Agreed, you have to play to the whistle moan if it goes in but as you say if either Loftus Cheek or Henderson had just continued their runs back there was no hope of us conceding. The way it seems to be working out I’d happily come 2nd to Belgium mind.
-
Shame to give this fucking disgrace of a team a moment to celebrate. Theres another rugby tackle on Maguire by a bloke on a yellow card. They should have about 9 men at this point.

I’m glad we are giving these a good hiding, they’re a fucking disgrace tbh. That big bloke at the back is just acting like some Charva. They’re not even trying to play the ball on corners and have been swinging elbows since kick off. Really letting themselves down here. Good on the England lot though, just being ruthless. I think the second half could get really fucking nasty mind.
-
Son is a quality player. Never seems to get the attention some of the other players at Spurs do but he’s brilliant.
-
Good to see Mexico looking good tbh. That Lozano will probably get a move off the back of this, iirc he had a good season at PSV as well.
-
Spot on, didn’t De Bruyne have a bit of a dig at his tactics a while back? The Niagolan thing is mental, it seems to come down to either Martinez doesn’t know how to manage him and has just opted to avoid that, or it’s a control freak thing since Niangolan basically told him to go whistle when Martinez told him to knock the tabs on the head. It’s a shame as Niangolan is class to watch.
-
Aye, it’ll be interesting to see if Martinez does something like that. Since I think Martinez is a bit of a mug I hope he’s as tactically inflexible as I think he is and he persists with Carrasco there. Two cracking finishes by Lukaku btw.
-
Having Carrasco playing left back is surely going to get exploited once they play someone decent as well.

Tbh I’d love us to get him, he’s got a lot of quality when on the ball and we’ve seen the work rate Rafa can pull out of players who have traditionally lacked in that area. He is a little cunt, but he’s the sort of cunt where you’d appreciate it if he was playing for your team imo. With all that said aren’t Liverpool in for him? If that’s the case there’s fuck all chance he’d take Ashley’s offer of a tenner a week. -
Iirc he’s a millionaire, albeit worth a lot more than tweedle dee and tweedle dick, his father in law is the billionaire. He failed to take over Oxford so that would make me question how much commitment he would really want to have Sunderland. It looks to me like a vanity thing on his part, so he can say he part owns a football club, aye it’s a shite one but so is Oxford and it’d let him brag about it at his millionaire eyes wide shut style orgies.

That club taking a short term loan has never been a problem in the past... The difference is that these two won’t be able to pay it all off like the last tit did.
-
Potentially more financial punishment over that bloke who never even played for them. What a total shambles of a club they are, now these two absolute fucking chancers are clearly making a hash of it as well. I’ve said it before but the Mackems have some brass neck calling us deluded while they rate their club as having any potential to do anything. It’s a bag of shite, in a bin full of shite, set on fire of a club.
-
Quality two touches by Jorgensen to set him up as well.

Fucking deadline watch again man. -
Debby will be so happy after that. Be interesting to hear how the Annuals react to that.
-
Aye, it’s no shock to see the usual suspects talking absolute nonsense. That was a good performance by England, we missed a lot of easy chances but that doesn’t mean we didn’t deserve to win, the reason we had so many to miss is because we dominated the match and carved out a lot of good chances. The ref was shite imo, it reminded me of when we played Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship and they just continuously fouled and the ref didn’t book anyone to make them pack it in. The penalty decisions were abysmal as well. Overall a good opening match and it’s the most confident and impressive England display at a World Cup for fucking donkeys. Just have to beat Panama now and we’re through in all likelihood which is a great way to start off.
-
Aye I’d be pleased to see us get out the group with a bit of comfort. I can see us getting to the QF provided the team don’t become terrified like they have in past tournaments. As much as I don’t rate Southgate he is at least using his experience of being at a tournament to good use. He is making a real effort to have a good mood among the squad and it seems a fairly relaxed atmosphere. I think it was good that he cut his squad to 23 earlier than past England managers as well.
-
Neymar got a right kicking in that match. Thought it was a canny match overall mind, been a good tournament so far only a few stinkers imo. Really enjoyed the Germany v Mexico match, that Lozano will get a big move off the back of this tournament if he keeps it up.

I think at this point we don’t need to come up with a why as to why Ashley is doing something. The fat cunt has proven time and again he’ll just do whatever the fuck he fancies often for reasons only he knows. I’m still pretty comfortable in thinking the accounts have been displayed in a way that suits his argument that the club has nowt to spend. It’s utter fucking shite, there’s absolutely no way our wage bill increased by £40M in the time frame covered by the accounts. Fucking tin pot clubs like Brighton, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, etc all outspend us I know Bournemouth have been in the PL for a while but even when we had been in it a for a few consecutive years under this fat joke it’s not like we were spending like they have at times, iirc Bournemouth have two players which cost more than our transfer record. I agree with what Alex is saying, when we were promoted it was hinted at that the first season would be tight and we had to absorb the season in the Championship then be stronger the following summer. We are now in that summer and he’s using the same fucking excuse as to why we can’t spend much, it’s fucking nonsense. It’s a real shame as Benitez is brilliant, it’s just we got him when owned by this twat. Until Ashley leaves we’ll accomplish absolutely nothing, he’s literally looking at the miracle job Rafa did last season and thinking ‘he can do that again’ in the hope the clubs coffers swell a bit more. -
He seems to be really drawn to dictators, he would really fancy being in a similar situation himself iyam. Iirc during the campaign he said something about how Putin didn’t have to deal with bureaucratic red tape and seemed genuinely pissed off that he’d have to deal with it when he became president. He’s also regularly cried about any form of opposition, manipulated the news as much as he possibly can, and intentionally sped bills through the houses to stop the opposition having much chance to read them.

It’s a fucking mental situation. While it would be good to get a player from this Ashley will probably ignore his “transfer fee and wages are the cost” shite and just baulk at the increased wage. -
Genuinely didn’t see that, I also missed the dilapidated looking chippy in the bottom left. I’m also not entirely convinced the seagull was in one of the pictures, I think they added that in.
-
This is class btw, the crap photoshopping, the random mini that’s just put in there (had to be the PROPER one, none of that BMW foreign muck), you can almost imagine the inner workings of the decisions on what to put in, the fucking red arrows ffs . Potentially the best part of this front page for me is the inclusion of the shard. What better way to rally the Brexit voters than to put up that iconic BRITISH symbol? One that’s nearly wholly owned by Qatar and full of private equity firms and banks. Special mention for the two differing prices on the page, one of which they use to have a dig at the Mirror. The more I look at it the better it gets, there’s a picture of some sheep in there when you think of things that make Britain good sheep aren’t top of the list.
-
It’s almost as if the erratic, needlessly provocative, and rushed work with an inattention to detail that’s displayed at a domestic level is how he operates on the world stage. The bloke is a complete shambles. I still can’t move past the fact he doesn’t own a suit that fits, what’s even funnier about that is his often loose sleeves make his tiny little baby hands look even more minuscule.
