  1. Agree with all of that including the state of Lansbury's hair, it made the Villa game extra sweet when watching it bounce back off him for an own goal. I think the thing is despite our excellent away form we're always going to be a bit cautious, the money is on us winning but we'd not be overly upset with a draw as it helps accomplish the job. Of course I really want us to win and go on to win the title, both things I reckon we will do.
  2. Aye, miles away this one. We'll have won the league by then lads and this will be a piss-up in the sun type atmosphere.
  3. I think the 'take a point' feeling is more because it effectively kills off much threat of them catching us as opposed to any real fear of playing Huddersfield, at this point in the season it's just about finishing the job and closing out our position. The only real downside of the draw would be it would mean Brighton would have a chance to go level on points again. If we play anything like we did against Brighton we'll fucking batter them imo.
  4. Aye he's right like. I think it obviously shocks the team, they are a motivated bunch and clearly give a fuck about being promoted but at the same time they're young and can be prone to a bit of over confidence. I also think Rafa then drops a couple of players when there's a poor result which helps wake up some that may have thought they were becoming automatic starters. I think either the Fulham or Birmingham game may be the one we are most at risk of tripping up on as they're low enough for over confidence but decent enough to spring a result against us. The best part about Rafa is I never fear us being blown out, it's fucking brilliant to think that even if we have a shite day it's only really going to be a goal or 2 difference, heading back to years ago when 3 goal losses really felt like a kicking rather than the Pardew years where that felt like a 1-0.
  5. Gives him a good view of all the wet beds and willys being waved tbh.
  6. Agreed, they came out so slow against Bristol in particular. I suppose it's a natural thing in a lot of sides but it's still very frustrating, hopefully Rafa can keep them focused as I'm slightly nervous for a small (as in 2 games) slump after this run of rough fixtures especially if we win against Hudds + Reading.
  7. I thought I recognized him from somewhere. You've sold it to me even more with all of that. I've no idea how Louie C.K manages the output he does at the level it all is mind, I heard another comedian going on about him recently saying that Louie is making great shows, and managing to create a specials worth of material every 12-18 months and that either of those things on their own is staggering let alone doing both at the same time.
  8. Rayvin on team willy waver when Gayle's back?
  9. Aye there's definitely a risk of complacency if we do. I'd fancy Rafa to be able to manage it but even then we've seen complacency cost us in games at times this season so it could creep in a little, it would almost be better to play Reading first but I suppose if we beat Huddersfield we'll be in a really strong position anyway.
  10. That looks class. I love his stand up and really enjoy Louie. I was inclined to give it a go but the bloke in the hat that goes "I'm not offended either" sealed it for me  . Started watching the OA last night, the first episode was canny and it comes highly rated so I'll definitely keep watching. The level of netflix shows is getting really high, I saw that Brad Pitt and Will Smith are both going to be starring in Netflix movies in the coming months in all.
  11. That's what makes it so fucking brilliant tbh, it makes no sense on any level. Last time I was visiting home I got into an argument with a Liverpool glory hunter I know and he was adamant Chelsea simply aren't a big club because it's all bought and they won a lot of them recently, it's this sort of re-drawing of what counts to suit their argument that makes it so funny tbh. Saunders can scream on that Villa are a 'bigger clooob' than Spurs but nobody cares, look where Spurs are at the minute . It shows their arrogance that he didn't even use the usual targets of us, Everton, etc, he just went straight to the current top 5 clubs. Fantasy land, I hope they enjoy the next decade in the lower leagues with the mackems.
  12. One of my old favorites is when they'd call you a radgy, "here man ya fuckkin radgy" when they were in fact the fucking radgy. I used to go to a fairly rough gym that was full of them, their stories were immense tbh. Hell of a lifestyle really.
  13. Our lot will be fired up as well hopefullyas they won't be wanting Huddersfield to do the double over them.
  14. Good chance this one will be a draw imo. I've stuck in that we'll win in the prediction as I'm hopeful of a win. I'd happily take either result tbh.
  15. Are charvas ever going to change? Honestly they dress, act, and even speak in the same way as when I was a kid, it's like a particularly low sub-species where they're never changing with the times even within their group. That kid is wearing pants tucked into white socks with boots on and a mera peak style coat, Buzzcocks was wearing the same shite in his videos yonks ago.
  16. They should have played them because they're getting burst on Saturday regardless the fucking bamps.
  17. The monster probably hasn't ever went near brown sauce.
  18. Agree with everything above. I also loved watching him get on the 4th officials case all game after the bullshit pen decision, constantly making his point and keeping the ref aware that Rafa wouldn't just let crap like that slide especially if it cost us. It may be a part of the reason Knockaert got nowt from his play acting.
  19. Aye I think so, the blokes a fucking tramp which is the only reason I can think of why he'd put steaks in an electronic shop.
  20. The best part about that is within a year of that launch Trump Steaks were no longer being sold at Sharper Image, and Sharper Image was filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
  21. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39015629 I hoped that we would one day get to read an article like this when we both went down and were told by all the pundits about how Villa would push us hard etc. It even has some brilliantly deluded quotes from Dean Saunders talking about how if placing was down to the size of club alone Villa would be top 6 (also includes the quote "Villa are bigger than Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham and Everton."). Magic article. It's also fantastic how poorly their fans have taken the craic from toon fans and are acting like when they laughed at us going down (unprovoked btw) it was all a big joke and we should have saw the funny side of it too, if fortunes were currently reversed those meek acting pricks would still be shitting on us so I'm happy for toon fans to keep the boot well on the throat of this utter boring hovel of a club. It is of course also quality that Clark has been our best CB and they were chuffed with 5m for him while pissing themselves, meanwhile their defence has been an utter shambles.
  22. No idea, it was at a restaurant in one of his hotels though. The article I saw had quotes from the waiter who served him but I couldn't find that one so here's one from Vanity Fair having a pop at him: http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/02/trump-hotel-dinner-ethical-mess If you scroll to the bottom of that article there is a slide show of pictures of him at his house in Florida over the years. They're fucking fantastic tbh.
  23. Aye that's probably right like, although the type of people who regularly call in are probably the ones that would be nodding their head going 'exactly!' when pundits are advocating Pearson over Benitez.
  24. Fucking hell, I thought I was being harsh with my phrasing when I just paraphrased from memory but he's far more confident in the actual quotes than my guess of what he said. So aye it's fucking absurd, to me that basically implies that it's harder to manage in the Championship and coach lower standard players which is of course utter fucking nonsense. The worst part about stuff like that is if we go up he'll be writing it off as if he'd been saying we'd piss it all along, "spent loads, what do you expect when they're paying a manager of Benitez's quality" etc, no one will pull him up on it and he'll carry on acting like he's an expert with no repercussions for chatting shite. Honestly man I think people get pulled up and kept honest on here far more than these pundits get pulled for their horrific predictions and they get paid to do it.
