  1. The fuss about Mainoo reminds me of when McTominay broke through and they constantly hyped up his performances, Mourinho even giving him player of the year iirc . Fwiw he seems a tidy enough player but I agree I see absolutely nothing that points to him being a bigger talent than Miley. He’s an undersized defensive midfielder, compared to Miley who has a big frame and is clearly learning how to use it, I’ve also seen a far better range of passing from Miley whereas Mainoo tends to do short sideways and backward types of passes. Again though Mainoo plays for Man U so this will go on for years, there’s a reason players like Kieran Richardson and Tom Cleverley have England caps.
  2. Agreed. The fact he’s still around is fucking frustrating, the blokes an absolute tit and what he did today underlines that. If there was any truth there was a contract extension coming his way I sincerely hope his cameo put an end to that. I’d far rather we shift to putting on some of these youth players like Murphy that we’ve signed than continuing to field these players who need to have their contracts ended. I agree we should have been out of sight in this one but I fully blame Dummett here. What he did was pure fucking stupidity, what was the point in doing that? We could have played the game for a fucking month straight and that turgid bunch weren’t scoring until that fuckwit decided to headlock a player that was never making a play on the ball. Rip the cunts contract up and let him get picked up by a League two side, where he probably should have been all along.
  3. So KLD isn’t a brilliant owner now? Hard to keep up with those dozy cunts. Aye the mackems have this very weird view of themselves as a bunch of loyal to a fault super fans. Meanwhile basically every player that leaves them leaves on horrible terms and rarely want anything to do with the place again (see Bent after they racially abused his mother, Grabban, etc). They hound out every single manager aside from fucking Sam Allardyce , which is why they average about 2 managers a season. They legitimately fell out with the prior owners due to the toxic atmosphere of the stadium, the documentary showed those owners trying to drown them out with Ibiza tunes, while the inside stadium images of the doc showed them assaulting the cameraman. They also hounded and abused Short despite the bloke bankrolling them for his entire ownership, then digging them out a financial hole when he did leave.
  4. 13 points off the play offs and 11 points off relegation, firmly the mid table marras
  5. It’s incredible that the entire football system missed a talent better than Bruno Guimeraes.
  6. Botman replaced by the vastly experienced club captain who came on and ruptured his ACL?
  7. You’re bound to get some people that view it that way I’m sure, but those people are mental it’s about 10 miles away ffs . It’s just their new weird obsession tbh, ever since “classy” died down after they used Trafalgar Square as a communal commode and public bath. If you support Newcastle you have to be born on the centre circle of SJP or you’re plastic as basically anywhere else in the NE should historically be SAFC. They’re just losers making up anything to make themselves feel better.
  8. It’s phenomenal man. Bruno is better than any player they’ve had at their club, but knacker there says he was miles better and likely wasn’t challenged.
  9. Schar was stood on the wing for whatever reason, he stood there watching the ball going to Kudus but decided against getting back, then tried and failed to foul him.
  10. Barnes obviously deserves a ton of credit, but I thought Hall and Anderson were both really good after coming on as well. Gordon man of the match imo, he was a constant bright point when he got on the ball. Stupid sending off but the ref was a right hopeless cunt throughout he barely booked anyone but managed to book Gordon twice ffs. West Ham have some excellent players but they can’t seem to put it all together, Paqueta loves a dive mind . Schar is a real liability defensively mind, and Dubravka can’t make a save which is becoming really frustrating.
  11. Aye, one of the funniest things about Bruce is every fucker knows he’s lazy as fuck. The fucker barely bothered taking training sessions, rocked up late or not at all, it’s all pretty publicly known through player interviews etc. Despite this he takes massive offense to anyone that even suggests he’s not a massively hard working bloke , the bloke could have put some effort in but he genuinely just went straight back to watching Telly in his office during training sessions after being outraged by the notion people thought he was a grifting cunt.
  12. I saw a clip of him complaining that they had sold Mitrovic (which happened a year prior to him joining) and “the guy who went to Leicester” and that was enough Steve Bruce content for me this year
  13. They're changing the rules this summer aren’t they? I have a feeling that will somehow make Chelsea’s issues go away. They’re a ticking time bomb when it comes to FFP, they’ll get hit with a massive player amortization amount every year and they’re going to have to basically make large profits on player trading every year to offset it. It’s massively risky and probably inevitable that they will have a window where they can’t shift enough to cover the large expense, but for the time being they’re managing to do it (Gallagher and the sale of Hall seem to be two large profits they’re trying for this summer). Football was far and away better without VAR and FFP.
  14. I really hope they don’t rush him back like they’ve done for some of the players, just make sure the bloke fully recovers. If he comes back and breaks down again they really need to investigate whoever is making these decisions.
  15. Crap performance by basically the whole side. It’ll be nice having a goalkeeper back that doesn’t mind making the occasional save, not that the goals were all his fault but fucking hell man. I’m really hoping that Howe is learning from this season as despite it being pretty clear we don’t have the players to play the same way available we just continue to try and play the same way. I understand we’ve had absurd injuries but the wide open way we defend has become so frustrating to watch. Really hope we go into this summer with purpose mind, as despite it being hindsight last summer didn’t help us move forward in the short term (maybe the signing will all help from next season since Tino is the only one that’s really impacted this one). The most annoying part is I thought Chelsea looked mostly crap, Palmer aside, especially that Cucurella
  16. Absolutely class man, they hounded out Mowbray after he’d over-performed as rather than seeing he was doing a decent job they genuinely thought all their players were superstars, and now they’re hurtling towards the bottom of the table. Hopefully next season they fuck off back to the third tier.
  17. He pretty much has no book value by this point, but yeah any that’s left would be amortized over the length of the new deal. It’s part of the reason Chelsea started giving contract extensions to players who had just signed like Enzo Fernandes, iirc they added a year to his deal shortly after he signed which would have lowered his yearly cost.
  18. 3 shots on target and 0.7xG aye mate you were all over us.
  19. Good win by us that, they had a spell but the subs were made at the right time and turned the game back into our control. Thought Bruno was fantastic, Willock and Murphy really improve our pressing when they play.
