  1. It's fucking poetic that Murphy scored the winner against them at that rubbish tip they call a stadium after all the flak they give us for signing him. I like him even more now, came to us scored some vital goals left on good terms and is helping sink the mackems. Just need a Burton Albion win over them.
  2. Good to hear he's back and looking well. I see the mackems were fewmin that our lot were chanting his name, they were also putting embarrassed face emojis and cringing ones. Not sure what exactly is embarrassing or cringeworthy about a fan base chanting for their manager? It's certainly a lot less embarrassing and cringeworthy than chanting for a filthy kiddie fiddler like some fan bases have done...
  3. Too soon to be bringing that nightmare back up.
  4. You're reaching a point where he may have to pump more money in to have them in that stable Championship club on a shoestring position mentioned than the difference in market value between a club in that position and a one in League One that's undergoing administration. It's also worth noting he'd probably have to keep owning them for another 2 years to steer them into a position like that (due to the contracts and other things mentioned by ewerk), at that point it's also wasting time capital and tying up funds in an attempt to recoup extra losses rather than just cutting them and moving on.
  5. Aye, banks tend not to trust people that will say if they could borrow a bit more and have more time they'll get the bank all their money back. Sunderland aren't looking like a good bet for a bank to recoup their money from, if a bank could get some part of what they are owed they may well take it rather than gambling as to what they'd get from administration proceedings. It can also get a bit ropey if certain lenders can recoup what they are owed just before administration proceedings begin, as it's seen as unfair on the other lenders. Banks will try but I just mean that's another reason some may come in and take as much as they can rather than wait for Short to come swooping in with the full amount. Short has been pumping fucking fortunes into them since Quinn sold him down the river with his bs about how good Sunderland are, I think he's getting close to the end of giving a fuck if he hasn't hit that point already. He's clearly not going to pump the money in in the hope they'll go back up, he may well just let it fall into administration sell the club for cheap and then look to arbitrate with the administrators how much he can get for what he's owed (that's if he has set his payments up as loans like Ashley).
  6. Merino led the team in tackles attempted and won as well as intercepted passes against Swansea iirc. It's good to be in a position where we have actual options at CM for the first time in fucking yonks.
  7. Aye that about sums it up Fish. They're hilarious mind. 20th ffs how fucking shite are they, they got battered at home to Sheffield Utd (not on scoreline but on performance). I hope Burton Albion give them a right hiding. I genuinely hope they go down to league one. I think there's a good chance they will as I can't see that dick head Short coughing up the money to fuck Grayson ( still find it hilarious that no mark is their manager, and they STILL try and have pops that Rafa Benitez is our manager!) off. If he did sack Grayson, where do They go from there? Vanarama Conference North managers?
  8. I'm still creased that they fired him. It's been 4 games ffs!!! What are they fucking thinking? Imagine getting paid up on a multi year contract from what? 2-3 month work what a total fucking knob jockey Parish and co are. I can't wait until they fuck off back down.
  9. I agree that he was poor against Hudds but I'd say it was early days for him at the club. I thought Merino and Hayden have done a very good job controlling the midfield in both the West Ham and Swansea games, I've been impressed with them both in the absence of Shelvey (which we have struggled to deal with in the past). I think the reason many have been quick to praise is due to the horrible ginger alternative. The fact that Merino has come in and looked at the very least competent (I personally think he has been impressive so far but I understand if you want more time before forming an opinion) means that tattooed ginger schnozzle is even further from the starting line up, for that alone I love him. P.s I wrote this while wanking (to my, and everyone else but yours, boy Mickey M)
  10. Tbf they shouldn't worry about that as they'd have to be relevant to be a laughing stock. I'll enjoy watching them sink like a stone back to where they (and the mackems) belong.
  11. I think the fact they've been so trigger happy here would put most decent managers off. Likely just interest ones looking for a quick pay off now. It's also worth noting that Pardew went from 500k to 2m a year or so and it was a club he had history with.
  12. As shite as we have been for nearly all of Ashley's ownership it is a blessing to have a local rival as incompetent and ridiculous as that lot.
  13. I'm glad Ritchie got booked for it as the way some people are blowing up about it he'd have definitely got that FA committee on his case. For me the Mane challenge was very different, Ritchie was trying to nick the ball away before it arrived at Mawson whereas the Mane challenge was a direct 50/50 with both players charging at the ball in opposite directions. We see similar to Ritchie's at least once a game, whereas the Mane one is rarer. Again I'm bringing up the one by the Hudds player on Mbemba which was if not worse then at least on par with Ritchie's and the lad didn't get anything against him for it so the mackems and media crew can fuck right off.
  14. If anyone is a bit down and/or hungover give the thread about this match on SMB a read . What a bunch of fucking losers that support is.

  16. I see they've got an Ellis Short v Ashley thread on there, a lot of them saying they'd prefer Ashley as he backs his managers better. Isn't their net spend close to double ours over the last 5 seasons?
  17. Aye I read something on one of the many articles about that game where they were trying to use the sending off as the reason for the loss. I understand the fact they were down to 10 men was a factor in them losing as heavily as 5-0 but they were still losing when he went off. It's also worth bringing up (as I do every week to my own delight) how mint it is to watch Palace be fucking useless again, best performance they've had so far and it was still a comfortable loss to Burnley.
  18. Aye I can too. Lawrenson is and has always been a fucking disaster of a bloke, how he still has a job as a pundit in any capacity is beyond me. Does anyone, of any fanbase, respect his opinion? What bothered me about the coverage was how much they overrate Swansea, I can understand (to a certain degree) them wanking over Sanches since the last time most have seen him play was the Euros where he was young player of the tournament, but they were banging on about Tom Carrolls technical ability ffs .
  19. I think a lot of that is down to the fact all the pundits (at least the ones on Telly) favoured Swansea heavily over us, so when we were comfortably better it showed them up for knowing fuck all. In fact at one point the commentators were bigging Swansea up and including their run from the end of last season despite the fact their two star players from that side are no longer there.
  20. Impressive that Swansea have retained their style of 'all fart and nee shite' through 3 managers now. Fucking bunch of slugs. We need to sign Merino for the quoted amount if players like Sanches cost £10m to loan.
  21. Agreed, he's so wasteful and even though he sometimes finds himself in good positions his awareness is so poor the ball always seems to catch him by surprise. If we do nothing else in January we desperately need a no. 10.
  22. Chuffed with that. Lascelles MOTM imo. Thought we were clearly the better side in both halves, Swansea offered fuck all and got away with murder all game. Big result for us as it boosts the confidence further on the back of the win at home against West Ham. Despite the fact we still don't offer as much as I'd hope going forward Joselu definitely provides threat and is a nuisance for defenders.
  23. How the fuck was that not a foul and booking for Clucas??
