I'm starting to think Rafa is just trying to make it a challenge for himself. "I got a side promoted that had Jack Colback, Vernon Anita, and Paul Dummett playing regularly, I also won the CL playing shite like Traore"
-
My issue with that is I've never saw anything from Anita to say he's better defensively than Yedlin. The fact the bloke offers no threat whatsoever seems to be the only reason he's said to be more defensive. Utter fucking clogger both sides of the ball like wor Jack. Really praying this is the last season at NUFC for both those frauds.
-
Yeah, I'm happy enough to think it's a rest but there is doubt as Anita was clearly his preferred option before he fortunately got injured. Honestly man seeing his fat arse and Colbacks stupid hair in the same side is shite even though we're doing really well.
-
We've broke Brighton tbh. After our leveler their threat was over, the Willys are waving now.
-
Unless Yedlin is tired I've no idea how Anita walks back into the side. It's one of the most baffling preferences Benitez has, Anita's no better defensively than Yedlin and he's no threat whatsoever on the attack.

That are already massively underfunded to begin with .

Only took him 1000 extra playing minutes in all.

I know they're there for money and they'll be rightly chuffed with the money they're getting but on some level surely it'll feel utterly fucking shite playing in an empty stadium after playing in packed ones in Europe, South America, Africa, etc like they've been doing up to this point. -
When Rafa made the announcement about Gayle, he had to pause as there was an audible sound of unzipping as people prepared to get their willys out ready to wave. To be fair I'd be hesitant to start him after last time, I mean Rafa and the team will know where he is at but I'd have no complaints with seeing Murphy start if he thinks we can win an aerial battle or Gouff to tire the defenders out. If we can get through this one without using Gayle it'll give him a bit longer to get 100%.

Agree with all of that including the state of Lansbury's hair, it made the Villa game extra sweet when watching it bounce back off him for an own goal. I think the thing is despite our excellent away form we're always going to be a bit cautious, the money is on us winning but we'd not be overly upset with a draw as it helps accomplish the job. Of course I really want us to win and go on to win the title, both things I reckon we will do.

I think the 'take a point' feeling is more because it effectively kills off much threat of them catching us as opposed to any real fear of playing Huddersfield, at this point in the season it's just about finishing the job and closing out our position. The only real downside of the draw would be it would mean Brighton would have a chance to go level on points again. If we play anything like we did against Brighton we'll fucking batter them imo.
-
Aye he's right like. I think it obviously shocks the team, they are a motivated bunch and clearly give a fuck about being promoted but at the same time they're young and can be prone to a bit of over confidence. I also think Rafa then drops a couple of players when there's a poor result which helps wake up some that may have thought they were becoming automatic starters. I think either the Fulham or Birmingham game may be the one we are most at risk of tripping up on as they're low enough for over confidence but decent enough to spring a result against us. The best part about Rafa is I never fear us being blown out, it's fucking brilliant to think that even if we have a shite day it's only really going to be a goal or 2 difference, heading back to years ago when 3 goal losses really felt like a kicking rather than the Pardew years where that felt like a 1-0.
-
Gives him a good view of all the wet beds and willys being waved tbh.
-
Agreed, they came out so slow against Bristol in particular. I suppose it's a natural thing in a lot of sides but it's still very frustrating, hopefully Rafa can keep them focused as I'm slightly nervous for a small (as in 2 games) slump after this run of rough fixtures especially if we win against Hudds + Reading.
-
I thought I recognized him from somewhere. You've sold it to me even more with all of that. I've no idea how Louie C.K manages the output he does at the level it all is mind, I heard another comedian going on about him recently saying that Louie is making great shows, and managing to create a specials worth of material every 12-18 months and that either of those things on their own is staggering let alone doing both at the same time.
-
Rayvin on team willy waver when Gayle's back?
-
Aye there's definitely a risk of complacency if we do. I'd fancy Rafa to be able to manage it but even then we've seen complacency cost us in games at times this season so it could creep in a little, it would almost be better to play Reading first but I suppose if we beat Huddersfield we'll be in a really strong position anyway.
-
That looks class. I love his stand up and really enjoy Louie. I was inclined to give it a go but the bloke in the hat that goes "I'm not offended either" sealed it for me  . Started watching the OA last night, the first episode was canny and it comes highly rated so I'll definitely keep watching. The level of netflix shows is getting really high, I saw that Brad Pitt and Will Smith are both going to be starring in Netflix movies in the coming months in all.

That's what makes it so fucking brilliant tbh, it makes no sense on any level. Last time I was visiting home I got into an argument with a Liverpool glory hunter I know and he was adamant Chelsea simply aren't a big club because it's all bought and they won a lot of them recently, it's this sort of re-drawing of what counts to suit their argument that makes it so funny tbh. Saunders can scream on that Villa are a 'bigger clooob' than Spurs but nobody cares, look where Spurs are at the minute . It shows their arrogance that he didn't even use the usual targets of us, Everton, etc, he just went straight to the current top 5 clubs. Fantasy land, I hope they enjoy the next decade in the lower leagues with the mackems. -
One of my old favorites is when they'd call you a radgy, "here man ya fuckkin radgy" when they were in fact the fucking radgy. I used to go to a fairly rough gym that was full of them, their stories were immense tbh. Hell of a lifestyle really.
-
Our lot will be fired up as well hopefullyas they won't be wanting Huddersfield to do the double over them.
-
Good chance this one will be a draw imo. I've stuck in that we'll win in the prediction as I'm hopeful of a win. I'd happily take either result tbh.
