Newcastle United vs Manchester City - 27/12/17 @ 7:45pm (Live on Sky)
Howay replied to Haydnator's topic in Newcastle Forum
The daftest part is when they slag us to bits and then finish with something along the lines of how close we came to nicking a draw and that would have been a great result So they had us getting pumped 5-0, a draw would have been a great result but they were shocked we played a compact and defensive style. -

They’ll proper big him up now. He’s as prone to a clanger as what they have now. -

You have to love these fucking arsehole pundits. They all had us getting battered 4-0 or 5-0, we lose 1-0 and give a good account of ourselves (to such a degree Pep took a striker off for an extra defender) and these absolute cunts are saying we’re shite, boring. Shearer is banging on about how it’s relegation form, what did he expect? That we were going to batter a team that cost 20 times our side? A team that’s entire starting 11 where each player cost more than double our transfer record. They can all get fucked. Also Gayle had a far bigger shout for a pen than that little horrible, dirty cunt Alli did but they’re happy to shrug it off as a dive. Good fromRafa and the lads today, it took a scuffed finish off Sterlings studs to undo us, if we had anything resembling quality up front we’d have at least nicked a draw. -

Dummett to make a triumphant return and put Raheem Sterling in his back pocket for the duration of the match. We’ll stop Peps record breaking bunch and will be their only loss all season. -

Good performance over all, nice to see us properly creating chances. Thought Atsu, Ritchie, And Lascelles were class. Saivet had a good match after his early slip up. We needed that, made hard work of it in the end against the 12 men of West Ham with some sloppy passing and decisions. -
No idea, if that’s the case get Luiz and Sturridge.

We’ll cuff these. We will then ruin Peps win streak just short of Bayern’s 19 wins in a row record, people will remember us like Redknapp’s Pompey team that stood in the way of a Man Utd treble back in 2008, although rather than going on and winning a trophy ourselves we’ll just ruin their party a little bit. -
Aye, get them both in. If the takeover is happening I could see a loan for Luiz being fairly possible, if it’s out of fat Mikes pocket (no payback from Staveleys lot) then there’s fuck all chance.

If Man City win the PL, and the CL I think he’d have a very strong case (not that I think Messi or Ronaldo will win the CL but it seems FIFA give it to one of them regardless even in years where people like Ribery, Sneijder, etc have had good shouts). He’s been phenomenal and is integral to the side which is probably playing the best football in Europe atm. Alli of course give it a good go to ruin all that, he’s not that type of player though...
-
I hope you’re right Parky. It just always astounds me that the bloke keeps putting people like Lee Charnley, his son in law, or brother in a room full of sophisticated financiers, lawyers, etc and seems miffed that the negotiations don’t go his way.
-
Aye apparently he has fucked off on holiday and left his son-in-law in charge of this if it wasn’t Ashley I’d never believe it.

I don’t say this sort of stuff about many people but I genuinely hope I wake up one day to news the horrible bastard is bankrupt. He knows how much football means to the city and the people, to a lot of people it’s a massive part of who they are. Many people graft all week looking forward to the match day. This bloke has come in and pissed around with it, embarrassed it, soured local ties, cheapened it, and made the actual football side of the club a boring, half arsed shit show. It makes me constantly question why he fucking bought the club, he absolutely never intended it to be an Abramovic-lite play thing, and if he genuinely intended to buy the club as an investment then it’s a fucking miracle that he’s a rich man as it’s been run as if it had been owned by a man that simply hates the city of Newcastle for a decade (I mean could you fucking imagine a bloke as inept as Lee Charnley in a C-suite position at a top company ). Knowing stuff like how he pissed around the group that bought Man City just makes it even more galling. He had a chance to get out with a profit, when he has absolutely no right to do so, yet he did absolutely nothing but embarrass himself, the football club, and potentially ruin any hope of the club having a buyer from that region even. Against all the odds that has happened again, somehow the lightening has struck twice, yet the bloke somehow seems to think he has the strong hand here honestly they should do studies on this bloke as he is completely incapable of learning from his mistakes. Just sell us you absolutely fucking horrible fat, greedy, lying, conniving pig. Then please promptly go backrupt. -
PL hits the nail on the head imo. The only thing I care about at the moment is this take over going through, like PL says if it doesn’t and Ashley remains in charge it doesn’t really matter what happens. It’s crystal fucking clear he will never ever let this club do anything, he was in a position to really kick on this summer, genuine quality manager, a young squad that with a bit of quality here and there could have comfortably solidified a Prem position and then kicked on, and he purposefully avoided spending. As long as the takeover goes through relegation doesn’t matter, it’s just a 1 year setback. If it doesn’t go through I don’t give a fuck if we stay up as it’ll be more of the same. I struggle to remember having a side in the past 10 year that could pass the ball well, or where you could see where the next goal was coming from (short of the back to back purple patches of Ba and Cisse), and there’s one man to blame for all of that.
-
Aye that’s a red. Imagine the uproar if Shelvey made that tackle. In all honesty Alli should be getting a similar reputation by now as he’s prone to the sly cuntish challenge.
-
Games like that are hard to take like, we defended well and it took a fairly spectacular effort to get a goal for them. Any sort of quality in attacking positions would have got us at least a point. It’s positive to see us looking better again defensively since Lascelles comeback, a complete clanger from the keeper, and a brilliant finish from Ozil being the only goals conceded, but we really have fuck all up front. I still don’t see the point in playing Joselu, I understand Gayle at times can look very isolated in that formation but at least he’s something resembling a goal threat if he ever did get a half chance. Just have to hope that the fat pig sells because honestly if he fucks this deal up following this lot will become fairly pointless, as this squad shows more than any that Ashley has no ambition or interest whatsoever to even allow the club to do anything besides attempt to cling onto PL survival for as cheap as possible. I know we knew most of that before but this would be him throwing away what would more than likely be the last good offer for the club he could hope for.

