Just saw the goals, he was a bit fortunate but I’m glad Longstaff scored, Roberts finish was good. Sounds like they both played fairly well too, hopefully they both can make the step up to offset Ashley’s penny pinching. Ashley is anti-football, he’s taking what should be a proud and good sized club and running it into the ground for his own pocket, he’s sold off land assets, he’s stripped the clubs playing staff assets, he’s refused to take care of stadium and training facilities, and for the “he’s took the club out of debt” argument he’s simply moved the debt to himself and will ask the club for it back when time comes, I’m also far from convinced £120m or so debt for a PL club would have proved to be some issue that would have seen us end up like Leeds or Pompey, it’s also somehow growing despite the years of PL money and the reduction in player spending (wages & profits on transfers). Fucking shameful stuff from Ferdinand.

It’s no surprise you don’t want to be in the PL, your club has the most shameful moment in the history of the division attributed to it. So it’s probably best you stay out of it. Aye like ewerk said there’s no way the PL would allow that to happen, it would severely impact the TV rights. I watched the documentary and despite the Mackem doc makers trying so hard portray them in a good light it was still fucking hilarious from start to finish. What a fucking shite club they are. The new owners come across like a right pair of cunts. Was nice to see Coleman living in Tynemouth Funnily enough the bloke that I ended up feeling somewhat bad for was Rodwell they were basically trying to bully him out of the club, they basically threw the kid to the wolves and tried to make him a lightening rod for all their issues. Bain wanting Rodwell to agree to just tear the contract up to do the club a favor since the club were struggling while Bain is sat there with a Patek Philippe watch on was a highlight.

I love that this keeps popping up. Why does Ashley (or Bishop) want to try and make people think that’s the case?
