  1. I had completely forgotten we had Rivière . Joselu is definitely up there with the worst stikers we’ve had, in fact I’d say he’s close to being as shit as some of what Sunderland would consider their ok stikers over the years.
  2. They really are a desperate bunch RTG will be buzzing about that.
  3. He’s been pushing to be away since the end of last season. He can’t be arsed to muster much above walking pace for the vast majority of games which can quite often cost us goals, while his passing can be an asset he can quite often get caught up in trying the spectacular ball over and over, and when he’s having a bad game he can be prone to lashing out stupidly seeing us reduced to 10 men. He can be a good player but he’s another in a long line of having the quality but not the professional attitude imo. I definitely would prefer Longstaff over him in the side, the kid has high potential, is hungry to prove himself, and wants to be at the club, Shelvey could potentially play next to Longstaff but I think you’d need to play them in a 3 as Shelvey is a lazy prick. The final bit for me is that I hear he is an absolute cunt of a bloke away from the pitch as well. If we could rip a team of overpayers like West Ham off for him and spend it replacing him I’d be chuffed (I know the second bit is unlikely). As Andrew says we have looked best this season when he’s not been around the side which says a lot.
  4. I’m sure he’d find something. “Not sure about this Aguero fella sure he scored 5 goals but could have had 6, if he had we’d have +89 gd instead it’s now +88. I still don’t know why Pep subs on Mahrez.”
  5. Which is allegedly what happened with the group that bought Man City. He went, spent half the time pissed and obnoxious, then kept moving the goalposts so they went and bought Man City instead. Could have spent the last 10 year watching David Silva instead of Jack Colback and Diame, we should absolutely be thanking Ashley though as he let the club spend a bit of what it brought in last time we got relegated due to his fucking about.
  6. Agreed, sadly the only way I think we will get shot of him is relegation and a few years in the Championship. Quite honestly when Rafa leaves we will go down imo, the only thing is he’ll then allow the club to buy players to get back to the PL and then talk about how much we lost because of that. What a cunt man.
  7. Fuck sake, I guess the hope now is that Shelvey will be back and (if he had any brain at all) be determined to prove himself since Longstaff has done enough from what I’ve seen to push him out the starting line up. I’d still rather Longstaff be fit and playing though.
  8. Aguero has been wank since he come on.
  9. What I have liked about him most is that he isn’t against just playing the easy ball. When I first saw him I was worried he would be the type that would try and dribble it past everyone all the time but he’s quite happy to just play the 5 yard pass back to Hayden if he doesn’t think the move is on.
  10. Why does Diame think he should shoot every time he got the ball near the box? Every other player was trying to play someone in, meanwhile every time it came to Diame he was trying to shoot despite being probably the least likely to score.
  11. Agreed, taking Longstaff off is disappointing but it was the right move with the way the ref has been officiating. That sums Ayoze up there, massively frustrating player. He has good movement and is very often in really good positions but then his end product lets him down.
  12. The bubble thing is tragic btw. What a club of fucking whoppers.
  13. Poor half that. We’re losing the battle in CM, Rice, Noble, and Lanzini are crowding out Longstaff and Hayden, I’d like to see Schar step out of defense a bit more to keep their 3 a bit further out.
  14. Fucking daft tackle that by Lejuene
  15. Agreed, he has no intention of getting the ball it was a clear “put on one him” type of challenge. Aye was a brilliant pass from Longstaff who has been pretty unfairly booked imo, both players went into the challenge the same way.
  16. Aye, on the replay he watches as the ball is kicked and then goes through the back of Almiron. Always been a cunt of a player.
  17. Shite defending on the set piece, shame as we’d looked pretty lively in the first 5 minutes.
  18. They’re such a fucking hateful bunch. Really unpleasant the way they go on about people tbh, it’s only football ffs.
  19. Those quotes make absolutely no sense. People can’t just keep saying well he’s really rich so must be really smart, it means nothing at all when his running of the club is this brutal. The Pardew bit is gibberish and then he says the squad needs massive investment, so what exactly is good about him Roeder? The “well they could have a worse owner” is a ridiculous point as well, if I break my foot someone coming over and saying “well there are people who have lost a leg” doesn’t console me in any way, I’m still in pain, and in any case there are people out there without broken feet, so why does the positive side of that argument not get considered by people that come out with drivel like Roeder has there?
  20. Plus coaching from the King and McClaren.
  21. The book’s called a lifetime obsession, that applies nicely to the whole of Sunderland towards Newcastle. You’d think they’d love it.
  22. Aye, I agree with that. Just protecting my main man Yoann.
  23. Gouffran was better than Atsu imo although it could just be the passing of time making him seem a little better, I just remember him becoming quite competent towards the end of his spell with us. Atsu is a Championship player tbh, good pro and by all accounts a nice bloke but doesn’t pick his head up and look where his teammates are when he’s on the ball. I agree with AH that he improves when he starts a run of games though.
  24. Created 6 chances against Huddersfield, the most by any Newcastle player in a game since our recent promotion. Couple that with the pace needed to keep defenses deeper and we’ve got a canny player.
  25. Spot on, it was obvious as fuck what they were doing. Immediately falling over under any contact and just lumping long balls to Crouch. They forgot that Peter Crouch is 38 and was never really that good
