Already fucking loving this. Look at the size of him btw, looks like the two sex pests have been hitting the buffet cart, a buffet cart bought and paid for by Qatar - another country of human rights abusers but Keysey finds no hypocrisy with taking their money and laying into the house of Saud. I also find it odd that he just came out and said he wishes it wasn’t us, not that he is usually witty or anything but he at least normally tries to hide his digs a little bit. What an arrogant little prick btw, of all the things you can say the Saudis have done that little gimp pick illegally hacking the BeIn sports streams because it might see him out of a job, fingers crossed you little chimp fathered fucker . -

Fucking hell lads. I was going to suggest a temporary stoppage on new sign ups, but maybe we just make people who sign up take a look at this thread before they are able to try and troll. -

It’s not a terrible argument, it’s a fact. You can’t just arbitrarily draw a line in the sand because the Saudis are worse than Qataris and Adu Dhabi. That’s illogical and ridiculous. You either flat out reject them or you don’t, you’re the one saying we can’t pick and choose here. I also wasn’t just mentioning football clubs but football as a whole. Those kids will be watching the Qatar 2022 World Cup don’t forget. How is it different? By doing so you’re doing the same thing Newcastle fans are doing, which is funding/accepting the Saudis. How about those same kids looking into where their iPhone comes from? If that’s the string you are pulling society is way past that. You, like the rest are just plain wrong. How the fuck can you say it’s a pathetic argument to point out Saudi money is everywhere? How is that different to NUFC accepting that money? Simply saying it’s different doesn’t make it so, because it’s not different again it’s funding and accepting that regime into the western world. It’s exactly the same, you can’t accept it everywhere else and then randomly draw the line in the sand when it comes to Newcastle United. FWIW I have not and do not welcome them, I welcome the end of Mike Ashley and I accept I have absolutely no control over them owning the club. I’m not going to stop supporting NUFC if that’s what you are after, it’s almost like this has created a gray area here, one that is the same sort of quandary I face when I pick up my iPhone - by engaging with it am I tacitly accepting the input? Potentially yes, they are the same type of quandary though, I reject your argument that they’re not as you’ve offered no reasoning besides saying they’re not. I’m defending NUFC fans here as they’re the ones people have immediately went for, not Mike Ashley btw who is actually selling to these people. Are there people taking it too far? Absolutely the same way that any fan base would have that section, but most people just want to follow their football club and have immediately been leapt on for saying they will continue to do so or show some modicum of excitement at getting rid of an owner who has been terrible. I will tell you why they will pass the fit and proper, how will the PL fail them? Do you believe the UK Government would allow the Premier League to send that kind of statement about Saudi Arabia out? Again I’m not saying they should but that’s the world we live in. Another item Newcastle fans have no control over. Do what you want though, no idea if you’re a Newcastle fan or not but if you are and your stance is to stop following the club that is your prerogative, but don’t pretend like that gives you some moral high ground over those that still follow, as it’s highly likely you’re funding/accepting them in some other way, and yes it is the same stop pretending like it’s not. You can pat yourself and congratulate yourself at being more morally pure than the knackers that will get over the top about these owners and completely ignore the mora hazards that come with them but don’t mistake those for the norm, the majority are struggling to square the circle the same way we do with most things in society. -

Erm, just please make sure it’s not an area of the Scottish wilderness that is overseen by a company or governing body that accept money from the Saudi/other gulf states for them to do some hunting in... maybe look into the tent as well remember we have to be sure it’s not waterproofed by something that is an oil byproduct as you know... yep Aramco. -

In other news it seems we now have a special friendship like the mackems: Friends! We need a name as “the two most vile fan bases in the world because they didn’t stand up to Gulf blood money even though absolutely no other area of society did either club” doesn’t quite have a nice ring to is. Not as apt as the Mackem and Everton “bitter little cunts” club anyway -

You should immediately stop following football for a start, remember not just Newcastle is involved in this, Qatari money is flowing through FIFA, UEFA, and Paris, along with all of the money the Abu Dhabi group has pumped into numerous clubs around the world, or do we not count any of those because the Saudis do more bad stuff than them? After you stop bothering with football you might wonder to yourself what should I do with my free time, please make sure you don’t watch boxing (took Saudi money), nor can you watch something like the WWE (again, Saudi money), suppose horse racing and the F1 are out as well? Yep, ok, well maybe don’t look at Twitter as well since they’re involved in that. You likely shouldn’t be driving seeing as Aramco oil is a possible source of petrol, also don’t use Uber. I will then need you to google everything SoftBank invests in, as yeah the Saudis are invested in them. That goes with their vision fund that they invested in with Apple and Microsoft (both upstanding company’s you should have zero qualms when using the products of). You’re getting close, have to stop reading anything the Independent puts out btw, which includes moral compass Miguel Delaney’s latest news on what you should do, unfortunately Miguel’s pay cheque comes from the part Saudi owned paper and he uses Twitter. -

What would you like Rayvin to do? Protesting is out, we have been told for 13 years it doesn’t do anything. Should he stop supporting the club altogether? -
Is that yet another relationship with another fan base of utter losers?

