The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread 2018 -2019

Nothing at all to worry about yet Noelie, the window hasn't even been open a week. You're also not counting Atsu because he was already here but are counting Mooy likely going to Huddersfield when he was on loan there last season (he also hasn't signed yet). -
Imagine getting turned down by a manager so he can stay at Aberdeen. That means they've got absolutely fucking no money imo.

Aye that "we only have to pay £6m if we sell him" rumour is fucking laughable, have to be a right knacker to believe that. What club in their right mind would agree to that? Especially when we had Everton bidding £30m as well, I've never heard of a deal structured like that before. If they're paying installments and they sel him this season they'll carry on paying installments for a player they don't have on their books.- 1745 replies

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread 2018 -2019

Keepers have been fairly exempt from this sort of thing though, the Buffon fee has been the world record since the late 90's iirc. I agree Sissoko fee was probably more of a joke than this one but midfielders generally go for mental money, as Fulham rejecting £20m for a 26 year old Championship player shows. The Mackems must be buzzing, they'll probably be able to use about £2m of this fee to get themselves a shit player. -

Ah right aye figured Buffon was somewhere around there. Stunning amount for a keeper like, especially a keeper that was in the worst team in the league. Makes you wonder how much someone like Butland would be 'worth' in this market, similar age iirc and he's far better imo. -
"Would you take £8m? No? Okay how about £30m then"

Will that be the second highest fee for a keeper after Man City's recent purchase? I can't remember how much Buffon was. Unbelievable to spunk that sort of money on him like. -
Aye I'd be telling him to whistle. As you say I'm not fussed on the deal anyway as I don't see a great deal of upside for us, if he's shit we're stuck with him as a prominent striker, if he's good he goes back to Chelsea and we're back in the position of needing a striker again. I'd rather us get a player on loan with a view to sign permanently or buy one.

Fuck sake man. That is awful. RIP.

Aye he does. Boring as fuck team the stats Ant highlighted show how snore inducing they are. Hopefully it means one of the relegation spots is full for next season.
-
Honestly what a thick fucking cunt of a bloke, he can fulfill his life time dream of being a proper gangster now. What a total ball bag. Has he still got his long hair? It'll be a good look when someone inevitably makes him their bitch inside.
-
It's utterly pathetic. The mackems are a total embarrassment for agreeing to it, it's really typical of them that they'd be happy to do it mind as they're such a pathetic bunch that they'd be genuinely excited to be a part of that moment. John Terry's speech at the end of the game was a fucking joke as well. Walking round the pitch with dramatic pauses it was like watching the retirement of the most pompous, over the top broadway actor not a football player after a Premier League football game.

Agreed, there's no way teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid will have interest in him. I'd think it's more likely that Zidane has no idea who Sissoko is than being 'highly interested' in him . Spurs somehow got suckered into the buy because he (for some reason) got some press for his performances in the European Championship and then Everton panicked them into a signing, there are none of those factors in place to make a side like Barca interested. Barca are being heavily linked to Coutinho, Sissoko would struggle to play for Barca B.- 1745 replies

Are they not asking something like 20m for Cairney? I'd rather us spend that money (plus however much over that) to get someone like Sigurdsson. Maybe Cairney could make the step up but I just feel we could attract players who have done it at the PL (or comparable) level. I don't really rate Mooy, from what I've seen of him I think Shelvey is better and as Andrew said younger. He'd be fine as back up (clear upgrade on someone like Colback) but I can't really see us spending 10m on a back up. -
That's part of the reason I'm not arsed, it's a lot of money for our lot so the sponsor can have whatever colour they like. It still looks daft imo though.
-
It looks fucking daft with the blue sponsor and red numbers. I'm not arsed like as I won't be buying it anyway but like KD says this one was close to being class.
-
Stupid fat cunt, he's an embarrassment to our support tbh. He's basically a Mackem, has their mindset at the very least.
-
N'Dong is shite anyway, he only looks somewhat okay because those around him are an utter joke but in reality he's a poor player.
-
Agreed, from what I've heard of him in the media Rafa loves creating competition in the squad which is class imo. Far better than it was when the opposition manager knew exactly who Pardew would pick, in fact they could also note 'will sub left back between minutes 60 and 75'.
