I stand corrected then, I guess the bouncing trend has spread.
-
"Caaaaaaaam owwwwwnnn then yaaa faaaaccckin slaaaaaaayg" as he's bouncing his way to the taxi rank. I've never understood when people go in like that if they've no intention of physical confrontation, the "hold me back, hold me back" types that were in that video were hilarious tbh (those two women each took it in turn to be the one being held back and the one doing the holding). I fucking hate fighting and avoid it like the plague but I also don't fucking bop about getting into peoples faces as if I'm going to do something, so those that do have always looks like twats to me. I also enjoyed how they were all fucking silent when the policeman got on .

What a shambles I like the bloke bouncing about at the end, is that just a London thing? I've never really seen lads that are starting a fight do it up North, Danny Dyer esque tbh.
-
It's canny funny the Leicester players all coming out with "we wanted to prove a point to our critics" type of stuff, if anything they've sort of made the point for the critics who said they weren't performing for Ranieri. I'm also glad Liverpool are all over the shop, hopefully they keep pressuring Klopp and force him out as he could be (and hopefully will be) the last good thing to happen to them for a long time, horrible fucking club.

Agreed, I was really disappointed to hear booing at the half. I think a more experienced side could shrug it off and get on with the task but we've got a young group and there's clearly some mental fragility among them confidence wise. The old "I've paid my money so can have my say" argument while valid doesn't really help anything, we all want the side up and they're managing that so far but the weaker home form compared to the away form says something about the support at the moment. I think a lot of people attending are expecting us to win every match 3-0 and when they see us struggling quickly get frustrated, like you and others have said this type of short term thinking is prevalent all over in football now. I can moan like a dickhead on here about Colback but if I was at the match I wouldn't be getting on his back as honestly it doesn't help anything.

Aye I've only seen one replay of the error at the weekend. I think he has been getting really nervous about the backline in recent weeks which has led to him coming off his line very quickly and into areas he should very rarely be in. I'm still going to put a lot of the blame on Dummett shout or not as he shouldn't be reaching like that for the ball, if he'd just let it go it was going to go out of play. I agree with DK that if Darlow carries on making errors his position needs to be reconsidered but I'm seeing a lot of people getting on the lads back for a small amount of mistakes when we have people in the side that have made clangers in nearly every game they play.

That's a big assumption though and it's fairly harsh to criticize him on such. Like a better goalkeeper may have stopped some of Gayle's less well struck efforts, which would have meant we may not have won certain games but I wouldn't look back and say "aye he scored but it was poorly struck, a better goalkeeper would have saved that and it would have punished us he really should do better".
-
I don't think it's fair to include that one as he pulled off a pretty incredible save after it while in the process of being completely wiped out by Clark. So while it was an error he also saved the situation, not only by putting his hand in the way stopping the player rushing onto the ball from running off with it but then saving the follow up shot.

I agree. The Norwich one was a terrible reading of the flight of the ball, if it happened to a striker there'd be audible frustration from the crowd but it wouldn't go much further as there's no real cost to it, unfortunately for keepers a slip up generally means a conceded goal. Bad error but not indicative of him on the balance of his performances. The error in the Bristol game was coming out too far, it was a misjudgment on his part but the thing that's shite for him is it would never have been a problem if Dummett hadn't made the ridiculous decision to over-extend himself to try and get a head on the ball. I think he deserves some of the blame as if he'd been placed better it wouldn't have been an issue but that would be him fixing Dummetts bad decision, so I still think Dummett deserves the bigger share for that. People latch on to goalie errors, I saw on some Facebook blog a bloke saying Sels deserves a go over Darlow again. Apparently we were overly harsh on Sels (meaning the general fan base not the idiots abusing him on Twitter here btw) errors and are forgiving of Darlow's, I think that is utter bollocks, Sels hasn't shown anything to me that he's up to the standard of playing in this league whereas Darlow has put in a number of really good performances. A lot of Sels errors weren't simple lapses in judgement, they were things he's going to do time and time again because he was trained to punch everything, the issue being he frequently punched the ball right into the path of oncoming attackers. Darlow's errors have been misjudgments and he hadn't really shown them prior to this little shake in confidence. As you said earlier I'd be far more likely to change the defence up a bit before I thought about dropping Darlow.