Aye I agree this is the more likely approach. While it takes longer it gets round FFP, and then allows for spending on the top level players once your revenue catches up. The scouting in the Red Bull group of teams is immense tbh, when you think in very recent memory they’ve had players like Mane, Keita, and Haaland (I know 2 out of that 3 were Salzburg but it’s the same regime). Agree as well there’s good potential they follow the RB and City group approaches of building a network of clubs with the PL/Bundesliga team sitting top of the hierarchy. I think it’s also important for them to be in a dialogue with the FFP administrators. I read somewhere that PSG have remained in constant contact whereas Man City have often completely ignored them, which has contributed to City being looked at less favorably. -

The Secret Diary of Lee Ryder (aged 44 and a half)
Howay replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
Nice. Ryder (and those of his ilk) keep banging on about how they don’t understand why the club don’t release a statement, that’s not standard in these type of things though especially when it’s highly likely there are confidentiality agreements etc signed between the party’s. Also, why would Ashley and his group give a shit to do that if they could? He’s not exactly shown he gives a fuck about the fans so why would he suddenly feel he wants to alleviate fans anxiety that the deal will or won’t happen? I’m happy to hear nothing from the club until we hear something from the new owners tbh. I’ve heard and seen enough from Mike Ashley over the past 13 years. -

I think getting into the Champions League is a hurdle to getting that type of player, there’s always the possibility one of them might take the money and risk missing the CL for a bit (like Robinho at Man City, not that that worked out great iirc) but I think a lot of that level of player don’t want to miss any time out of the CL. I think that’s why a 2 year ban would be tough for City with players like De Bruyne likely not being ok with missing out on 2 years of CL football in their prime. FWIW I’d fucking love to be wrong . I was just meaning even if we can’t get that level of player we can definitely clean up on the tiers below them. -

I get that he doesn’t like us but if he genuinely thinks that if the owners spent £600m on the team we’d not have a chance of breaking in the top four he’s off his map. While it’s not worth mentioning how wrong he is I also find it funny that he’s essentially saying we can’t buy our way in but then references Man City as being in that elite, a team who.... well... bought their way in. To be honest if he’s that biased against a side he shouldn’t really be paid to give his opinion on football. I immensely dislike Sunderland but if they were in the PL and suddenly had owners who would spend £600m on their team they’d be a very good football side, to say otherwise is foolish. We aren’t going to go out and buy Mbappe but there’s no reason we can’t go and buy someone like, say, Grealish from a tin pot side headed for relegation. It would be an immediate step up for him, players of that bracket would definitely come. Sure you’d miss out on some that might get an offer from a current CL side and they opt for that but it’s utter drivel for him to act like we are going to sit not being able to buy decent players, we are in the PL after all which according to him in that set of quotes we should be immensely thankful to Ashley for. -
Oh man, I’ve had a fucking shit week and I needed that thread. What a fucking treat that was. That fucking huckle doesn’t grasp why a family worth trillions wouldn’t take the cheaper and immensely more risky option of buying a League One side over buying a Premier League side and being able to immediately start investing? It’s not even worth noting that for all their twisting and deluded Geordie jibes we are the more recognizable club from the two by a large margin, especially internationally. As many know I live in the states, when I mention I’m from Newcastle people immediately reference either the beer, Newcastle United, or both even when they know basically nothing about footy. I’m sure the Netflix comedy series will help their exposure but it’s not exactly in a good light is it? This quote btw: ”I hope that their buy out will encourage people to buy us though, for one of they put a team together someone could see us as an attractive club to reignite the rivalry, I would say man city got bought out because they are next door to man United and already had a brand name” This is the sort of fucking gold I was expecting from them, they honestly call us deluded and then come out with utter dross like this. Every bit of it is magic, even down to bitterly trying to say Man City was a bigger brand than NUFC pre-Abu Dhabi group, we were a CL side just 4-5 season prior to that you numpty. It’s also worth noting the Abu Dhabi group went to buy NUFC first, there’s a reason this isn’t the first gulf state to try and buy NUFC while the only takeover attempts for our malformed “rivals” have been a clueless American hedge fund owner, then two wide boy chancers. Michael Dell has no knowledge of Sunderland, nor the imaginary takeover, firstly he invests in a passive fund that was rumored to be interested, he doesn’t engage in it, and secondly they gave a loan to SAFC, that’s what it was ffs they gave them a loan and the connection got the mackems frothing. It’s going to get a whole hell of a lot worse you little tramps, and you best believe I’m going to enjoy every second of it. Call me obsessed all you want, it’s going to be fucking hilarious to potentially watch world class players while those bong eyed cucks watch Will Grigg.

