  1. I preferred Secret life of pets to Zootopia, I'm outraged now. Didn't see any of the others in that category. I've seen a patheticly low amount of films this year, normally I've seen most of the best film nominees but I've not even seen one this year. I blame the missus wanting to watch comedies or re-watching parks and rec, it's as outrageous as the Zootopia over Secret life of pets debacle (fwiw I enjoyed Zootopia as well), still haven't seen Whiplash ffs.
  2. This tbh, he'd be okay as a loan but I don't see much point in buying as he'd need replaced if we go up.
  3. A forward line of Keane and Defoe, the mackems love resurrecting strike partnerships about a decade past their prime as it was Cole and Yorke the last time ffs.
  4. Can't say I've been impressed anytime I've watched him play, he has played at full back on a few occasions mind so maybe we could pack in playing Paul. The Chronicle seem to think it's a loan deal being offered but he had played 18 times this season for Swansea so I don't see why they'd loan out a bloke playing that regularly.
  5. Class news, scary stuff for the family but it's great to see he's through the worst of it.
  6. I love that they lapped that comment up btw, what a bunch of whoppers.
  7. Aye there's no requirement to make them public for Privately held companies. Iirc he has been using an NOL from one of his companies in the 1990's against any income he has brought in for tax purposes, as NJS says it's all legal but it's a shady thing to do especially as he used it to claim Clinton should have closed the loophole (as if the reason he took it was merely to highlight the problem) but there are reasons it exists one of which is to encourage loss making companies to stay open in the hope they can use those losses and recognize more after tax profits in future years, which he no doubt knew he was just being a ball bag. I agree with ewerk that he's trying to conceal any clues to what he's really worth, he's not worth anywhere near what he says he is and is clearly leveraged up to his shite hair.
  8. It was similar to the season we came 5th, except better obviously. Mainly in that there were no bad injuries, a normally ropey bunch of defenders were brilliant, their goal scorer was in a mental purple patch and they had a central midfielder who was quality, their Ben Arfa was more consistent and everyone else was a little better but you could always see it was that type of one off season especially the way they scraped so many narrow wins 2nd half of the season. Not that many would have predicted this sort of drop off mind.
  9. I was saying to my lass that I guess Madonna has decided she's American again now. I was in and out the room while her speech was on but we turned it off when Madonna launched into a particularly ropey rendition of one of her songs.
  10. Aye, Huth and Morgan were absolutely solid ffs they never really had any bad injuries, all the commentators focused on heaping praise on the painfully average (if that) Danny Drinkwater while Kante was unbelievable (still is) and teams couldn't figure out how to stop Mahrez or Vardy.
  11. Madonna being investigated by the secret service apparently made some sort of threat about the White House in her speech the total fucking knacker.
  12. He is really fucking grim mind, but aye I suppose to some it's worth it. He regularly left her by herself and walked off ahead during the inauguration, there's a picture of him up a bunch of stairs being greeted by Barack and Michelle Obama and she is walking round the back of the car they'd just got out of trying to catch up . As you say though she probably lets all that slide because she lives a luxurious life in exchange for it.
  13. I remember him actually sitting up a bit then lying back down, his hand was sort of on his forehead and he looked in shock. They had an oxygen tank out there and were holding his head stable but he kept moving his arm and kept bending his knee (which they kept carefully straightening out as they were trying to get him on the stretcher). I'm not sure if he was ever fully out or just dazed, it looked awful either way and I hope what Hull are putting up is right and he's stable. The thing I found odd was while they were trying to get him on the stretcher (he was sort of about the pen spot area) there were about 4 Hull players knocking the ball about right at the edge of the area and one of them was stood directly in front of the medical staff, I know they are professionals and aren't likely to misplace a simple pass but I remember thinking at the time surely they could do that off to the side a bit.
  14. Fair one, like I say I didn't see it. I think the thing is anytime you go to make contact with the head you're putting the decision in the hands of the referee, I always hate to see it because it's just ridiculously stupid on the players behalf.
