My worry was that after this run of games against most of the top sides we’d be getting cut adrift. We’ve come out the other side 5 points clear of the bottom 3 (depending on Cardiff’s game), I’m feeling a lot more confident we will stay up tbh.

That owner doesn’t have the money to bankroll them out the Championship, they’re not a draw TV wise, and sell their tickets for cheap. If they did manage to get promoted they’ll be Championship relegation fodder. The two carpet baggers are just hoping they can get to the Championship and sell for a profit imo, the Will Grigg purchase was them gambling on trying to get back. If it doesn’t work I think they’ll have to cost cut even more and will end up mid table League One. Its got the potential to be fucking hilarious.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a non argument really as those players we had in the Championship are by and large the ones we have keeping us in the PL. While they’re not great, and a club with a proper owner would have improved, they’re better in the PL than Will Grigg is in the Championship. We definitely aren’t saddled with them either tbh, Gayle, Ritchie etc could all be sold for similar amounts they were bought, and we offloaded a lot of the squad players like Hanley etc. Its not like mackems to talk absolute twaddle though is it?

Aye Andrew is spot on. It’s taken him refusing to sign a deal and basically hinting at walking to get Ashley to do anything, and even then it was done in the final day of the window and he’s taken a loan to cover it in order to further pretend the club has no money (either that or as Isegrim and others have hinted the money has left the club in other ways). Ashley has clearly shown he doesn’t have a shred of ambition to Rafa, there’s no coming back from that imo.

Aye I think that’s bollocks about Ritchie. The player wanting a move away is Shelvey, apparently he was confident and wanted a break clause put in his lease and the homeowner agreed as long as it could be activated by both. Doesn’t look like he got his move and apparently the person he’s renting off activated the break clause as they wanted him out anyway. Could be bollocks but it’s just what I heard.

Good. As Rayvin has mentioned it’s took Rafa hinting he’ll be leaving and even the Ashley has waited until the last minute just to get a couple of player ffs. The commentator on this is an arsehole yet again, first saying De Bruyne shouldn’t have been sent off when even Guardiola was angered by him making a rash tackle and promptly subbed him off. He then clearly wanted to say Perez should have been sent off, caught himself then justified it by saying Perez’s tackle was more cynical . Finally he then said the ref should have played advantage rather than giving a pen, aye it’d definitely have been more to our advantage to have our striker with a shot at a narrow angle on goal while being closed down by a keeper with a man covering behind than it would having a pen. What a tit, it makes results like this all the sweeter knowing little ‘big club’ brown nosers like that are fuming.

Still if it’s true it’s papering over massive cracks and has taken a protest, possible cancellation of season tickets and the manager possibly walking away to get a few signings in. Ridiculous

Aye that’s the rumour. I’m almost at the point where sadly I’d like to see it happen, it would basically cement relegation for this year which would save us having to watch Phil Brown or whoever take us down. It might then cut that year off Ashley’s ownership if after being a Championship side for a bit he cuts his losses and fucks off. That’s about my only reason though, I now can’t see him ever selling us while we are a Premier League side. What a nightmare of a bloke for making NUFC borderline intolerable to support and have me almost wishing one of our best managers ever would leave.

He’s trying his best to be diplomatic imo, he doesn’t want to rile the fat cunt up and have zero chance of any signings, our chances are slim enough. Everyone knows the craic here so Benitez coming out and saying “the bloke that owns the club is a whopper, and his penfold looking minion doesn’t know his arse from his elbow” doesn’t really do anything. He can save that for his book one day.

Hit the nail on the head there. Add to that a buyer will have to put a lot of cash into areas like the training facilities, as by all accounts it’s had very little investment under bitch tits reign.

Looking forward to the summer when Ashley and his little stooges are all shocked Benitez has left. Articles come out about how they’d based all their plans on giving him a new contract but he’s walked out on them and now they have to start a manager search. We’re down this season or next season, when we do go down we’ll not be going back up. Hopefully it’s the thing that gets rid of him, I’d say it’d be nice to see him lose money but he’s been siphoning assets out of the club for 10 years so he’d likely still break even at least.

You have to laugh really. Only Ashley would balk at 500k for a talented young prospect.
