Aye at the moment there’s no evidence to convince me that the international consortium aren’t Stewart’s mates who own the red lion in Benidorm. I’m going to say the reason for saying awab is racism, no evidence but it’s a fan base that racially abused the mother of their best player and since they love sweeping generalizations I’m going to go with that. They seem obsessed with wanting to it be Staveley, which is no shock, but she’s not going to go from bidding on two PL clubs to buying some League one rabble so there’s not even a bit of me thinks it’s plausible. They also miss the point that Staveley WAS the frontperson in our bid, theirs is a bloke who owns Eastleigh. They really have to stop trying to draw comparisons to us, we are in £200m-£300m bid territory, they’re in the owner literally paying to give them away territory.
-
Aye, think that about does it for that. Shame. Good use of VAR to turn the wrong pen and yellow decision to be a free kick and red. Diego Simeone’s son is a canny player mind.
-
Honestly it’s fucking gold on there, an itk thread saying it’s Staveley with a Spanish consortium now so itk but there wasn’t a whiff a bloke that owned Eastleigh would be buying them ffs. They’re all lapping it up as “that’ll wind the mags right up”, I can’t wait until it finally dawns on them that they’ve been bought by a bloke who has about £8m and a few of his mates.
-
The Lampard and Gerrard one’s are yet another example of them wanting a connection to successful clubs, so they can be a part of it. That’s exactly why they loved Roy Keane despite him being a pretty poor manager. It’s fucking pathetic, then again I’m being harsh they are a League One club so them being small time is exactly what they should be. The best part is they’re all bopping about going “where’s the mags now?” as if something really good has happened to them, while it’s a positive that they seem debt free the new owner puts them firmly in the lower league bracket. They all seem convinced that they’ll now be getting a big name manager in, and be in a position so spunk money. As 247 said any consortium fronted by the owner of Eastleigh is hardly going to be the Abu Dhabi United group is it

I know he’ll be linked, he has been since about 2 month after he walked into the club. My point was it seemed like a wind up attempt by you. I also don’t see how Newcastle are in any turmoil tbh, unless you’re classing Rafa trying to get funding from Ashley turmoil which imo it’s not. I would say Leicester are in far more turmoil as things stand, likely to fire their manager and the star player wants out so badly he bleached his hair so that he’d stand out even more on the pitch.
-
I’m assuming this is after the drawing didn’t win her over.
-
Did you honestly need to draw that plan CT?

Cracking own goal by Declan Rice there to make it 0-2 Citeh

Agree tbh. He might be a nice bloke but I find it a little hard to believe that he’d write off £140m and hand the club away for nowt, that just basically guarantees this new bloke can earn a tidy sum. All he has to do is use the parachute payments and player sales to pay the balance of high earners contracts, bring in a League One manager, some league one experience, mix in the youth, hope to steady in League One and then put the club on the market. I can’t see a bloke like Short being willing to do that. That’s why there must be a catch, he must be owed the parachute payments, perhaps a percentage of future player sales for a set period, I’ve no idea but I can’t see him doing what it first seems.
-
They’ll be packing people’s bags at the super market to raise money to keep the 2nd team.
-
“Stewart, the clubs owner has a special message for the first team” ”How many fucking times have I told you lot to switch the lights off if you’re not in the room? In fact if there’s daylight you don’t need to even put them on! Also pack in filling your water bottles with the tap water, you can bring from home or buy from the vending machines okay?”
-
He had Eastleigh running at a profit (after sticking in likely half his net worth) apparently, so with what you’re saying there he’ll no doubt aim to do the same with SAFC. Imagine the fucking clip they’re going to be trying to turn a profit in League One, especially with Cattermole and Rodwell earning more than some clubs entire wage bills.
-
Recover to what though? They’re owned by a bloke who will put post it notes on the computers reminding people to switch them off when they’re not in use.
-
Probably his mate that lives on the Isle of Wight or Jersey lent him the quid that Short wanted, that’s about as international as SAFC will get now.
-
According to this: https://companycheck.co.uk/director/913720423/MR-STEWART-JAMES-DONALD/summary The net worth of all the Companies he holds is about £8m. Spunked £4m of his own money on Eastleigh. They’d be better off if Shelvey had bought them, in fact there’s a chance Rodwell has more than this bloke.
-
Here’s a quote from their new owner: “The other day I hit the roof because we were giving out free bottles of water which cost us 10p and the players were only drinking half of it. It’s wastage and I’ve now saved the club £500.”
-
The best part is they’re all buzzing, they need to open their eyes as in 6 years of ownership the bloke got Eastleigh promoted once and they’ve sat bottom half of the Conference premier since. Short has paid off the debt as a charity and handed them off to the first bloke who would take them iyam, our players probably have more money than this bloke. It’s also possible that Short may have stipulated that he received the future parachute payments in return for his paying off the debt and sellling the club for a quid.
-
It’s a weird one, they’re all buzzing but I think they’ll soon realize that having your owner pay off all the debt and give them away for, likely, next to nowt to the owner of Eastleigh FC isn’t going to be some exciting next chapter. In one fell swoop they’ve immediately become a proper lower league club. They’re also completely stuck with Rodwell and other high earners now.
-
They’ve almost immediately took to abusing Short, who has just reached into his pocket and paid the debt when he could have just let them go into administration Classy.
-
The owner of Eastleigh has took them over.
-
What a fucking burning pile of shite that club is. Phil Brown next.

Mohamed’s member movers and shakers v Pardew’s shit stained legacy.

Aye it surprised me as well, a potential reason is it took a lot of graft to get us safe as since most the squad lacks in quality they had to graft like fuck and we’ve seen a bit of a hangover effect since we got to safety. It’s still shite to see that sort of drop off and shite to watch but I’m happy with what the squad achieved and just really hope Benitez is allowed to build on his stellar work. When you see how much Gayle, Perez, and Joselu struggle at this level it makes it all the more impressive that Rafa has managed to make it work and drag us over the line. I love seeing other fan bases point and say when it goes wrong we blame Ashley but when it’s going right we praise Rafa, as it’s not contradictory at all, Benitez has done this severely hampered by Ashley if we’d have went into the season with any sort of quality up top we’d have been well clear all season. -
Leicester fan in peace about 24 hours after Rafa is linked with that job, right to the Rafa thread on a NUFC forum, and by the 3rd post is bringing up the link

Inter 2-1 up and down to 10 men against Juve, if this stays the same Napoli’s match against Fiorentina tomorrow is going to be a belter. Fucking hell, Juve get two in about 3 minutes to make it 2-3. Puts Juve 4 points clear, I’d like to see Napoli do it but it’s looking slim after that turn around.