That Glendenning really nails his point in the responses: So, essentially he’s perfectly fine with Delaney saying he’s uneasy/having a go at the Saudi Royal family, while he also takes their money since they pay a portion of his salary through part ownership of where he works, but it’s totally impossible for a fan of Newcastle to be uneasy with the new owners but still support the club. Bizarre and completely ridiculous take and logic. Apparently he’s a mackem that works for talkSPORT? Makes sense he’s an utter fucking knacker. He’s getting beyond wound up in the responses as well . -

Aye, I’ve come to expect no less from most journalists tbh. Most tend to be nothing more than WUMs with a greater vocabulary: This tweet was linked by prominent German Journalist Rafael Honigstein, in reference to Delanys piece as well as a few other little jabs he aimed at the fanbase. Again that’s the fan base this is all aimed at. Now I know this new bunch are pretty abhorrent, but where we’re all these journalists when we were railing against Ashley for 13 years? Where were they as Ashley took a club that had recently played regular European football and cheapened them out and drove them into the dirt to the tune of 2 relegations, basically never getting past the 3rd round of any cups, let the stadium and facilities rot to shit, tried to embarrass any club legend we had while essentially mocking and laughing at the fans. Did they stand up and say that football has gone to shit and he should never be an owner? No, they generally ignored him, or wrote a little piece about it when the fan pressure ramped up at a point or he done something particularly bad so they could cash in on some clicks, before going back to ignoring it. Little to no doubt many will be wanking off about NUFC years down the line if this lot do pile money in and have us in a position like Man City are now, which is what many currently do over Manchester City games. -

If it’s at the PL for fit and proper test everything is agreed pending that. The fat pig Samuel is just fishing for clicks. I don’t get the “but if they don’t just stump up exactly what Ashley wants are they really that interested”, that’s not how things work people try and pay what they value the asset at or get it for a cheap as they can, why would they simply pay whatever Ashley wants? Also using his shit analogy, would the person on £30k a year happily pay an extra £4.50 for their pint? I don’t think they would. In fact from their perspective he fucked the deal up once, and now they have him in a more desperate position (since he probably wants liquidity to buy SD) why would they give into him ? -

The interim being the time between now and whenever the deal is closed/season is officially ended, anything past that and I can’t see Steve Bruce being manager. Why on Earth would the state of Saudi Arabia buy a football club, with a likely aim of increasing a brand to show themselves in a positive light/grow in influence in other areas, to keep a manager on that shouldn’t have a job in the Premier League in the first place and has probably the most turgid brand of football in the PL (statistically the worst or close to worst side in most attacking metrics). You have to love the mail and other media outlets, literally calling these people human rights abusers who shouldn’t be involved in football and then genuinely thinking they would think twice about sacking Steve Bruce because he wouldn’t be “getting a fair go”. -

Remember how fucking hopeless it all felt when the rumoured takeovers fell through, and Rafa left to go to China. I genuinely don’t know how I’m going to feel if this all goes through and in walks Benitez with wads of dosh backing him to sign who he wants and do a complete overhaul of our facilities. Fucking hell man we might actually be rid of Mike Ashley! -

I think the last sentence is the crux of it. We are going to get an absolute pasting off the press as worry sets in that the media darlings may have another contender for their ‘top six’, fully expect it to become a ‘top seven’ of this lot spend and progress as we hope as they’ll not want to state any of their favorites to not be part of the elite group. I can see it taking a while regardless of backing, and it’ll likely be a targeting of young high potential players to grow the club, then use increased fund availability and growing standing to hold onto them. I think the Leipzig reference is a good one, with the additional bonus of being able to spend more than them due to the higher income of PL sides.