  15. I was watching that game and it looked bad at the time, it took them a good 10 minutes to move him from the pitch and the look on his face before the medical staff got to him was awful to watch.
  16. Watched 2 films last night. Fantastic beasts and where to find them was the first, I really liked it tbh, while it was pretty predictable it was interesting throughout. Then watched Masterminds, it's always hard to go into a movie you think is going to be a bit shit after watching a high budget one like Fantastic beasts. Despite that it was ok, I guess mainly as I didn't have high hopes for it, I thought Jason Sudeikis had a few funny moments and Galifianakis was funny enough throughout to make it enjoyable enough. Dan Bilzerian was randomly in it for 2 minutes if anyone knows who he is. We watched Galifianakis' other recent film the other week, Keeping up with the Joneses, and both movies were probably on par with each other tbh.
  17. Agreed, it's really hard to keep a squad because of that as they all just start moaning their tits off unless they get 15-20 games a season (and even then they'll be moaning if there are big gaps between the games). I've just been ignoring the messages about Ponchettino wanting to discuss the loan as it's after every fixture I have that he doesn't feature, but he's at 50% match fitness and the medical staff are saying don't play him for more than 45 mins, it'll probably end up with him being recalled unless he becomes fit enough to start soon. The worst is the low bids accepted by other computer teams as well, I saw Isco go for about 14m in season 2 to PSG, I've tried bidding for him in games before and they were demanding in excess of 40m despite him never featuring. That inconsistency is a pain, it also makes the game unfair and I end up having to buy up and comers rather than being able to assemble a team of present star names, another example on one of my games was Hazard to Man Utd in season 3, he went for about 28m ffs.
  18. Did they get into each other's faces and happen to touch heads? Or was there a deliberate forward movement by one of the players to hit the opponent with the head? I've not seen the incident but that is the sort of stuff refs look at, I know it is handbags etc but by the letter of the law a deliberate, forceful movement of your head to make contact will generally end in a sending off.
  19. Seeing a lot of posts on my Facebook on about people attacking Barron and how absurd it is to insult a child when you don't like their father, while I absolutely agree with it there has been an element that have referred to Malia and Sasha Obama using the n word for the last 8 years, attacked Malia for partying at Harvard etc. Of course it goes both ways and I'm sure some of those that have shown outrage about the abuse of the Obama children are happy abusing Barron, but it's just staggering that people can make these type of posts (which were aimed at 'liberals') after 8 years of probably the most vicious and vile abuse ever thrown at not only a president but a presidents children.
  20. "McCormack’s latest excuse was that he was unable to make training as the electric gates on his property would not open." That's fucking disgraceful mind.
  21. Pep will be going mental after this, Sterling through on goal and just as he's about to shoot Kyle Walker shoves him and puts him off, the ref doesn't give a pen and then Spurs go up the pitch and equalize .
  22. I just found out he's related to me (albeit not closely) so I fully retract my bit about him making a bad decision, he was class.
  23. Sounds good, it's mint having ample money sometimes on it. I started a new game with Newcastle, I loaned Kyle Walker-Peters from Spurs and he has started nearly every game for me until he broke his shoulder, after missing about a month he just returned from injury so I made him available for the U-23's to get match fit and didn't put him in the squad against Barnsley. After the match I have Pochettino moaning at me saying Walker-Peters isn't playing enough there's no option for me to say he has been injured for a month you daft bastard.
  24. Aye Murphy looks good at this level, he did show a surprising turn of pace at one point. Good performance by the side, think it shows just how vital the first goal is for us as it forces the opposition to open up and we often end up giving them a hiding. Yedlin and Ritchie were really impressive and could be forming a good partnership.
  25. He'll probably be listed on that physio room with a groin injury. Aye it's been a pretty fucking good season for us, Pardew sacked, Allardyce walking out on the mackems, losing the England job, and then possibly getting relegated, the mackems hopefully heading down, and us going up.
