They’ve no reason to accept less than the full amount. £2m isn’t going to mean a lot to them so it’s just principle at this point. The fucking fact this has been dragging out for weeks now over a £4m - £5m difference for a PL club in 2019 sums Ashley up What a monumental cunt. He surely knows this is just making relegation even more certain.
-
Tbf it would be fucking hilarious if it happened simply because Bruce has been such a cunt to Sheffield Wednesday. If I wasn’t convinced Bruce was nailed on as the manager Genesio would actually make sense as he’s known for bringing through youth, and giving younger players a platform, which suits Ashley’s ideal model.
-
Tbf even if we got a manager like that it doesn’t change much, there’d still be a drop off from Benitez, and they’d still be underinvesting in the squad. We’d just be getting a manager using us as a stepping stone rather than one using us as a final crack at the PL. The football would be a bit better but would be limited to the shite players of course, we’d probably have more people turn up to games mind.
-
Fucking hell, going off the way he played last season he’s a steal at that price in the current market.
-
Hopefully. I mean they have fuck all to lose now so may as well just be as awkward as possible. What a total fucking cunt Bruce is btw, everything that club did for him when he was having an awful time in his personal life, the boss he’s trying to get wouldn’t have been that empathetic. Are all these arseholes going to keep saying he still deserves our support?
-
Aye depressing really. At least he’s finally shed any pretense so people can stop brushing it off, or pretending he didn’t mean it that way.

Holy shit, so he’s basically just telling AOC to go back to where she came from? What a racist cunt. I’m also fairly sure her family are from Puerto Rico which is annexed by the USA anyway. The best part about her is how much she is getting under these guys skin. It’s staggering that in 2019 a president is saying that, even worse is there’ll be a load agreeing with it.

Spot on (equally in parts hilarious and depressing ), it’s mental this view of being confused by club LEGENDS getting grief for siding with Ashley, if Robson was still alive and him, Keegan, and Shearer all stood proclaiming how brilliant Ashley was I’d still say they’re talking absolute shite. Standing in the game has nothing to do with it, in any case my respect for two extremely limited ex players, and a complete shambles of an ex coach is so low it’s verging on non existent to begin with. Fucking spot on about them idiots saying that shite as well the best are when it becomes a complete circle jerk, one of the others comes to defend their under siege colleague after another complete windup of a tweet, while a bunch of the “U OK hun?” Type winnets comment wanking them both off. I’ve mentioned in the past I’m related to “JC” (through marriage, I quickly add) so I feel I am well within my rights to call him a complete and utter fucking knacker, despite the fact as Pete points out that he’s clearly a massive club legend.
-
Aye it’s mental. There’s no way he can strike lucky a third time we go down. The first time we had a core of decent PL players who stayed and created a strong group mentality, along with Hughton being a competent manager (which was another total fluke as it was basically non-decision on Ashley and co’s part that got him the role), and obviously the second time we had Benitez. This squad is fucking gopping, and you’d expect the ones with any talent (I.e. Schar, Longstaff, Shelvey etc) will be off in a shot upon relegation, and having Steve Bruce at the tail end of his career in place is a move that’ll solidify mid table championship mediocrity imo. I actually hope it all turns out that way tbh, as I’ve mentioned before it’s clear he’s not selling, maybe a few years away from siphoning off the PL money might change his mind. You’re completely right though, it makes absolutely no logical sense at all what he is doing. Even his most cuntish decisions have been grounded in maximizing money, this is literally the most short term version of that possible.

Spot on, you also have to love the undertones to what him and his mate Keith Dowie are doing in their replies. It’s all hinting that the fans are some sort of problem, that the fans are attacking these people who are just trying to bring ‘balance’ to the discussion. Disgraceful stuff. I wish we could all be more organized and we could just start mass unfollowing all these north east journos who are coming out with utter bilge like this. It’s far and away past time for a balanced discussion on this topic now. Journalists like these two who have a platform to help (as best they could) but have instead decided to give people like Ameobi, Carver, etc a platform to pretend there’s a balanced discussion to be had which suggests the rest of us are just being rash and hysterical. I’ve personally unfollowed all of them, the takeover isn’t happening and they’ve all flipped back to starting on the “aren’t these geordies a deluded bunch, Ashley has given them a ‘debt free’ club in the PL why do they think they should be winning the league?” line of the fence, so it’s completely pointless to follow them as they bring nowt to the table, and it starts with exactly this, getting people to say things supporting Ashley, rile everyone up, then attack them for being hysterical. Meanwhile, the club have known since May that Rafa was gone, we’re now in Mid-July and they’re trying to haggle down Steve Bruce’s release clause, while waiting on having a manager in place to sign anyone after selling/not buying most of the best players we had last season despite the fact they’re trying to put a system in place where the manager is more of a head coach and doesn’t say who to sign anyway so aye let’s keep blaming the fans for having a pop at Ameobi and Carver for telling the world Ashley has been good for the club.
-
So he’ll make £1m then, there’s not a chance we’re finishing above 20th let alone above 18th. No wonder no body wants the job, they’re essentially being put in a managerial position that you basically have to engineer to make it this badly positioned, and then you’ll make less than championship managers
-
“Seeing former terrace favorites getting turned on” aye, funnily enough when they come out saying Ashley is a top bloke and is good for that club that’s going to piss people off. If you want to come out and side with Ashley, that’s up to you but then you can expect NUFC fans to be completely against you and simply won’t be seen by the rest as a fan. “Let’s get one thing clear” What a patronizing little worm, you pass on stuff you’ve heard mate, it’s honestly the worst trait of these journalists that they see themselves as having more valid opinions than others. No one can say I want what’s best for the club and praise Ashley, those things are complete polar opposites What a fucking human centipede style chain of fucking arselickers. “JC” ( ), and Ameobi (lost being called Shola now, he’s now against us) are kissing up to fat boy and now little bitches like Pete are kissing up to them two fucking idiots. Then the lot of them get outraged when the fans call them out on it, the lot of them must have fucking rocks in their heads. Gan on then Pete tell us again how the club are “starting to put together information on two potential signings for if they sign a manager” when we are less than a month from the season starting while you try to honestly tell everyone that people defending this bloke want what’s best for the club. Wanker. Oh aye, his last sentence is fucking pathetic as well. It boils down to faux outrage that fans are turning against “terrace favorites” like Ameobi and Nolan, I’m sorry like but them “wearing the shirt with pride” does not absolve them of talking absolute fucking shit and weakening any action made by the fan base in the public view, in fact it has the opposite effect for me, they should get more pelters than most as they should understand what’s going on and what the fans are going through. The massive fact he’s missing as well is they aren’t real favorites, they both did okay but were only at Newcastle (either in the first place, or stayed as long as they did) because we had an ambitious less twat of an owner.
-
The quality part is the media do utter shite like this, and then when they do decide to have a pop at Ashley they wonder why Newcastle fans still have a go at them. They are a disgrace tbh, they should be completely against owners like Ashley as if there were more like him the PL would be fucking dreadful and Sky would lose a ton of potential income. It’s not even worth discussing Carver and Ameobi. Pair of absolute cunts, neither of which would have ever lasted at the club if they weren’t from the north east.
-
If the momentum was a car, this close season they’ve took the tyres off, set the tyres on fire (just to make sure if they’re found they can’t be used), filled the car with Charnley’s shite, followed by Ashley vomiting on the bonnet after a heavy lock in, before they shove the car off the cliff at Tynemouth Priory right into the sea. They also still haven’t found a driver.

