I agree (agree with KCG’s point about the second bidders too btw). The bit in bold in particular was doing my head in reading the chain, all of them including the knacker journo who put that in were acting like it was exactly 10-15 days these things take fucking ages. The group even said they were really hoping to get it done before the end of June, so it not being done in mid June doesn’t give us anything different to worry over than we had originally.

So can we cancel that fucking shambles now and put it somewhere else? Maybe Morocco or whoever it was that lost out on 2026 -
The draw held in Morrisons

Likely, I’m just trying to have some optimism that the fat cretin may finally leave.
-
It makes sense to me tbh, why sign this current offer with all of the uncertainty around the club? The potential new owners may even come in and offer him a higher salary, not a lot of point locking himself into Ashley’s deal.
-
I’ve always tried to stay mildly optimistic about it. I know as you’re saying it is just us winding ourselves up, but if it doesn’t happen, Rafa leaves, and we get the inevitable knacker of Ashley’s choosing in it’ll not be worth bothering to watch, which is a real shame. I also think if this one doesn’t go through, when it seems to have got so far, there’s no chance of bitch tits selling up.

Aye, it’s a £350m deal going through multiple sets of lawyers, as well as three different ways of doing business (the Emirati way, the British way, and the vomiting into a fire place way). On top of all that they’re also going through numerous bureaucratic bodies, namely ones that make a fucking hash of giving, or rescinding, player bans. As others have said, this lot have been vocal throughout, another key point is we’ve heard nothing from Ashley’s side which is different from the Staveley and Kenyon attempts. As Isegrim mentioned, the establishment of the HoldCo is another positive sign, I get it’s not a huge expense but I don’t see why you’d go through those steps before you were feeling confident of a deal.
-
I guess the only thing to hold onto is how vocal BZG have been in the past. I feel if it was completely dead in the water they would have said something.

I mean I know the bloke is a tit but if all of this is true I really don’t get his angle here So he’s going to lose 2/3’s of the strike force that helped keep us in the league (since Ayoze seems pretty intent on leaving), as well as the bloke who drilled a team of very average (at best) players into finishing far higher up the table 2 years running than you could have possibly expected, for what? I mean I know he’s done some daft shite but he’s making similar decisions to ones you would make if you took over Sunderland on FM with the intention of ruining them. Genuinely no idea why he would hold onto NUFC if this is his angle, people can say free advertising all they want but if the offer was of the value it is claimed he’d struggle to make that off a load of hoardings, especially ones shown in the Championship. If all this does happen I’m afraid it’s all time we knocked it on the head lads.
-
There is also a fair possibility that he has no knowledge of what is going on.
-
I’m sure we all would as it generally means you’ve won something else.
-
Threw him in there for the laffles Fair one, it’s a fine reason to not want a manager as he’s going to be the face of the club (one like Jose anyway). It would be worth it to see him take no prisoners on questions about the mackems mind. For player recruitment I think ewerk is right, I think he was blocked from a lot of the players he wanted to sign as Woodward went in for names. I remember seeing somewhere that he wanted Alderwierald in but those above him didn’t want an older player so blocked it. They have made a lot of dreadful signings either way mind

We’ll be okay once wor Khaled buys him Skriniar.
-
Harsh on the Charity shield, it was part of Mourinho’s treble at Man U.
-
Potentially, I just think he seems to do best when he’s basically able to dictate what the players do and give them a hard time. Players like Ronaldo, Pogba, Ramos, Lukaku, Kroos, and Phil Jones probably didn’t put up with it for too long. Whereas young Lampard, Terry, Carvalho, and Drogba bought in and got the success which led to them trusting him. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s somehow useless, but I don’t think the last 3 jobs suited him (Man U and Madrid are what they are and the Chelsea culture has become very volatile with a lot of player power). Again I could be simplifying it but I think he’s a brilliant manager and if we had any hope of getting him and Rafa had left I’d have him here in a heartbeat.

He’s a good stopper, mad fee for him but I suppose he has a decent length of time on his deal and Manchester United are a bit of a disaster at CB since Bailly is injured all the time and Lindelof isn’t making the jump. The chuckle brothers just re-signed though so that’ll help them.... -
imo Jose thrives when he’s the centre of it all and is able to build the side. Like when he was at Chelsea, Inter, and Porto. Madrid and Manchester United didn’t suit him as they’re clubs that are far bigger than his status in the game (I know Porto were since he was starting out but the players were also smaller names at the time). If he come into a team with the players we have, and was able to bring in the players he wanted they’d be listening and taking in his instructions. It’s kind of like how Ronaldo didn’t want to listen to Benitez telling him what to do.
-
I like the news sources that are congratulating Ronaldo on the second major trophy of his international career the league cup of international trophies, and even that is being kind. I would still have loved England to win it mind.

A Julian Assange destroy and exit if you will.

VW remote controlled car delivering the ball to the centre circle, the game’s gone.

Aye, I don’t mind the idea of VAR but it’s current use and implementation is shite. As you both say it kills a good bit of the excitement of a goal, the camera immediately cuts to the ref with his finger in his ear. As AH says it looks worse in slow motion, Wilson outmuscled that defender who was trying to do the same to him from what I could tell. The Lingard offside against Holland was a load of shite as well, the front of his foot was past the right back but what’s the advantage really gained from that? I suppose that’s probably more an issue with the offside rule more than VAR but if you need minutes to view of something is offside it’s likely a harsh decision to give as an offside. Btw, a 3rd place game is pointless enough do we really need extra time for this? just go to pens ffs.

From what I saw Sholas role is to find loan moves for our youth players, and monitor to make sure they’re getting an good opportunity.

It is class that they were getting quite a lot of compliments from people for the takeover coverage (mainly Mark Douglas but people did sometimes generalize as the Ronny Gill), as they got that email from BZG and were at least trying to dig some real info up. Since all they they’ve spat out a rehashed version of the same stories every day, while they retweet it back out with a different tweet making it seem new, and any time anyone mentions that it’s all clickbait they get pissed off. -
I’ve seen some on twitter that care more about keeping Rafa than getting rid of Ashley, it’s a stance I think is completely idiotic imo (I know you didn’t say all the fans, I’m just using your post to have a pop at these type of people). As much as I like Rafa we’re going nowhere with him if Ashley remains, he’s the best we can ever hope for under the fat cunt but we still won’t ever be allowed to progress. Fwiw I think the potential new owners would keep Rafa. If they did buy the club and if they did choose to appoint Jose I think it’d be a quality appointment (as much as I’d be sad to see Rafa go), as much of a cunt as Jose is if this lot were to fling the money around it’s the exact job that suits him to the ground. His status in the game is above where we are so he’d be able to dominate every area, like he did at Chelsea and Inter but was unable to do at Manchester Utd and Real Madrid. Again both massive if’s, he also loved Bobby Robson so there’s that connection (if we were mackems he’d be a nailed on MLF with less of a link than that). What is currently happening with the youth system is interesting given the takeover, although could have all been put in place before this. We’ve taken the head of the mackems academy and appointed him as the director, and brought in Shola as loan coordinator.
