The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread 2018 -2019
Howay replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
Good to see if this one gets done. Fucking mental that it has taken this long to get a striker and that it’s only a loan. We’re going to be desperate again come summer if we stay up and Ashley will yet again be shocked at prices we are quoted despite this level of desperation for a striker. -

Aye that’s it like, we may as well just be in the Championship as the horrible fat cunt isn’t even pretending to allow the team to compete in any way. The fans get to watch football either way, honestly we might get a bit more exciting footy if we went down as it’s this squads level. The main plus to being in this league is it gives us the best chance to be shot of the horrible pig but he’s made it clear he’s too fucking thick to even manage that. As I’ve said numerous times I hope the bloke ends up with fuck all, he’s just a horrible fucking cunt. These gambles are getting more and more daft, what’s the goal? to last until summer and then not want to buy again? It’s just fucking stupidity. If it wasn’t for Rafa we’d be rock bottom iyam and honestly it’d be a hell of an achievement for Benitez to keep this club up, again though we’re back to what’s the fucking point? We’re just in the league to be in the league at the moment, it’s not like we’re seeing a higher calibre of player by being in this division other than the ones our lot play against. -

The man is just a cunt. It says a lot about how much of a cunt he is when at times you almost hope we just fucking go down so the cunt loses money, albeit in the grand scheme of things he’d still be loaded but watching him make a profit when he sells the club will always make it bitter sweet for me. I genuinely hope to hear about him going bankrupt one day. -

I think Sandro was always up against it at Everton, the team had no real identity and looked fairly aimless at the start of the season and he only got about 8 games before Niasse scored a couple and was preferred to him. My main issue with him is he’s only 22 and is very inexperienced and I think we need experience in the side, he had a canny season with Malaga and I’d take him on loan tbf but that doesn’t say a lot when Joselu is plodding about. If we got Sandro and Schurrle in on loan I think that’d be a big boost to the strike force (mostly down to Schurrle obviously but I reckon Rafa would get a fair bit out of Sandro). -
It was interesting that he was saying there have been significantly less fouls and yellow cards since it was brought in, as since players know they’re being watched more closely they aren’t taking as many risks. I think what they were all saying on there was right that the black and white decisions will be helped by it, ones that the official simply missed, but there are a lot of gray areas such as handballs etc where it’s never going to please everyone.

Agree with all of this. The bloke is just a complete fucking arsehole and until he fucks off from the club it’s almost impossible to get excited about NUFC, as we know for a fact he will never ever let the club kick on he’ll just do the absolute minimum possible to cling to the PL. -
Its fucking brilliant. You know you’re shite when James Vaughn wants out. There was a thread the other day where they were all discussing how brilliant Coleman is, and one bloke mentioned that they’re two places lower compared to when he took over so they just kept bringing up that he’s got more points per game than Grayson
-
Really fucking hope they go down.
-
Spot on. Today was a frustrating one, our lot just couldn’t put their chances away. It’s positive that we created so many though. Imagine if Rafa had a PL level squad of players, we’d probably be safe already man what a fucking wanker Ashley is. Even if he’d just let Rafa get a PL level striker he could comfortably guide us away from the rabble below imo.

Aye I saw that in all, they were making a ton of paedo jokes before the Boro match then 24 hours later saying they look forward to him getting out in 2019 so they can sign him again. One even said Johnson got a mackem top for xmas and they said “that’ll make the mags gutted” they genuinely think fans of other clubs give a fuck who people support like they do. I’m definitely not bothered which team a scummy little paedo supports.
-
I don’t know if it’s him unraveling or if everyone around him is just sick to the back teeth of covering for him. Not that he wasn’t always fucking batshit but it seems it’s getting more absurd by the day. He’s just a complete joke.

Aye that Kenedy looks shite. He tried to back heel it in the first half at the side of their own box and gave it away immediately.

Aye I’ve heard the same, think Ashley comes back from holiday in a week. I know he obviously delegates transfers but he always seems to be away on holiday when the transfer window is open the fucking oaf. -

Aye, 3-1 up Perez has scored two and the twat is having a pop at him . I get Perez is a frustrating player but he doesn’t deserve stick today ffs. -
“Coleman: Coming here, before we kicked a ball, we knew we were up against it. We have to be a bit realistic. #safc” He’s talking about a side in the same division. Looks like MLF and world class manager Chris has hoyed in the towel like Moyes did last season.

Not much of a surprise that shortly after Lascelles goes off our defence drops a clanger. -

Don’t know how to embed the tweets on my phone properly: https://mobile.twitter.com/mickquinn1089/status/949362267606409218 https://mobile.twitter.com/mickquinn1089/status/949358540992458752 He also retweeted a fake ssn story, said he was only joking with that retweet and that he wouldn’t string NUFC fans along unless he thought there was some truth. Probably bollocks mind. -

As KD says this is the strongest cup line up we’ve seen in ages. Maybe Mandy has told Rafa to give it a go, Mick Quinn seems convinced people reckon he’s fell for a fake ssn tweet, but he’s saying he’s heard from 3 sources it’ll be announced later. -
Manager Chris Coleman said: “Throughout my time at the football club I have continually reiterated that I only wish to work with players who want to be here and work hard for Sunderland. “Lewis informed us of his desire to leave and we wish him well.” If that was true he’d be picking from the stands. Cant blame Grabban at all mind, leaves that utter mess and will likely be playing for the top side shortly.

I’m not disputing that what you’re saying would be their best shot at staying up, I just don’t see them doing it. I think Short is out of his depth, has no idea what to do, and the financial situation is dire. If the reason he didn’t spend in the summer was because he thought they’d survive comfortably then I could see Short being daft enough to think a meager spend would have them survive. I just simply think they’re gone, I think Short is perhaps even at the point of just accepting it, we’re almost a week into the window and I’ve barely heard anything from them other than players possibly leaving. Anyway im off to work. I guess we’ll see which way Short goes, I think it’s a fairly big struggle even if he does go and spunk 20-30m as Coleman is useless in all.
-
What are they worth? Especially Kone given his performances for the last 12 month. They spent about £1.5m of the money they got from Pickford, if their financial situation was dire enough that he couldn’t divert £10m of that to player sales in the summer I can’t see them spending all of the proceeds from January sales. Even if they do spend any money they get from them two they’re standing still, not improving. They’d be losing who I assume is their best midfielder and defender (I haven’t seen any of their games besides highlights) so any spend would have to replace them before improving in any way.
-
As I said in my earlier post there will not be a significant spend. I’m not ruling them spending small amounts like they did in summer or scratching around for some loan deals (they simply have to if Grabban goes back) but they won’t suddenly spend the Pickford money and be able to bring in upper Championship players.
