  1. Aye, playing Sels is completely pointless. The bloke is a shambles in goal, whether it's lack of ability or confidence (I don't think we've seen anything from him to say he is all that talented tbh) we don't need to risk it. We have Elliott who we know is better, and Darlow who has been far better and is of similar age. I get that we paid a fair whack for him but it's time to give up on him as we've seen nothing from him to think he's going to become better than Krul, Elliott or Darlow. I agree we're still perfectly on track for promotion. It's just frustrating to be dumped out a cup by lower league opposition.
  2. What bothers me is they're saying he has been our primary target. If that is the case why has it took 4 weeks to put in a bid for him? It does seem like a token bid like you have mentioned. 20m is a bloated fee but I'd rather spend 20m on a player like McCarthy than 15m on Scott Hogan tbf.
  3. Aye Leeds were hopeless, Sutton were the better side throughout.
  4. Aye, he has even said they'd now prioritize Christian refugees while blocking Muslim ones. Absolutely absurd. They are going through these people's phones and facebook accounts to search for political opinions, and allegedly asking what they think of Trump. People are writing this off as something employers do to potential applicants and aren't seeing any issue with it.
  5. That's what makes it all the more bizarre and concerning. It's from seven countries, and as Gloom says it has even included green card holders so it's completely fucking illegal. A federal judge has opposed it so I think it's now all pending again. It's something he has brought in to placate his racist following, that is what I find disturbing. It's not borne of any real (albeit racist and bizarre) hope to protect the country. Similar to the wall, it's a stunt. Very few illegal immigrants come into the country via running over the border, the vast majority come in on visas and just never leave. These orders are just hugely inconveniencing, racist, wastes of money.
  6. They have to sensationalize what Bannon has said because people aren't seeing what Trump and his lot are doing. What Bannon and co are doing is very insidious, they're trying to create serious doubts in peoples minds as to what the media are saying. That's why they're fighting every single thing, from the crowd sizes, to the stuff about the wall, to the size of his hands. If they can create mis-trust over something as trivial as crowd sizes when it comes time for them to pass some awful legislation they can discredit the medias coverage of it and claim it as over the top fear mongering from the fake news. You can blame the media for sensationalizing things, creating issues that Trumps lot are now using, etc but the point still stands that what Trump and that are trying to do is pretty fucking scary. The only way a lot of people take in information now is if it is given via an attention grabbing headline, something you can again blame media people for but it still doesn't make what they are saying untrue, they just may be stretching the impact. Aye the abortion funding issue has been changing in and out depending on the administration but it has been around 8-9 years since it was the way it was now, a lot has changed and you would have hoped people would have advanced, you'd hope in 2017 we'd not be fighting over something like that. That is why they bring it up, it's backwards and shouldn't be an issue in 2017 but a bloke has been brought in with this backwards looking outlook and while he said all of this when he was surging to power they still need to make points of everything he does.
  7. That's a shame. McCarthy and Shelvey would have been a good CM pairing.
  8. I genuinely don't understand why he is still getting games. Would have been far better off giving Elliott game time.
  9. We'll get promotion, it's just a bit worrying how little there is once you take out Shelvey, Ritchie, Yedlin and Gouff.
  10. Aye Rafa threw the towel in today, the side was just a bunch of lads that had never played together some in unfamiliar positions. It sounded like there was no cohesion etc and without Shelvey, Ritchie, Gouff etc we had no talent
  11. We can definitively blame him now mind . I think it's like anything people expect more from him, no one rates Dummett so there's not much point slating him he just shouldn't be there. Mitro has had 4 scoring chances this game and he's missed them all, the side he is playing with is poor but they've got him 4 opportunities and it's frustrating to see him squander them.
  12. Oh they're doing crap but he has missed 3 chances and I expect more from him as I rate him. They've also set up 3 goal scoring chances for him. I wouldn't sub him off I'd just bring Jonjo on.
  13. For fuck sake man, zero concentration yet again. Get Shelvey on. Mitro is having a stinker by the sounds of things.
  14. I get that he had a bad game against Wolves but Anita is shit every time he plays and he keeps getting picked. Maybe there is something in the not settling in part. It just seems weird the lad really hasn't been getting a look in.
  15. Remarkably similar sized hands.
  16. Worth a go over Colback then surely. Yeah I don't mind Clark tbh, think he's a decent no-nonsense type of CB (questionable at PL level but maybe Rafa's coaching can help). Lascelles looks shaky and indecisive anytime the ball gets near our box, I just don't see what Mbemba has done that has him below even Hanley (maybe something in training? but surely we'd have heard).
  17. He was also widely mocked because he made no reference to Brexit for a decent length of time, when he did it was to say he was there in his capacity as a business man and not as presidential candidate.
  18. Could be a way to get Townsend in. I'm still not sure why Mbemba isn't getting a look in mind.
  19. Aye, he's absolutely guaranteed a PL club as well off the back of what he has managed to do in appalling Sunderland sides. Palace, West Ham, Watford, and a few of the other bottom half teams will no doubt be trying to get him in on a free (if the clause is true).
