  1. Christ man the level of obsession from them. I expect a "hope Villa beat the mags" type thing but to actually be looking into the table, upcoming fixtures, the form of nearby teams in the lower division (that they DO NOT CARE ABOUT as it's the 'lower leagues') is fucking sad. How many threads are they going to make along those lines? It was Derby that were going to send us crashing down the league recently that was going to be hilarious, that worked out really well... They are acting like 5 points is really close, that means they need to win 2 more than us and for us to lose 2 more than them over the remainder of the season, is it possible? of course it is but it's also predicated on nobody else slipping up either. I'm not saying 5 points is massive but it's not exactly a razor thin margin ffs. It could be an 8 point gap by Monday night, they've also just got themselves another game after forcing a replay in the cup with their thin squad. They should worry far more about their own situation ffs rather than looking at the outside possibility of us missing out on promotion.
  2. Spot on, I remember a lot at the time definitely having similar sentiments. There was of course the abusive section but every fanbase has that ffs, sections of Man Utd's support will have given Ferguson grief over the years it doesn't mean Man Yoo fans can't hold him up as a club legend. Iirc a lot of people were frustrated with the disrespect Robson was being shown by sections of the playing staff and were questioning if he was up to dealing with it or if it was time for him to move upstairs to a DoF type role, the fact they sacked him and brought in Souness wasn't something the fans were demanding. Aye it's hilarious for people looking at where we are now and thinking the fan base was demanding too much then but we'd been flirting with the CL on and off for a considerable period of time at that point, and hindsight is always 20/20. He's a true club legend and was always well loved by the majority of the fan base, did some let their frustration turn a bit nasty? I'm sure it did, just like every manager on the planet has faced at one time or another but it definitely wasn't the majority. Again I've no knowledge or recollection of him being spat on by the fanbase during his tenure, I was always told he had bovril hoyed off him when he was England manager and had dropped Keegan but that was before my time. Not like the mackems to be completely wrong mind.
  3. Honestly man it's fucking absurd the way they go on. Sir Bobby comes up a couple of times a year and without fail they crawl out their holes to scream hypocrisy, it's honestly like saying someone cannot show any sadness their father died because that person once was nasty to him. It speaks to the level of them lot that they wont just let NUFC fans show respect to a club legend.
  4. I suppose they're just going to carry on doing stuff like that every time Sir Bobby comes up. I love when they start a thread like that acting as if it's all brand new information to them btw . "So it seems like the mags love Sir Bobby Robson, but didn't some of them give him abuse decades before he was managing them? Then some parts of the fan base gave him abuse and wanted him out? This is all brand new information to me and I'm sure it's never been used to point score ever before", another classy thing for them to point score over of course. Going by that sort of logic there can never be a complaint by any fan of Sunderland "football" club about a nonce because sections of their fan base gave strong vocal backing to a full on nonce. Oh and also I thought we were pretty clearly told at the end of last season that they'd never discuss NUFC since we weren't in the Premier League. Seems they're still talking about every little thing concerning Newcastle. If fans of a club wanting to pay any sort of tribute to a club legend is something that riles them up they really need to take stock of their lives.
  5. It is aye, you can guarantee if there was an injury crisis at the club where he'd be our only hope that would be the time he'd be injured.
  6. wish he'd stick to singing.
  7. Is Colback ever injured? It always seems like players like him are bulletproof.
  8. I'm just glad we now have a reason why Colback has been starting recently, rather than just being worried about Rafa's eyesight.
  9. Anita is complete dog shit in all mind, maybe he doesn't make as many mistakes (mainly fouls) as Colback. It has honestly been so long since I've had the misfortune of seeing Anita play CM that I can't remember him being much more use than Colback there. I'd like Rafa to try a few options instead of just going for Colback but I reckon he'll just put fire crotch in there.
  10. Aye pretty much having a pop at him, calling him a rat bag, I guess he seems to think there was some deal in place for them to sign some South American player that Clark cancelled and went for loans instead which seemed to really vex that bloke. They avoided relegation under him and are sat in 6th place so it can't be because of pressure. This is the quotes from Clark on BBC: "The directors have given me their full support in rebuilding the squad and the fans will always have a special place in my heart, but I still have huge ambition to one day manage at the highest level in England, which is obviously the Premier League. "I feel that the fresh challenge of managing a club in England's League One could provide me with the platform to build towards this goal." So aye seems like the lad in the video is fuming because he's effectively said Bury is a better platform for his managerial talents than Kilmarnock .
  11. He is really proving unfit for the role mind, not that that makes it easy to get him out but surely even people that voted for him must be cottoning on that he's not up to it. His speeches are utter blithering nonsense, half of them sound like complete conspiracy nut shite. I saw a video of part of today's where a bloke pulled him up on his constant claim that it's the biggest winning electoral college margin since Reagan (has there ever been a president that has banged on about winning it this much?). The lad said Obama won by more, so Trump said that he meant Republican, the bloke again corrected him and said George H.W. Bush had a bigger margin, so Trump just went on about how it's just what his staff had told him and he'd heard it around. He looked like a complete fucking joke as he stuttered and stumbled around trying to think up an excuse, ending up with effectively saying he just goes along with whatever he's shown.
