Did they not raid Man City or Man Utd the other year as well?
-
Interesting, no doubt over Azpilicueta. If they're pulled in it I can't see anything more than fines being dished out.
-
They're not going to completely ruin two PL clubs over a couple of dodgy transfer dealings, that's not being realistic.
-
So likely to do with the Thauvin and/or Cabella deals. They did seem dodgy as fuck to be fair, especially the Thauvin one.
-
Spot on, the only thing is I hope whoever is actually responsible is punished. If they do something like give the club a transfer ban but don't touch the people that did it that hurts the fans more imo as it just gives fat boy an excuse to not buy anyone, I'd want to see a lifetime ban from football for Lee Charnley is what I'm saying (regardless of his level of involvement). But aye I won't be defending this utter fucking shambles, in fact I probably think less of the cunts than the people investigating them do.
-
Aye that's it like people are making these claims without any fucking clue of what has actually happened. Oh aye the mackems want to wind their necks in too, whatever has happened is nowhere near as bad as the club playing a bloke that had admitted grooming and touching up a child to them.
-
I think they did in a later court case iirc.
-
Did West Ham even get points deducted for the Tevez and Macherano stuff? I find it hard to imagine what the club has done is any worse than that, it'll be a fine, potentially Charnley getting the boot, and possibly some sort of transfer ban when it's finally figured out in 6-18 month. Liverpool only got a little ban from signing youth players for tapping up a ton of youth players in direct violation of FA rules, I can't see them relegating us banning us from transfers and deducting points ffs.
-
Aye it'll take forever tbh. They'll end up punishing the club in some way that hurts the fans more than owt, ban from football ownership/control for Ashley and Charnley please (never happen like).
-
I want rid of the fat prick asap tbh. As I say buyers are always a risk but this bloke has no intention of ever letting the club try and kick on short of mid-table dullness, he seems pretty shit at learning from his mistakes (still not buying from positions of strength) and even if he does learn it will just be to time our strengthening a bit better to avoid relegation.
-
These stories were always bound to come up when we got promoted tbh. As depressing as it is I can't see us being sold as the fat cunt will demand more than the club is worth for potential buyers. It would of course be nice to be bought, while it's a risk there's something sort of crap knowing we have to temper our excitement for anything Rafa can achieve at the club with the knowledge that at some point he'll be hamstrung in the transfer market and it'll be over.

Agreed, I think we've done so well over the whole season that getting over the line was always somewhat inevitable (although there were obviously nerves) for a good portion of the season. I think if we'd have been in 5th or something at xmas and finished the season in 2nd there would have been more of a reaction but it was more a feeling of job well done and relief of it finally being certain than some explosion of excitement like it is for Brighton. It was a very un-Newcastle way of wrapping it up as well with a 4-1 win that was in the end comfortable. The mackems have already started the "only finished 2nd when you spent all that" shite but honestly it's irrelevant, we're up and that was the aim. I'd personally love for us to win the title especially for some of the lads and coaching staff but we could end the season 2nd with 94 points ffs so if Brighton topple that tally they were always going to be hard to catch.
-
Aye they've been inventing narratives all season "it'll be mint marras when McClaren's Derby knock them out the automatic places. FTM", "Leeds will catch them marras, Monk is a classy manager FTM" as you say they've been fucking riveted to our season but are now giving it the "I'm not paying any attention I don't get why they're excited they're just going to go right back down". In that same thread one bloke actually said they'd piss the league with their current squad, can't wait until the penny drops in August .
-
They're a right bunch like, so they're outraged that the fan base are in any way pleased to be back in the Premier League despite being told all year how it's the only league that matters and they don't even bother watching the 'lower leagues'. They need to get a grip, we're going to get news and attention the same way Brighton did when their promotion was confirmed I find the fact they get their knickers in such a bunch about the inevitable excitement and news surrounding our promotion to be fucking hilarious. Grown men man, if roles had been reversed I'd have given it a quick "ah them fucking cunts are up" and not got upset because they got some news stories on the BBC.
-
The last comment on there now: "I'm pleased in a way. Keane said it perfectly when he complained that Sunderland shouldn't be celebrating winning the title. They're going over board because they're second" Aye coming from a club that had grown men hugging their sons and crying actual fucking tears when we went down in 2009/09. We were going so overboard that the club captains mother was moaning about the lack of party atmosphere in the ground. It's not like them to utterly fabricate stuff and treat it as fact though is it...
-
See defender of the paedo's Dangermows is in full on bitter as fuck mode What a pack of losers man. "Look at the mags happy about promotion marras, what the fuck are they thinking? Back to gettin howked, FTM" without a hint of irony considering they were going mental last season when they stopped up despite the fact there was no chance they would do anything bar get howked this season as they'd not had any season to build confidence/rebuild the side like we did.

Aye, he's got a good workrate which the rest of their team is lacking in so he definitely brings the energy up. He's also a better player than some of the other no marks that play for them but his finishing is crap.
-
Drivers over here are completely and utterly hopeless, I'm not sure if it's the fact all the cars are automatic so people don't pay much attention or if it's because their driving test is basically switching on the car but I'd never experienced road rage like it until I moved here. Someone actually almost crashed into me the other day while I was sat at a stop sign waiting to turn right onto the road and they were turning left onto the road I was on coming from my right, they undercut it so badly that despite the fact I wasn't moving they almost hit me. People who get a massive shop at a supermarket and just stand there while the person on the till is putting it all through not bothering to help bagging any of it so then the staff member has to bag the lot prolonging the whole process.
-
He's just a big lump who can't seem to hit an open net, he's absolutely the sort of player Sunderland should own tbf.
-
The thing with their team is that shit players look good because they're playing alongside worse ones. They always used to go on like Borini was a quality player but it seems this season they've finally clicked onto the fact he's hopeless as his hit and hope goals have dried up. As Meenz says that Kharzi has scored which puts him in a rare group of about 4 players to do so this season.
-
They'll be bottom half of this league. Defoe will be gone, Denayer, Manquillo, and Januzaj will all return to their parent clubs to tell everyone how shit their experiences were. So right off the bat without getting any money in that is 4 of arguably their better players gone. They have fuck all money and Short will know their chances of bouncing right back up are slim so I can't see him being all that willing to stick his hand in his pocket. On top of that they have Moyes as manager, this is a bloke that spent 13m on Djilibodji, Love, and McNair ffs, he doesn't have a fucking clue and from the signings he's made in recent years it looks like he has no idea there are players outside of the UK. They've got utter brass necks that they called our lot deluded for saying we'd be straight back up to suggest they'll be anywhere near. They wont even have a striker on their books ffs. Edit: I don't count Anichebe as a football player, that's why I said they don't have a striker.
-
As I said in the Rafa thread I don't see Ashley fucking Rafa about yet. There's no benefit for him whatsoever, he'd end up with the squad we have now and then needing to find a manager just before the season starts which would mean the team going straight back down. We'll spend a decent amount and let Rafa spend it the same as last summer, the fuckery might start in January or the following summer if we're comfortable though as he might see that as an opportunity to cheapen our and scrape survival.

We'll have Messi and Griezmann in by then man.
-
I reckon he'll get the backing. I have no faith in Ashley but I'd imagine he wants the club in the PL so will be happy to allow Rafa to ensure we stay in it, the issues will start if we're in a good position in January and Rafa wants to kick on or the following summer if we finished in a comfortable position. Those are the times I'm worried more about tbh.
