  1. Aye, I like Ritchie and his work ethic is brilliant but if Rafa can get Townsend playing anything like he did for those games before we went down it’s an upgrade. Kenedy would be class to get. My only real reservation on this is if the prices being quoted are true we’d be breaking our transfer record twice in one window.
  2. The first thread is interesting, most actually still rate him despite us signing him which is extremely rare. Maybe he’s better than I first thought. That one bloke saying he worried it was them signing Ki and that he wouldn’t have him in the Sunderland squad for next season is a thick cunt.
  3. I was thinking similar, when they were talking about Son’s they said it’s 21 months before 28 and Ki is 29, maybe he has an exemption?
  4. Interesting, I guess other than Diame we don’t really have anyone that’s a bit more defensive. I may be being harsh on Hayden but I’ve written him off at this level tbh. Also, has the kit Ki is pictured in been actually unveiled yet?
  5. He was Sunderlands best player a few years back, not that that says much. He seems a bit of a sideways passer type CM from what I’ve seen, as others have said if he’s replacing Merino as cover that’s fine but he doesn’t improve the team iyam.
  6. Not sure if it’s been mentioned but we’ve been linked to Stefano Sturaro: https://www.themag.co.uk/2018/06/newcastle-united-offer-12m-for-stefano-sturaro-report/ I don’t think it’s been from anywhere credible mind. Only worth posting as there’s been next to nowt other than Ritchie, Gayle, Mbemba all leaving rumours.
  7. Aye Puma are wank, they’ve managed to make AC Milan’s kit look shite. I suppose cheap looking is what you make when your main market and demographic is tracksuits for Russian blokes.
  8. I think my favorite part of that is I can’t remember a single person on here rating him in anyway. Fwiw I think he’s shite and always have but my major gripe with him is he’s basically a shot stopper, he has no command of his area, and doesn’t seem to hold onto anything. I think Southgate is picking him purely as he seems more comfortable passing to the defenders but I’d feel far more comfortable with Butland or Pope in goal.
  9. That sums it up for me tbh. The game told us nothing really aside from displaying why Delph shouldn’t be in the squad (as a CM especially). It was a shame to see Vardy be a bit anonymous, but to be fair a delph and Dier central midfield was a bit plodding. I found it odd that Alexander Arnold took all of the set pieces, his delivery was fucking wank imo even though the commentators here kept highlighting it as being good. I assume it was because he was filling in for Trippier and Gareth was phoning it in so much he couldn’t even be arsed to change the tactic of the right back taking the set pieces. I’ve mentioned him multiple times and I know the result didn’t matter but Delph shooting from ridiculous distances was becoming fucking annoying. It’s also very difficult to get excited for England when you go on social media after a meaningless 1-0 loss between two second strings played at a snails pace and you’re reminded of what a bunch of mugs a large portion of England fans are. Moaning about the players, Southgate, and probably Raheem Sterling is at fault for everything. Special mention for Batshuayi missing the goal from about 2 inches out, kicking it into the post and off his head after they scored the fucking tit. Seeing Martinez’s celebration of the goal was a nice reminder that he’s a little fucking slug.
  10. Aye it’d make no sense at all. We bought him for around that price anyway so it’d only be a £1M-2M profit on a player who seems integral to the squad, and is among the better players we have. To improve on him would cost far more than £15M. I also doubt he’d drop to the Championship unless he was told he wouldn’t be playing and they were his only options, but I’d have doubts about both those. He did more than enough last season alone to show he’s a PL level player.
  11. The thing that bothers me about it is the same cunts have been trying to derail this England team since before the tournament started.
  12. That open letter is just fucking embarrassing, little doubt that town of drips are lapping it up. They’re also nowhere near being the biggest club in league one history, deluded cunts.
  13. The mackems think this pair are backed by a billionaire who will plunge a load of money into them? Not a fucking chance.
  14. Spot on, that’s why selling someone like Merino is pointless. Once you factor in those things Ashley’s formula would have us with about £4M of the £12M quoted to spend to replace him at break even. Of course his little formula won’t take into account the fact we wouldn’t be paying the outgoing players wages anymore...
  15. Agreed, you have to play to the whistle moan if it goes in but as you say if either Loftus Cheek or Henderson had just continued their runs back there was no hope of us conceding. The way it seems to be working out I’d happily come 2nd to Belgium mind.
  16. Shame to give this fucking disgrace of a team a moment to celebrate. Theres another rugby tackle on Maguire by a bloke on a yellow card. They should have about 9 men at this point.
  17. When harry scores we roar
  18. I’m glad we are giving these a good hiding, they’re a fucking disgrace tbh. That big bloke at the back is just acting like some Charva. They’re not even trying to play the ball on corners and have been swinging elbows since kick off. Really letting themselves down here. Good on the England lot though, just being ruthless. I think the second half could get really fucking nasty mind.
  19. Son is a quality player. Never seems to get the attention some of the other players at Spurs do but he’s brilliant.
  20. Good to see Mexico looking good tbh. That Lozano will probably get a move off the back of this, iirc he had a good season at PSV as well.
  21. Spot on, didn’t De Bruyne have a bit of a dig at his tactics a while back? The Niagolan thing is mental, it seems to come down to either Martinez doesn’t know how to manage him and has just opted to avoid that, or it’s a control freak thing since Niangolan basically told him to go whistle when Martinez told him to knock the tabs on the head. It’s a shame as Niangolan is class to watch.
  22. Aye, it’ll be interesting to see if Martinez does something like that. Since I think Martinez is a bit of a mug I hope he’s as tactically inflexible as I think he is and he persists with Carrasco there. Two cracking finishes by Lukaku btw.
  23. Having Carrasco playing left back is surely going to get exploited once they play someone decent as well.
  24. Tbh I’d love us to get him, he’s got a lot of quality when on the ball and we’ve seen the work rate Rafa can pull out of players who have traditionally lacked in that area. He is a little cunt, but he’s the sort of cunt where you’d appreciate it if he was playing for your team imo. With all that said aren’t Liverpool in for him? If that’s the case there’s fuck all chance he’d take Ashley’s offer of a tenner a week.
