’re trailing like the 8 minutes added on then played 11 minutes against us, an absolutely fucking absurd 21 additional minutes in their match yesterday.

Agreed that it’s a perspective/personal opinion thing. I’ve always saw the league title as the most impressive thing you can do in football, CL is at the end of it all a knock out competition albeit an extremely high level one. It’s why I’ll always rate a manager like Pep over Klopp, I find building a side that can be so fucking relentless over a league season to be far more impressive than a team geared to knock out tournaments. Man City have just had shite luck/short lapses in the CL which has cost them so there’s not a lot between them having 0 or 2 CL’s at this point imo (they fucking battered Real Madrid last season for example), that kind of thing doesn’t happen in leagues which I find is a far better way of rating sides.

I watched the second half and Sunderland were fucking wank, Luton carved through them at will but just have a bunch of forward players who can’t seem to kick a ball (the lad with the headband on the left wing was particularly bad), I couldn’t believe the empty net miss at the end . If the mackems watch that thinking they’re some brilliant free flowing side they’re even more fucking deluded than I thought.

Aye the way people have went on about him is weird, he’s managed 10, 12, 8, 6, 7 goals and 9, 8, 5, 3, 7 assists across his 5 seasons in the PL. He’s a brilliant player, I’d be buzzing to get him for our side as I think he would be a quality addition.
