Played well today, nice to see how poor other sides around us are as well. It goes to how wrong mackems were when they banged on about what a jump in class the bottom of the PL is compared to the Championship as honestly we were in the driving seat for 90 minutes against a side that have been in the PL for a while now. We did well at the back and looked a decent threat all game which is good to see, the work rate and desire to win is what I'm most pleased with today. Merino and Hayden controlled the midfield today, Ritchie motm, Atsu and Joselu worked hard and did well too. I think Lascelles also had a canny match, Clark controlled our defence and took his goal well. Still think we really need a player in that number 10 role as Perez was pretty shocking for long stints today.

Perez and his goatee are hopeless . He seems to have really regressed from that first season, either that or that side was so bad his work rate made him look better than he was.

Impressed with Joselu today, worked hard, took his goal well and got into dangerous positions. This west ham side are dirty cunts mind.

Hernandez probably should have been sent off then goes and almost scores, twat. Manquillo well out of position for that one. Hernandez made no attempt to win the ball and looked to just block Clark off, got lucky imo.

Best half we've played since we come back up. The players look up for it which is nice to see. Atsu and Merino in particular had a good half, chuffed for Joselu to get the goal as he's been grafting. No idea wtf Hart is moaning about, Ritchie was stood outside the box and made no movement towards him to block it, he just jumped in place, it's completely Hart's fault that Ritchie blocked it or should Ritchie actively try and avoid Hart's kicks ffs.

Perez trying daft flicks and getting in others way is tedious. Crying out for a proper player in that role tbh, we're getting to the area but the final ball is severely lacking.

At least our lot finally look up for a game btw. Think they were hungover last week.

Aye Perez is getting really frustrating, it's like he wants to make the touch look elegant by bringing it down on his toe rather than just making sure he controls it. I still think that's the position we need to improve above all else.

Completely agree. Aye, West Ham haven't been getting results but they've caused a threat which is something we haven't really done. Chicharito will rinse us today tbh. -

Aye, I'm at the point where I'll only believe Rafa will leave or that there's a problem when he actually walks out or actually says himself there is one. The media have been saying he's leaving since he walked in the door tbh. I'm not saying there isn't friction between Rafa and the fuck heads at the top mind. -
Aye, it is a waste as that first bunch of players have barely ever played for us and collectively cost 15-20m. We all knew Rafa was and is prone to buying some shite in the transfer market, the difference is he's usually able to bring in other more effective players but it seems like Ashley is putting the brakes on the spending so we're left having to play the missteps.

I hope he starts with Gayle and Joselu next game, Perez doesn't bring anything to the table and it looks like Joselu can bring the ball down and hold onto it a bit which might open things up for Gayle. We desperately need some creative quality, without Shelvey we have no one that can open sides up.

I agree, it was really fucking odd how casual and complacent they looked at times. It was almost as if they were trying to look relaxed on the ball so they looked confident but in reality it just looked slow in possession and led to them being closed down and misplacing simple passes.

Aye, the commentators are trying to make out that Huddersfield were quality but honestly both sides had a similar chance, Ritchie's and Mooy's, theirs went in and ours was saved. None of that lets our lot off as like you say we were hopeless.

Aye, that starting 11 had 9 starters from last season. We just have no quality, this lot struggle to string passes together and play like utter strangers. Merino looked ok especially towards the end but having him and Hayden together is too similar of a pairing and then having no proper number 10 in front of them really inhibits us.