He simply has to sell, his hand is growing weaker and weaker. If he pisses this lot off then it’s hard to see who would bother coming in to try and buy after he pissed around a very willing buyer with a more than fair offer on the table. I’d say he must surely see this but it’s Mike Ashley, the stupid cunt probably thinks he’s the stronger party in the negotiation even now. -
To add to this Troy Deeney just got sent off against Huddersfield for a far weaker challenge than Cabaye and Kane did on our lot.
-
Chasing ghosts here, anytime we do touch the ball it just ends up being given away without much Arsenal pressure. Just hurry up and sell man Ashley you greedy pig.
-
Glad to see Darlow dropped. Think ewerk is right regarding Ritchie needing a rest, he’d been looking a bit ragged on the defensive side of his game recently and was conceding fouls, a congested run coming up as well. It also could be that Rafa went for the pace of Murphy and Atsu as we’re obviously going to be setting up to counter.
-
Ndidi sent off for diving the cunt kicked and elbowed his way through our team but didn’t even get booked.
-
I’m with Andrew, we’ll batter this lot. Lascelles will put lacazette in his back pocket and that’ll be that. Dummett to come on at half time, absolutely level Sanchez then stand over him yelling like Batty on Keane.
-
Agree with this. It's so frustrating to have a keeper you absolutely cannot trust in net, he really should be dropped after that one. I totally agree about the ref mind, that Holgate took one of our lot down outside the box first half and got a warning if he had been booked for that he'd have been off after his later card (or at the very least more cautious). I'm never convinced there's some conspiracy but the complete lack of pens we've had or red cards against opposition is fucking absurd, and as you say it's getting very frustrating seeing opposition players receiving a warning while ours are booked for similar fouls. I still don't understand how Rooney didn't get booked for what was clearly a "put one on them" type challenge on Ritchie after it got a bit scrappy and he ran over showing a hint of elbow. I'd get annoyed at Shelvey but I agree with what SEW said earlier that the ref is just being a bit of a cunt really, it's the 94th minute, we've lost, it's not a bad challenge he was just late and overreaching, I know it's a yellow but he'd let more than a few Everton players off for similar whereas Shelvey got a booking for each of his fouls iirc. Allardyce is such a shite manager mind, with a far poorer squad Rafa had control of the game, quality let him down as we had enough of the ball in dangerous areas to put them away and their goal was from utter fucking shambolic goalkeeping. Diame is a fucking nightmare of a player mind, anytime the ball comes to him he needs about 4 touches to bring it under control. The only positive I take from this one is that Lascelles is back and had us looking a fair bit more confident at the back. It's also incredible that despite 7 losses and 1 draw from our last 8 matches we're still 16th and only 3 points from 11th.

Was there not some recent fear about the government getting tougher on Chinese money leaving China? I seem to remember something along those lines recently. Milan are also having a bit of bother with their new Chinese owners as well aren’t they? Neither question is aimed at you btw Graing. I’m firmly in the same camp that as long as they’re better than Ashley I’ll behappy for now. -

I’d heard a rumour that it was some Saudi Arabians that were wanting to compete with the growing influence Qatar and Dubai had in football. Absolutely fuck all backing that up mind. -
All other points aside do you think Abramovic has the interest any more?
