Aye, on the replay he watches as the ball is kicked and then goes through the back of Almiron. Always been a cunt of a player.
-
Shite defending on the set piece, shame as we’d looked pretty lively in the first 5 minutes.
-
They’re such a fucking hateful bunch. Really unpleasant the way they go on about people tbh, it’s only football ffs.
-
Those quotes make absolutely no sense. People can’t just keep saying well he’s really rich so must be really smart, it means nothing at all when his running of the club is this brutal. The Pardew bit is gibberish and then he says the squad needs massive investment, so what exactly is good about him Roeder? The “well they could have a worse owner” is a ridiculous point as well, if I break my foot someone coming over and saying “well there are people who have lost a leg” doesn’t console me in any way, I’m still in pain, and in any case there are people out there without broken feet, so why does the positive side of that argument not get considered by people that come out with drivel like Roeder has there?

Plus coaching from the King and McClaren.
-
The book’s called a lifetime obsession, that applies nicely to the whole of Sunderland towards Newcastle. You’d think they’d love it.
-
Aye, I agree with that. Just protecting my main man Yoann.
-
Gouffran was better than Atsu imo although it could just be the passing of time making him seem a little better, I just remember him becoming quite competent towards the end of his spell with us. Atsu is a Championship player tbh, good pro and by all accounts a nice bloke but doesn’t pick his head up and look where his teammates are when he’s on the ball. I agree with AH that he improves when he starts a run of games though.

Created 6 chances against Huddersfield, the most by any Newcastle player in a game since our recent promotion. Couple that with the pace needed to keep defenses deeper and we’ve got a canny player.
-
Spot on, it was obvious as fuck what they were doing. Immediately falling over under any contact and just lumping long balls to Crouch. They forgot that Peter Crouch is 38 and was never really that good
-
Further evidence of Wolves being overrated to fuck tonight. Fancy losing to that shower
-
Expect the mackems to try and sign Adam “ah wish ah’d bucked her” Johnson, mackems to further shame themselves with a re-do of a “well she was almost 16”.
-
They’ll have rushed home from their long day of drinking cans at the kids park to watch Newcastle United. Rooting for Burnley the whole way, every Newcastle player is complete shite, that new lad is invisible his pass to Ritchie helped set up the second goal but he’s shite and didn’t do anything. Honestly man they need to get a grip. I’ve seen maybe one Sunderland game in three years. Why are they watching us? Especially in such a pathetically blinkered way, they just keep calling Longstaff shite for example meanwhile he’s getting pretty universal praise from pundits. But aye Duncan Watmore plugging away doing naff all against League One defenders is way better.
-
Aye I don’t rate the lad but I’ve no idea why Noelie is complaining about him tonight, Manquillo was solid and kept their young winger quiet first half and Robbie Brady who can be awkward quiet 2nd half. Cracking, dominant performance that. By far the better side in every department today. I thought Schar, Dubravka and Hayden had really good games, Longstaff was impressive again. Quite honestly everyone played well tonight. Almiron and Perez really stretch the field and look difficult to play against, although his movement was good Perez is a pretty frustrating player to watch, he gets in really good positions and has the vision to try some really good passes but he quite often misplaced the final ball. As as exciting as Almiron is getting Lejeune back and the emergence of Longstaff has been massive for us. If this is Longstaffs level I’d be happy to see Shelvey go in the summer. Special word for Tarkowski today btw, what a cunt he is, whiney, and dirty throughout. That stamp action towards Joselu was distasteful imo so I’ll be rooting against him getting further England caps from now on. Also great to see Crouch come on and do absolutely fucking nothing besides pull a bunch of people’s shirts, put in a nasty frustrated kick on Schar then put his elbow across Diame, personally think he deserved a second yellow but not worried since he was shite anyway. The worst part is for all this positivity we still have Ashley as owner . Robbie Earle’s post match comments were actually cracking “it shouldn’t be a top 6 it should be a top 7 including Newcastle, for a manager to be at Newcastle United and for it to be a question that he might consider going to Leicester sums it all up really, that shouldn’t happen. If this club was even 25% correctly run they’d be up there”.

It’s mental he’s still going with this. Especially with clutching at straw wum attempts after a win.
-
That was fucking mental I mean it was great for me watching as I hate Chelsea but if I supported them I’d be fuming with Kepa. Big decision for Abramovic, imo he has to stand by Sarri if he ever wants this short termism to end at Chelsea as it’s clear some of the players there think they can choose when the manager goes (and tbh they’ve been basically allowed to). Still can’t believe he just stood there wagging his finger at Sarri if he starts next week Sarri has rocks in his head. They never put the board up though did they? As if they had he would have had to go off or face getting carded surely?

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread 2018 -2019
Howay replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye he has 4 goals in the German Bundesliga, I know he’s young but that would be an astronomical fee. -
Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
Howay replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye, it’s absolutely mental when you look at Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal tallies. A 1 in 2 record is traditionally seen as prolific, meanwhile those two are averaging a goal a game or better -
Really impressed by Almiron. His pace is ridiculous and I like how direct he is, some of his passes to Perez should have resulted in goals.
-
He’d not get close anymore for me. He was a lazy cunt and has been pushing for a move since last summer.
-
It’ll be good to see Huddersfield out the PL. without doubt one of the dullest sides to ever bore the league.
-
Horrible challenge on Almiron that by a rotten side. I think they’ve been told to target him tbh and whoever the fuck Tommy Smith is was too rash to carry out the “put one on him” by generic Dortmund reserve manager #2
-
Well Almiron definitely has confidence would have been fucking class if that went in
-
It would be nice if our lot would pack in just fucking hoofing it whenever it comes near them
-
They really are a special breed. Even that thread quickly turns into digs at NUFC. They’re such a fucking arrogant bunch as well, they’re a boring, bog standard club. They constantly talk about how they’re such a fantastic fan base, yet the club are always offering heavily reduced or even free tickets, afaik they don’t hold any attendance record for any league they’ve been in, and they are very quick to turn on players, managers, etc. Their stadium is a soulless, boring, flat pack shithole in the middle of a car park, miles from anything. Some of the best players they have ever had are Kevin Phillips and Niall Quinn. They’ve played less games in Europe than Bolton Wanderers, Millwall, etc iirc. Yet there is a thread with a decent amount trying to go on about how special they are