Our transfer window is so fucking bleak the Chronicle has decided to run stories on where a player who was released has went
-
Tbf he’s proven he’s more than up to the PL level, and he probably deserves a shot with a club who will actually try to compete. I don’t blame a single one of our players if they want to leave. NUFC is a waste of fucking time.
-
From anything I’ve read about him as a businessman he sounds a complete arsehole. It’s suited him well in the retail world where he’s been able to bully suppliers, especially when his low price model pushed Whelan and JJB to a rough spot. The way he’s done business hasn’t transferred well to the football world as the pool of people is fairly small, and it’s hard to strong arm people as they don’t have to sell to him, they can sell to other clubs and it’s not like he can push out that competition. Saying all that I may be wrong. He’s basically got exactly what he wants, a club that has generally been in the PL and had access to that revenue and advertising potential while throttling the investment in the actual club. This does seem to be a turning point mind and his treatment of Rafa may have been a massive mid step (obviously it’s one from our/a football standpoint) as this 3 year shit housery towards a massively respected manager has seemingly made others take note and they’ve stepped away from NUFC whereas in the past they may have seen it as a possibly stepping stone despite Ashley being a pain. Either way I sincerely hope for the blokes downfall. I’m fucking thrilled members of the SD board are turning on him, and JD sports coming in a cleaning up all the suppliers of the premium level sports wear meaning Ashley’s stores are only left with the bottom tier shite which has also seen JD sports revenue far surpass his bampy chain.

Aye, but then he almost had to pay compo for McLaren, who knocked us back and he was stuck with Carver, who almost got us relegated, which led to him having to spend money when McLaren eventually came, and then we were relegated which the fat bitch has been whinging about since through his various mouth pieces. I just don’t see it being Pardew with that history. I do love that article says Charnley is “trying to drive a hard bargain” when the fuck will these idiots learn you can’t be aggressive from a position of weakness? There is pretty much 3 weeks until Sheffield start their season, why the fuck would they let Bruce go for anything less than his full compensation? If they’re not going to pay it they need to move on, they don’t have the time to be trying to negotiate with a club. It’s also staggering that they’d even bother, to be frank with this squad and the level of manager Bruce is it’s not like he’d manage that many more points than some no mark like Redfearn.

The Secret Diary of Lee Ryder (aged 44 and a half)
Howay replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
Ryder really has his finger on the pulse of the fanbase. -
What AH said in response is spot on. I don’t really understand your point about any sensible supporter would want him to do well, at this point literally the only thing that would be him doing well is to constantly avoid relegation. We will never ‘move up the table’ under Ashley, we’ll never ever kick on and improve, this is all we are under him, it’s all we’ve been for 12 dreadful years, and it’s all we ever will be under he leaves. It’s also worth saying this isn’t some young improving manager that might really grow and be able to produce entertaining football with a run in cups for a couple of years, this is Steve Bruce we know what we are getting here. I do count myself as a sensible supporter, but as AH perfectly put it Bruce doesn’t deserve support. Surviving relegation means nothing now imo, if we never bother to compete, or try and progress up the table why even be in the PL? It’s akin to turning up for an unbelievably good networking event that’s packed with people who could advance your career massively every year, then standing in the corner ignoring everyone, and then occasionally doing something to embarrass yourself so you get barred for a year. We’ve had supposedly 3 attempts to buy the club off him in 18 months, this one looked very legitimate and from all accounts offered him what he’d claimed to have wanted. He’s dragged them along for a couple of month before rejecting them, the way I see it at this point the only potential chance we have of getting rid of him is if the club goes down and stays down, that cuts him off from the PL money as well as the potential to advertise his tat for free.

I love that the Chronicle are giving by the minute updates and tweets constantly about the IMMINENT signing of Bruce. Who fucking cares . They’re reading the mood about as well as Taylor did after he scored that shit header against Cardiff and went mental.
