He’s fucking hopeless.

It has been enjoyable aye, the fact that the two teams are fucking light years apart has fucking ruined them. We have a CM of two Brazil internationals and an Italian international, whereas they have Luke O’Nein so to make up for it they’re wanking off about a bunch of pit yackers supporting them.

What a bunch of fucking weirdos they are on RTG. They’re the best, and/or classiest at anything that is impossible to measure or check.

I fancy us for this one tbh, I don’t like Brighton and think they’ve always been completely overrated. Their midfield is absolutely tiny so I fancy ours to control the midfield. I also feel De Zerbi while he’s done well has benefitted from the way Potter had their team well drilled defensively, just he then improved the attack by being more open - over time they are losing that strong defense (similarly to Pardew following Hughton). I’ve grown tired of the disrespect Howe and the team get when De Zerbi and his Brighton team, and Good ebening and his Villa team get more credit, so I’m hoping we annihilate them in the same way we pumped Villa. Hoping this is when Hall gets a start but I am really thinking Howe will hold him back until after the international break.

NUFC twitter will be queuing round the block to post “Good servant, sad to see him go, he could have done a job”. Sadly no money in but at least it’s some wages off the books.

I feel like we’re in a bit of a transition phase, teams are starting to respect us more and get pinned back by us and we’re still trying to strike the balance between exerting pressure and overstretching a little, which partly shows in that we’ve only had 2 clean sheets in our last 20 games iirc. Both their goals came from Nunez isolating his man which was brutal enough at 1-0 up but at 1-1 in the 90+ minute he shouldn’t have been allowed that. As much as I like Burn it really unbalances us at times as most our attacks generate down Trippiers flank, I’m hoping Hall gives us a lot more balance in terms of our attacks as despite our left side being the hot hand yesterday we still couldn’t get Gordon on the ball as much as he probably should have been. I also don’t love Bruno in the 6 role, I feel it takes away a lot of the positives of his game and he’s shown signs of forcing things a bit recently. The issue is we don’t really have any true alternative at the moment. Overall I’m just glad to get these two fixtures out the fucking way, I think we will see a big reaction against Brighton. Pep aimed to pack the midfield to stifle us, and Klopp tried to avoid the CM as they know it’s a strength for us, I don’t think we will be up against many sides able to avoid it like that for the rest of the season and if they do they won’t have the quality to also score goals while doing it, we definitely will not face many managers that will out tactic Howe. I thought Szoboszlai’s pressing was brilliant all day, again something we won’t have to deal with much. I’m positive overall as I think the game against Villa is a better indicator of what we are about and what we will do to teams rather than these last two games. Yesterday they threw 5 different forwards at us, all of which cost upwards of £40m, they also had a CM that cost in excess of £150m, of course many of us would back some of our players over theirs but the reality is there’s still a gulf in funding and quality in the two sides.

Also seems completely frivolous so isn’t worth them all getting excited for, not that it stops those paedophile lovers day dreaming about our definitely shit, uninterested owners getting removed by a governing body that has absolutely no power to do so.

Trying to argue it wasn’t a red card by citing the rule about penalties the total fucking muppets. How the fuck is anyone arguing this? They keep saying he played the ball as if that has anything to do with whether it’s a red or not
-
I mean you have to laugh really, it’s just absurd and the press won’t call him out for it at all. It was a clear red just accept it and move on. That’s the thing with those cunts though, they’re adamant that nothing they do is wrong to such a point the press accept it. I’ve even seen Liverpool fans posting the rule about if its not intentional then it’s a yellow but they completely ignore that the rule is in regards to penalties.

I do agree many were poor today, Bruno for example dropped a number of clangers one which ultimately led to the winner. I agree it isn’t about single players, but Almiron is letting us down a ton and as I mention it’s been this way for most of 2023. I disagree he was decent even outside of his poor shooting, there were numerous times he was in good positions with the ball and completely fucked the pass up, his over hit pass to Longstaff who had broke down the right and the time he was clear in behind the Liverpool line in the first half and ultimately didn’t even manage to create a half chance. As I say he’s not the only reason for the result today but the way he consistently ruins our attacking moves is really becoming an issue, it made our CL push tighter than it needed to be last season at the end, and it’s been partly to blame for these last two (thankfully we clobbered Villa as he was rubbish in that one as well). The difference with all the other players mentioned is they’re capable of more, whereas Almiron is always this way unless he scores, he had been for years before that 4 month purple patch and has resorted to type since. His work rate is brilliant and he has aspects to his game that would have me keep him in the squad but he needs to lose this undroppable position Howe has him in now. Agree that the response is important. Hopefully Howe learns from those horrendous sub choices, and I do think now these two are out the way we can start to play our way rather than seeming nervous.
-
His hitting the woodwork is his fucking inaccuracy. He’s back to what he was before his purple patch, nothing but a worker that harries the opposition. It’s really fucking time we figured out how to drop him from the line up as it’s ruining our attack every week now. Positive thing is these two fucking games are out the way, hopefully we can start to perform now.
