Perez trying daft flicks and getting in others way is tedious. Crying out for a proper player in that role tbh, we're getting to the area but the final ball is severely lacking.

At least our lot finally look up for a game btw. Think they were hungover last week.

Aye Perez is getting really frustrating, it's like he wants to make the touch look elegant by bringing it down on his toe rather than just making sure he controls it. I still think that's the position we need to improve above all else.

Completely agree. Aye, West Ham haven't been getting results but they've caused a threat which is something we haven't really done. Chicharito will rinse us today tbh. -

Aye, I'm at the point where I'll only believe Rafa will leave or that there's a problem when he actually walks out or actually says himself there is one. The media have been saying he's leaving since he walked in the door tbh. I'm not saying there isn't friction between Rafa and the fuck heads at the top mind. -
Aye, it is a waste as that first bunch of players have barely ever played for us and collectively cost 15-20m. We all knew Rafa was and is prone to buying some shite in the transfer market, the difference is he's usually able to bring in other more effective players but it seems like Ashley is putting the brakes on the spending so we're left having to play the missteps.

I hope he starts with Gayle and Joselu next game, Perez doesn't bring anything to the table and it looks like Joselu can bring the ball down and hold onto it a bit which might open things up for Gayle. We desperately need some creative quality, without Shelvey we have no one that can open sides up.

I agree, it was really fucking odd how casual and complacent they looked at times. It was almost as if they were trying to look relaxed on the ball so they looked confident but in reality it just looked slow in possession and led to them being closed down and misplacing simple passes.

Aye, the commentators are trying to make out that Huddersfield were quality but honestly both sides had a similar chance, Ritchie's and Mooy's, theirs went in and ours was saved. None of that lets our lot off as like you say we were hopeless.

Aye, that starting 11 had 9 starters from last season. We just have no quality, this lot struggle to string passes together and play like utter strangers. Merino looked ok especially towards the end but having him and Hayden together is too similar of a pairing and then having no proper number 10 in front of them really inhibits us.

We looked fucking hopeless in the first two matches last season, so hopefully we can pick it up from here like we did then. We do look like we lack quality mind.

Unfair yellow that, entitled to go for it. He was late but they've had 3 or 4 challenges like that on players go unpunished. I'd like to see Murphy play, why spend £12m on him and then never bother with him, it's not like Ritchie and Atsu have done much today.

I agreed with your original point btw. As much as I like and root for Gayle I think it's clear, as you say, that we're not strong enough elsewhere to have him be the lone man up top. I'm still hoping we can loan Wilshere, I know he is a bit paper mache in all but he'd be far better in the number 10 role than what we have.

It's hard playing with a lone striker that is just a poacher unless you have a strong midfield imo. The ball never sticks up front as we have a poacher in Gayle and then a near non-existent number 10. It's about the only reason I'm not against a loan move for Carroll as at least he can hang onto the ball for a bit.

Very frustrating half that, Huddersfield look as shite as I thought they would despite the commentator acting like they've been the better side they've had no chances. Our lot look like they're playing a training game after a night on the piss, very casual and sloppy in possession all over the park.

Mbemba doesn't look comfortable at left back, he seems to keep drifting inside giving the winger a lot of room. Unless he's being told to do that it might be better switching him and Clark.
