At least they had that 88 minutes of walking on air before Butterfield smashed their dreams.

Newcastle United to pick up 3 points away at Ipswich tomorrow. 15:00.

Aye we've played 43 out of 46, Hudds have played 42. Is it adding a game to those? It must have mixed up when they were updating it.- 336 replies

It was firmly locked away for a good 3 hour period over both these games like. It's peeking out a little now though I must add, not in glory though more in a wanting to mock Huddersfield display as the lads don't deserve a wave the day.

I know we didn't really see any linked but I don't doubt some were being targeted. Those things have cost us aye but as I say some of the blame always lies at fat boys door, if he had allowed Rafa to spend people like me wouldn't have been watching Derby v Huddersfield, I blame all of them for me watching that horror show of a football match and all includes Ashley. I do agree that Rafa deserves pelters for today, the same as he deserved credit for big wins over Huddersfield and Brighton etc.- 336 replies

Aye, if we beat Preston we're 11 points clear and Hudds would have 4 games left so they'd need 4 wins and for us to lose our last two, if they drew against Fulham then aye it's all over if we win any of our games. I think Fulham will beat them, if they couldn't manage a win today after the incentive of us losing I can't see them beating Fulham who were honestly the best side we've played this year.

Aye it's a reversal in my household, I was in a foul mood slamming the cupboards in a little twisty strop while cooking before and then after my loud "GET THE FUCK IN BUTTERSFIELD YOU SWEATY BASTARD" startled my wife she's in a mood. I'm not arsed though I feel a lot happier after the Leeds result ruined my weekend, we just have to fucking pick up 3 points against Preston and I'd imagine we're up.

Aye the commentator was a bellend, talking about how Huddersfields style of play would suit the Premier League. What? Holding on against Derby County, aye that'll work a treat in a better league. Derby fully deserved something from that, honestly they deserved all 3 since Hudds goal was clearly offside, I still don't know what the linesman was looking at.
-
Brilliant, Derby saving our arses there. Big thanks to manager no name, you're a legend. Good to see Huddersfield get 5 minutes from nowhere again but it didn't help, Huddersfield are absolute fucking shite like no way will they get promoted unless they nick our spot.
-
Aye it would take an unmitigated disaster on their part for there to be any chance they'd not be up automatically.
-
Wagner time now, 5 minutes for no reason.
-
Genuinely cheered that as much as our equalizer today. What a sad cunt.
-
GET THE FUCK IN BUTTERFIELD!!!!! Now howay Derby use the momentum and beat this overrated rabble of CUNTS

You've already answered it though. Those defensive frailties were there before January, they're not a shock. We were stopped from bolstering the defence and it is now costing us as our only good defender has been injured. Same with the attack, we were winning games but we could have always done with more creative talent as we were relying on Shelvey and Ritchie, Rafa attempted to bring in Townsend to alleviate that but was blocked, Shelvey had to serve his ban which we all knew he was going to have to do and we were left with a stretch depending on Ritchie to do it all with Hayden and Colback as the CMs. Not sure why you're wanting to spare Ashley any of the blame here like, you can still have a pop at Rafa and blame Ashley at the same time.- 336 replies

Agree fully, the bloke just makes clanger after clanger and has all season. I'm not sure what he has done to be undroppable, anytime the ball is in the box and he's defending he just sticks his hands up and starts putting his toe in absolutely terrified of conceding a pen, no confidence in his own ability and no defensive instinct or timing. Clark has been head and shoulders above everything else at CB this season as you say, really hope he's back.- 336 replies

Huddersfield are just doing to Derby what we did to Huddersfield tbh. Just let them have the ball knowing they'll do fuck all with it then counter any chance you get, they have the added bonus of not having to worry about the ref giving a dodgy as fuck pen against them too.
-
They've done this all season and commentators still wank off over them, most of their games were won by a 1 goal margin.

Aye that defensive performance was among the worst I've seen in years. Ipswich didn't even do anything particularly well but you could see from the start of each of the moves that it would result in a goal.- 336 replies

Aye Hudds will comfortably hold out for a win here. Derby have absolutely nothing about them. That Van La Parra bloke is incredibly shit, I remember thinking it when they played us as well.

I must say though I'm really looking forward to the inspiring message the club will put up from Yedlin, or Murphy, etc shortly about how they are "looking forward to bouncing back" and how they're "going to give it their all for promotion", before they run out and not bother their arses at all again.- 336 replies

Aye, he's a fucking chancer man. He rolled the dice after we come 5th by only bringing in a midget with a fat arse, that lead to Cabaye kicking his pram over and we went down hill from there. He has done it again this season, we bought in the summer then got a good first half of the season but had obvious weak areas that if strengthened would guarantee promotion, instead he rolled that fucking dice again and now we've got a dreadful side nipping on our heels while our team decide to curl up into a ball and hope instead of taking ownership.- 336 replies

Aye San Benito's recent form is too good for you. Just saw a replay of the goal, I'm sure you will all be buzzing to know he looked about 3 yards offside. Never mind eh.

Agree with all of that MT. Whichever way it goes it's massively frustrating that Ashley yet again blocked attempts to strengthen from a position of strength, especially as we knew for a fact Shelvey was going to be missing a month of games and Gayle got hurt in Jan iirc. Injuries outside of the windows you can't do much about but we had these issues during a window and he didn't even allow us to get in a loan signing to cover. I think you're right that maybe the pressure is getting to them, I think the home form shows this lot have mental fragility and it has really shown in this recent run where as you say two good results would have put this whole thing to bed.- 336 replies

I was giving you the benefit of doubt but after your attempt to absolve Ritchie earlier you're on the bench.
-
You're forgetting that Derby are just like Hudds, they have 90% of the ball and don't bother to threaten the goal.
