  1. Aye Rafa threw the towel in today, the side was just a bunch of lads that had never played together some in unfamiliar positions. It sounded like there was no cohesion etc and without Shelvey, Ritchie, Gouff etc we had no talent
  2. We can definitively blame him now mind . I think it's like anything people expect more from him, no one rates Dummett so there's not much point slating him he just shouldn't be there. Mitro has had 4 scoring chances this game and he's missed them all, the side he is playing with is poor but they've got him 4 opportunities and it's frustrating to see him squander them.
  3. Oh they're doing crap but he has missed 3 chances and I expect more from him as I rate him. They've also set up 3 goal scoring chances for him. I wouldn't sub him off I'd just bring Jonjo on.
  4. For fuck sake man, zero concentration yet again. Get Shelvey on. Mitro is having a stinker by the sounds of things.
  5. I get that he had a bad game against Wolves but Anita is shit every time he plays and he keeps getting picked. Maybe there is something in the not settling in part. It just seems weird the lad really hasn't been getting a look in.
  6. Remarkably similar sized hands.
  7. Worth a go over Colback then surely. Yeah I don't mind Clark tbh, think he's a decent no-nonsense type of CB (questionable at PL level but maybe Rafa's coaching can help). Lascelles looks shaky and indecisive anytime the ball gets near our box, I just don't see what Mbemba has done that has him below even Hanley (maybe something in training? but surely we'd have heard).
  8. He was also widely mocked because he made no reference to Brexit for a decent length of time, when he did it was to say he was there in his capacity as a business man and not as presidential candidate.
  9. Could be a way to get Townsend in. I'm still not sure why Mbemba isn't getting a look in mind.
  10. Aye, he's absolutely guaranteed a PL club as well off the back of what he has managed to do in appalling Sunderland sides. Palace, West Ham, Watford, and a few of the other bottom half teams will no doubt be trying to get him in on a free (if the clause is true).
  11. I also find it ridiculous that he keeps hinting at the Democrats blocking him, or at least slowing things down, to the whooping and cheering of the (Republican) crowd. I assume it's completely lost on them that they've just got out of 6-8 years of blockading anything Obama wanted to do, arseholes.
  12. He does get the best deals though.
  13. I think he was aye, it was something along the lines that Milners sale was dependent on them bringing in Schweinstieger and/or Lennon iirc (or that after the sale KK was promised them) and then Milner got sold and KK wasn't allowed either of them which was the beginning of the end of his tenure.
  14. Aye, it's acceleration rather than holding your top end pace that matters more in football. It's a shame he never really got many chances at CM for us but I suppose we had decent CM's for a good portion of his time at Newcastle.
  15. That would definitely make more sense. I'm only going off an argument I had with a Boro supporter about Milners pace (no idea how we ended up on that topic ) where he just kept claiming Milner was some county sprint champion, I never really bothered checking as I'd seen Milner's lack of pace in person.
  16. Aye, I don't think he ever really had the pace to be a top winger. People always say he was a sprinter when he was younger to say he's quick, but I always thought he'd have to beat his man two or three times before he got his cross in for us (think he was one of them that really slowed down with the ball at his feet). Has a canny range of passing though which is what helped him as a CM. I think Milner gets a rough ride off people because he's an ugly cunt from Yorkshire and looks like a cartoon football player from the 1950's. He's more athletic than he looks and as others have said he has a very professional attitude. I didn't think he was class when he was at Newcastle but it's worth remembering he was only 23 or something when he left and he has definitely improved due to his hard work and the coaching he has received. He also doesn't hide which is always a plus and will put in a shift wherever he is asked to play.
  17. Aye, I'm going to have to pay more for avocados so he can build his stupid fucking wall. What is great about that? Cheaper guacamole would be great, not having to pay more for it. His hair absolutely does look like the lid of a bog in all . I feel bad now as I went round consoling people when he won telling them it wont be bad and that he doesn't actually give a shit about these things, spectacularly wrong on that one . It's going to be a rough four years y'know.
  18. I was just going to say is he still available, surprised Moyes didn't get him on the phone.
  19. Especially as Liam Ridgewell is probably the best defender in the league. How the fuck did Taylor not even manage to look okay. I think he scored an own goal or got sent off on his debut as well the fucking plank.
  20. The MLS is total dogshit, he's up against defenders that make less than some League two players (iirc a CB that he played on the same team as was getting the league minimum which is around $50k a year or something). He was also in one of the better sides in the League, he'd be lucky to get 3 touches per game at the mackems. I agree though as I think it's a massive ask to improve in this window with 14m. They've also lost their 2nd best goal scoring threat ( ).
