  1. Why are the mackems even saying they’ll be in Europe soon? Don’t they want proper football? Away from places like Milan, Paris, and Dortmund. I imagine there’s a lot of lads in Milan right now that will see the below and wish we were involved in proper football. https://x.com/roverscarpark/status/1703689731614052371?s=46&t=ytLiTTx5wmuNZJztyLjiJg
  2. A lad in his 20’s wearing a footy top! Surely he should have screamed “mag behavior” rather than smiling?
  3. What is it that makes Anthony Gordon a “horrific individual”? He’s a 22 year old kid that has no off-field issues, or accusations against him, seems to be a good pro and is level headed. Typical of them I suppose though, they just say something, decide it’s true regardless of any actual evidence, then get annoyed by it. It’s exactly for the above reason the whole “Durham mags are cunts, Northumberland mackems are classy lads” makes total sense to them, there’s even blokes that are themselves “Northumberland mackems” saying all the same shit about “Durham mags” . It always makes me laugh that they just disregard the fact we’re talking about an area that’s all within an hour or so drive, and people move around, as if it’s some insane concept whereby a bloke from Sunderland living in Morpeth is some big feat and means all of Morpeth is Sunderland daft.
  4. A couple of weeks ago everything was going tits up and they were starting to call for Mowbrays sacking, now they’re back to being the best footballing side on the planet Are they forgetting when this footballing Goliath of a team met Fulham last season and had to resort to a backs to the wall job to try and cling on, then still lost?
  5. That’s just fucking weird man. So a story about a bloke on a shit holiday that heard someone’s next door neighbor is a mackem. Not sure if it’s sadder if he made it up, or if it actually happened and he thought it was something profound. I do like that he adds that he goes to St Abbs a lot, maybe that’s to add credibility? Or is it staking a claim to the place on behalf of mackems?
  6. https://x.com/deadlinedaylive/status/1703416078590767259?s=46&t=ytLiTTx5wmuNZJztyLjiJg Another of their favorites.
  7. https://x.com/jordancronin_/status/1703176686764749299?s=46&t=ytLiTTx5wmuNZJztyLjiJg This bloke is a right cunt like . His team time wasted like fuck every goal kick and throw in, I understood it was part of their set up and wasn’t complaining but don’t then complain when you feel the game isn’t fast enough when you go behind. Far too many managers like this now imo, Klopp, Ten Hag, Frank, etc that will blame everything and everyone when things don’t go their way. You come up against a better side, set up for a draw and lost.
  8. Yeah signing a 6 should have been the priority, I think Tonali become available and was seen as a stretch so they shifted plans (I feel Livramento is similar in that respect), and fully agree Alvarez would have been a great signing. Although I like Maddison 6 is the main position we miss in our midfield, and despite his really good start with Spurs they have largely had easy fixtures. My worry is I’ve heard Howe sees Bruno as a 6 despite many of the recruitment side seeing him as an 8 with a 6 being priority to sign. A Bruno - Alvarez - Tonali midfield would have been great to see.
  9. He was suspended for the Inter game.
  10. I know, it was a separate point that although Paqueta would be nice if we are to sign a CM we need a 6 rather than an 8 or 10.
  11. https://x.com/deadlinedaylive/status/1703355552925897075?s=46&t=ytLiTTx5wmuNZJztyLjiJg I know this is most certainly bollocks but I’m pretending it’s happening. A 6 should be the priority in midfield if we are signing one
  12. So from the sounds of his post the PL is far better to watch than the less skillful less talented version. There’s also not a single chance the game is faster at that level and anyone that says it is simply doesn’t understand the game .
  13. This is why I say it was a pen btw. As last season we were told by the whole media that Burn had his arm in an unnatural position as it was high, it blocked a chance etc. now I’m hearing similar voices in the press saying it would have been harsh. Either stick to the rule or fix the rule, increasingly growing bored of the inconsistency and poor standards.
  14. I don’t jump with my hands up like that tbh, his arms are above his head and they have no need to be. I still go back to he had his hands in a high position needlessly, blocked a clear goal scoring opportunity. People say it’s harsh to their player but it’s also harsh to us. Plus as I say Burn conceded a similar one last season to this lot. Also funny the logic wasn’t extended to the position of Wilson’s arms for the ruled out goal.
  15. Disagree tbh, Gordon had put himself in the way and in a position to keep the ball in play the keeper just wiped him out. I’d be fuming if our goalkeeper went in like that when there was no need whatsoever.
  16. But the player has his arm in an absurd position for me, you shouldn’t be raising your arm above your head like that as it’s always a risk. It might be harsh in that the ball come from behind but he’s blocked what probably would have been a goal, or at least a clear goal scoring chance, with his arm which to me is harsher. Similar was given against us iirc last season against this team when Burn had a handball.
  17. Not sure I follow why some are saying the pen was harsh? It was a stupid and rash play by their keeper, Gordon got to the ball and was going to keep it in play before he was wiped out by the keeper. Stone wall penalty imo, there’s an argument over the second (even though for me it’s still a pen, regardless of people calling it harsh I’d argue it was harsh on us since the ball was blocked from going to Wilson who would have probably scored) but I can’t see anything soft about the foul on Gordon - it was stupid by the keeper who had lost control of his slide a goal kick would have been ridiculous given we had the ball and a keeper way out of goal.
  18. He should stick to his whiteboard the long haired geek. His side got away with fucking murder today.
  19. Aye, it would have been harsh but for me it’s the rule. He had his arm up, if he hadn’t blocked it the ball was going right to Wilson who had a free shot from 6 yards. Also can’t say I’m in any charitable mood to Brentford as for me they’ve escaped at least one red and had a goal unfairly ruled out in their favor. All while they’ve kicked us up a height and dived, while their bellend manager has played checkers on a white board.
  20. Pawson helping break down our attack because a player clearly dived after having his chest grazed by an elbow. What an absolutely shocking display
  21. Pawson is a disgrace mind. He’s turned a blind eye to them hacking us down all game and then overturns our goal for no reason whatsoever How can he claim Flekken was stopped when he literally threw an arm to punch the ball he just missed it completely? Then the farce debating the pen, this idiot of a keeper just completely wiped Tony out. Absurd performance by Flekken and Pawson.
  22. I hope you’re right. Just the most worrying part is we’ve went from looking like one of the fittest and aggressive sides to this, hopefully it all settles and we see more signs of our style but currently we’ve lost our identity imo.