  12. I love that it starts off very condescending, as if he's talking to complete morons, then it quickly trails off as he realizes he has no idea what he's talking about. The fucking clip of the mans suits as well for fuck sake.
  13. I wish the video had continued and we could have watched him and his neighbour kick the hell out of each other. Must be fucking shite watching your clubs manager leave his job in the top division for a 3rd division side. He's taking it well mind.
  14. Aye I mean there's always a worry they could simply keep the run going. I think even if they did we could beat out the others mind. I was surprised at everyones form over the last 10 games tbh, I do think everyone has been going through a run of good form whereas many have pointed to us going through a rougher patch recently so it's good that despite that we're still top and 5 points (effectively 6 because of the GD) clear of 3rd. After we kick the fucking Beige out of Villa on Monday we'll all feel a lot better.
  15. Over the last 10 games us, Brighton, and Reading all have 2 losses, 2 draws and 6 wins. Leeds have 3 losses, 1 draw and 6 wins out of 10. Huddersfield have the best form with 1 loss, 1 draw and 8 wins. I said elsewhere that Huddersfield seem to be a very streaky side under Wagner, they were a few points ahead of us, then miles behind, and now they're 3rd again. I think we're coming out of a tricky period, you have to wonder if the chasing sides were without their most important players (like Knockaert being out for 5 games) would they have matched this pace? We're coming back to full strength and honestly I think we've had our best games against the better sides this season for the most part. Of course this is a rough run of games but it also means that these teams have to play us, it's obviously a time for them to gain points on us but they've all had slip ups recently. I think we'll still be in the automatic spots after this run.
  16. Aye, I'd love to see Atsu start. The game time he has had since coming back he has been a bright spark and really trying to get involved, I'd also like to see us go a bit more attacking at home which I think Atsu helps provide over Gouffran.
  17. Why would you pay a referee a load of money? It's not like people are going to tune in to watch a referees performance ffs. Good luck to Clattenburg for making what is no doubt a shit load of money off a group of divvies.
  18. Really hope we hammer these because they're a bunch of total cunts. I think we'll see a bit of a response from the players after a couple of individual errors let us down last time (in a game we played well in), I can see Gayle starting and being up for it after a few weeks out. We've been playing well recently but haven't been getting the rub of the green at times or have been let down by poor finishing/individual errors (despite both our form isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination), now we're finally getting back to full strength so hopefully we'll give someone a good kicking to start what is a tough run, it's just an added bonus that the team that hopefully receives that kicking is Beige Villa. I hope it's 6-0 and Paul Merson has to watch the whole thing. I've went with 3-0 but that's more hopeful than owt else as I think form isn't all that helpful when looking at our opposition as we've seen sides clearly try and step up against us, much like the utter bamps from down the road over the last few seasons. I think if we can get an early goal we'll be on for giving them a hiding but I think we'll see what we've seen from most of the rabble in this league (chuffed Villa definitely come under that description) and they'll be sitting deep trying to catch us on the break. I reckon Jamaal will have a good game, he surprised me against Norwich as imo he has often carried on having a bit of a mare after an error but he seemed to step up and have a good game even rescuing a point so hopefully that boosted his confidence going into this one. Oh aye and I fucking pray we don't see Colback start, I know he got an assist but howay we've had enough of him man.
  19. Doesn't his contract run out at the end of the season?
  20. Spot on, I remember seeing bits of that column and he was constantly name dropping. The weirdest parts I remember were he'd even include bits where people were effectively calling him a dickhead to his face, he was generally excited that these people knew who he was rather than taking any offence to the fact they thought he was an arsehole. Very odd bloke. I've no idea how he has even managed to get himself on television in the USA, he even had a program at one point and despite that being a massive failure he still gets on plenty of stuff.
  21. Aye that bit was spot on, iirc that got under Morgan's skin and was when he started to say you're being ridiculous and have lost the audience.
  22. Honestly no idea how the bloke still gets time on TV. He's the same as that Kate Hopkins trainwreck, just comes out with ridiculous shite and people scream at them. I saw someone trying to use Jim Jeffries telling him to fuck off as proof of why the left is losing because they're not debating the points people are making, but honestly that was all the discussion the point Morgan was making deserved as he was being completely fucking ridiculous. I try my best to completely avoid any news about him and don't get riled up when I see it as honestly he's just trying to be contrary and frustrating to people to get air time. He reminds me of Jamm from Parks and rec when he says he doesn't like Morgan Freeman's voice as he finds it grating , it wouldn't shock me to see Piers Morgan tweet something like that if Freeman made a political point at some event and there'd be a massive reaction to it no doubt.