I think we'll get a narrow win. We're very strong away from home, the players will be up for it, and I back Rafa to have sussed them out. We'll probably do it in typical fashion of recent weeks and spend the last 8-10 minutes defending a 1 goal lead .
-
Lascelles is an odd prospect imo, he seems to have all the necessary stuff to be a good centre half. He's big, strong, fairly quick, athletic, can pass, etc but he really seems to come unstuck under pressure which is obviously a massive issue. Whenever the opposition are in the area he seems to be in panic mode more often than not and at times looks unsure of what to do. Obviously he's still a young lad so can improve a lot but I agree it's time to give someone else a go alongside Clark for a bit.
-
It's a good way to turn the playing staff against the crowd which obviously makes for a lovely toxic environment. I get that people are frustrated by being 2 goals down at home to one of the lower sides but booing in that situation is just fickle as fuck.
-
I thought I heard booing at half time, fucking ridiculous.
-
Aye ridiculous display by Kane, hell of a player, just an all round quality striker. The technique on his second goal man, he made it look like it was piss easy.
-
There's that too aye.

Hard to say who I would prefer to see win the League cup, Man Utd are Man Utd so fuck them but if Southampton win it it's another team that's won silverware recently while we still wait and I never really enjoy seeing that.
-
I'm with Billy, I'd really love to see us win the league. I know it has the same end result as 2nd but I'd still be chuffed with a League title. I also get that a lot of people aren't arsed about it as like I say it really means the same thing, also as Renton said if we come 2nd it may get Ashley's back up and he might allow a bigger spend. If Brighton (Hudds also could btw, not writing them off) beat us to 1st then I'll be thoroughly impressed by Hughton (I'm impressed so far tbf) and think it would be a far better achievement than his title win with us. As I said earlier both Wagner, Hughton, and their players deserve a heap of praise as it's mental that we are seeing 3 teams this tight on such high points tallys. Obviously Rafa deserves plaudits too, he's doing a great job managing us through what Villa and Norwich have shown can be a really tricky season.
-
Agreed, Huddersfield have only got this close on the back of a mental run of wins which is unsustainable tbh. Any drop off that form with us maintaining our form (which has been fairly consistent through the season) and we're pulling away from them again. Agree about Perez and Mitro, I'd like to see more of the match but anytime the ball fell to Perez the move seemed to break down. Maybe Diame would be better but as I've said he's not exactly shone much himself.
-
Nah you're not being a big girls blouse you're just being too negative imo, it's pointless worrying about things to this amount until it's out of our hands. Currently it's very much in our hands, even if we lose to Brighton and Hudds win their fixture we're still 2 points clear and that's pretty much worst case scenario. So we'd still be playing Hudds ahead of them. We really are pissing it tbh, iirc we have more points than we did last time at this stage in the season (or we did sometime in the last 2 games) it's just Brighton and Huddersfield are also pissing the league which is rare. If we do lose the next two and Huddersfield win their next two then we can start to worry as it's then out of our hands but even then we'd have 11 games to make up a 1 point difference with a far superior GD. We're not going to look stunning in many games tbh, we're a pragmatic side. Teams are more open against Brighton and Huddersfield than they are against us where they favour sitting deep and trying to play on the counter. This gives their flair players more space to operate and more chances of getting man advantages in attacking phases. I'm confident we'll get a result against Brighton as I think they'll come at us, we beat them last time we played where they looked fucking shite.
-
Where did I say I was happy about the result? I said I was glad they come back from 2 goals down at half time to earn a point in a game everyone had wrote us out of getting anything from. We're the same amount of points clear of Huddersfield as we were before the game, a game in which we played poorly on the day and Huddersfield were seemingly having a good game in their fixture. Aye we've not looked great recently but we're still staying ahead of the chasing pack. Brighton have played well today but there have been plenty games recently where they've looked worse than we have today, and worse than we have recently. That's what happens, teams have bad games. It's no good to worry about playing like we did today for the next 3 games, what happens if we play brilliantly in the next 3 fixtures? It's just as likely to happen imo, we're top 2 for a reason man.
-
Aye the goals we conceded were fucking comical. The first was utter shite marking and I've no idea whatsoever what Dummett was doing reaching for that ball like he did. If he had just let it go and ran after it he'd have been okay, Darlow was also being a nob that far out as if he was a bit closer to goal it wouldn't have been an issue. Again shit communication and stupid mistakes at the back.
-
Aye howay Troops, we can't really view it as 2 points dropped as we were never in the lead. Huddersfield dropped 2 points and we snatched a point in a game we were struggling in. It's easy to look at a game against 21st in the league at home and expect to win but there's nowt guaranteed, if it was we'd have won basically every game this season on paper. The important part is we're currently top and still 5 points clear of 3rd after a poor game by us. The team done well to come back and I'm actually chuffed they did because we've not seen that from them really this season. Well we're 2nd now but we finally play these seaside tramps on Tuesday.
