  1. Aye it's canny, nowt special but it's entertaining.
  2. QPR beat Reading 1-0 so we keep our cushion.
  3. He'll probably get a loyalty bonus as well as I don't think he has formally requested a transfer.
  4. Hasn't Payet been a good player in the French leagues for years in all? Played for Lille and Marseilles before West Ham. I think it's probably a somewhat similar situation to Cabaye at us, he had a stand out season got interest but didn't get the big move he wanted so he's got unsettled.
  5. I'll have to check that out, cheers Tooj!
  6. I think it might actually be sadder that he is lying about having a dream like that than it would be if he actually did have a dream about NUFC.
  7. Aye it does seem odd, normally they'd stagger things like that. Looking forward to next weeks episode, they done a great job of setting the characters up as interesting so hopefully the writing is up to it.
  8. Big steps taken by the senate to repeal Obamacare, the pre-existing condition and adults staying on their parents coverage until 26 were gotten rid of last night. A bloke celebrating these repeals of 'Obamacare' has got attention because he claimed it wont bother him as he is covered under ACA, the thick twat didn't know that is Obamacare no doubt idiots like him voted for Donald.
  9. That does sound grim tbh, at least you are going into the decision with full knowledge of this mind.
  10. Wish we could get that sort of money for Colback in real life! Although with the fees some of these Championship sides are demanding for their fodder... I can't say I know much about the coaching side of the game as I generally try to fob that off on my assistant manager, I've never really bothered with it other than trying to sign as many highly rated coaches as I can.
  11. I think he's slightly more popular but it's mainly because he's a draw for a younger audience which networks always like, I still think it's only around 1m people per episode and is less than that Seth Myers bloke who is in the same slot on a different channel. I wouldn't say he's massive really, he gets good guests but I think that's because the networks push hard for these late night talk shows rather than him doing much. A lot of the interest in him came from those carpool karaoke things, he done a few with Justin Bieber which is obviously going to garner youtube views but I think that schtick has ran its course. He is a twat mind, so I always expect bellends like him to do well. The talk show hosts are interesting mind I'm always shocked people love Jimmy Fallon so much, the bloke can't get through any sort of skit without completely ruining it by laughing so much, he interviewed Bradley Cooper a year or so ago where they wore these stupid hats and Fallon was laughing for about 5 minutes straight the bloke literally couldn't do the interview and it got to the point the audience were clearly nervously laughing thinking when the fuck is he going to pack in laughing. Conan O'Brien is the best one out there imo but it starts so late through the week I never watch. The move sounds good mind Gloom, I think the homeless are a problem in general in California which is somewhat understandable as if I was homeless I'd prefer it to be somewhere that's warm pretty much year round. I understand your wife being a bit nervous of them but in general they don't seem to do much, the ones in New York Penn station are often yelling in the toilet cubicles, booting doors, etc but they don't seem to attack anyone or anything like that, can still be distressing to see mind.
  12. Aye the one flaw in previous games I noticed is your fan amount seemed to be capped at a point, I got Gateshead into the Prem once and was still struggling to sell out the International stadium. The board were stingy as hell with money as well iirc. Yeah getting through the lower league seasons takes forever with the amount of games.
  13. I have now. The fans boot off anytime I spend on a 5 star rated regen so I shudder to think of the reaction for signing some proper rubbish. Maybe if I get bored with this save I might do something like that, I think I only have down to league two loaded but I suppose I could add down to the conference or something to include them. Have you ever tried games that low? It's pretty good for a while actually and once you make it to League one the top sides are releasing youth players that can walk into your team and have potential to be lower Prem players.
  14. To be fair if the regens in the game didn't turn into world beaters after 1-2 seasons out on loan I wouldn't have been able to go so long making a profit on transfers every season. I think a lot of the top computer sides eventually run into the same thing, I had a game on fm15 with Southampton that I got into 2027 and then moved to Barcelona who had a transfer budget of 1.2bn I also made a massive profit on Dolberg this season, sold him for 39m after loaning him out each season after I bought him.
  15. Aye Kuki's clause makes him a target for me in any game I play in future now. It sounds like Newcastle get a canny transfer budget if you're getting Kuki and Lincoln, I'm always tempted to play as NUFC but the urge to do the old save before game, load game if you lose cheat is too tempting whenever I play as them . I finally lost Coric! Barcelona bid 100m for him so I just accepted, I've had bids lodged for a ton of my players and promptly rejected them and luckily no one is unsettled. I've got Gotze, Evander and a ton of class regens so I'll probably not touch my transfer budget (which is at 346m now), I've managed to hold onto Lozano and Goretzka after the title win but tbh the regens are snapping at Goretzka's heels so I'd have been okay with him going (Real Madrid were bidding, they'd just stuck Kovacic on the transfer list for 18m so he'd have been a good replacement if I wanted anyway).
  16. It's always a bad market since teams are reluctant to sell in this window. I think we're just being priced out everywhere we try, Championship sides asking 15m for players that we'd want to improve on when we go up anyway, then you have Conte refusing to loan out Loftus-Cheek and PL sides going for a lot of the fringe players we would probably be looking at. I think we'll probably get a loan or two late in the window.
  17. The first episode of that new Tom Hardy show Taboo aired over here last night (think it was on BBC one on Saturday night), really enjoyed it tbh. Setting up to be quite interesting as it's not giving much away about the main character.
  18. Aye he's been no problem for me aside from a couple of 2-3 week spells throughout each season, he has struggled to get on the pitch on prior FM's that I bought him mind. On the other hand Leon Bailey who the scouts didn't say was injury prone suffered 3 bad injuries through the season the last one putting him out for 7-8 months. I'm assuming Goretzka staying fit is just blind luck as this is the only game I've had on this version of FM.
  19. Aye, I was just asking if it was an open poll that they'd wrote an article about as per usual in addition to the ridiculousness of a bloke paid to write articles not knowing that 44% isn't a majority.
  20. Fair enough, I hadn't bothered clicking the link I just looked at HF's post. I put about as much research into my post as Ryder does for any of the bollocks he writes.
  21. Was it just an open Chronicle poll like usual? because it's worth noting the mackems regularly have threads about how they're all going to vote in them.
  22. The worst bit is that's why they recalled Nathan Ake back from his successful loan isn't it? Perhaps but they've got a massive quota of highly rated prospects they've been hoarding for years who could surely fill that role, fair enough it's their decision I'm just being bitter as I thought he could do a job for us and think it's a waste of time squandering a supposedly talented young English player.
  23. Very true, once the cries of corruption get too loud it'll be those same people carrying out the investigation as well.
