Basically we expect way too much for a club that’s won fuck all, not sure where any of the fans have said they expect to be winning things - I wouldn’t say hoping to win cup games against Championship competition and have a bit of a cup run is too much expectation, neither is wanting to play somewhat competent football. Aye, I understand the assertion that a club might need to hang on and dig out results when first promoted into a new league, but agree this whole happy to be there shite is nauseating. People watch football for entertainment, if it’s fucking dreadful they have every right to complain, I’m not saying we need to be Barcelona but we have to provide some level of entertainment. It’s also a fucking ridiculous assertion that you can only survive in the PL by playing dreadful to watch football unless you’re one of the top sides, the lads in the bottom half of the league are still incredibly talented at the game of football ffs it’s not like there’s some gap that goes Kevin De Bruyne level - rest of the league can’t pass 5 yards. They tie themselves in these knots to protect Bruce, a man who has been mediocre at best everywhere he has been in a long career. Personally it’s wankers like Redknapp acting like the PL is the be all end all that do my head in. As a supporter of a club that never challenges for trophies I’ve no problem being in the championship if it meant we got to watch a more entertaining match, of course I’d love to stay in the PL but if the only way we stay there is watching the crap Bruce is serving up then I’ll take being outside of it (although imo much more of this and we’ll be going down anyway which completely rinses their point). They should start assigning a club to each of these pundits, they can watch other matches but their primary responsibility is to sit and watch all of our matches in a season and report week by week, would they be buzzing about Bruce and saying we should stop whinging when they have to watch 2 hours of that utter fucking shite every week?

Bruce is a fucking shite manager, I don’t need to compare him to any of our recent managers to make that argument, we play dire football, we barely get in the opposition area let alone have a shot, and we look all over the map defensively. Even if Benitez was the worst manager we’ve ever had that still doesn’t change the fact Bruce is absolutely bobbins and shouldn’t be managing at the premier league level. Our squad isn’t great, but this new angle where it’s suddenly become the worst squad in the league is pathetic, just 18 month ago tits like Neville were fawning over Fraser and Wilson, Almiron has pace to spare and despite lacking end product can be useful with an actual plan / system, our central defenders are the best group we’ve had in fucking donkeys years (we have had better individuals but never 4 or so that are all at this level), goalkeepers are very good, we’re very weak in CM and the full back positions but most teams in the bottom half mix have weaknesses in positional areas too. Again I’m not saying we have some array of talent, but Bruce isn’t getting close to enough out of what he has, saying if you give him loads of money he’ll do better doesn’t wash as an excuse in a fucking job where the owner is Mike Ashley, this broken nosed cunt knew exactly what he was signing up for and many of these same pundits were acting like Ashley was more than generous with previous managers, Bruce has outspent many of them so which way is it? If we can’t feel aggrieved at watching Bruce’s version of football can we finally be pissed off at having Mike Ashley as owner?

Spot on, my wife goes mental with me whenever I watch the match now as I basically have it muted . In fact she did just that during the Arsenal game and I’d put the sound on just in time to hear the commentator defending Rob Holdings nightmare tackle on Almiron, so I swiftly turned the sound down again. They offer absolutely nothing as you say, and it’s only gotten worse since Bruce is mates with them all as like others have pointed out they’re bending over backwards to give him excuses.

They have to get rid of him now, I’m not saying I expect us to pick up points away to Arsenal but we weren’t even in that game. He will whinge on about how he played more attacking but we fucking didn’t, he put more offensive players on the pitch but there was no plan so we may as well have had 10 defenders on tbh. I don’t particularly rate our team, but they’re better than what they are showing, under this whopper the average players look shite and the shite ones barely resemble football players. It’s at the point, imo, that the longer they delay sacking him they’re just making the inevitable relegation scrap harder. Not sure who to get but this can’t go many more games, I really can’t see where any points are going to come from.

A few weeks back I wasn’t overly concerned as even though we were shite we were picking up points, the teams below were really struggling too. The worry was when you’re playing crap football and getting goals from very few chances that you’ll go through a period where you’re not getting those goals, it seems like those goals have dried up and now with Bruce essentially rounding on the players by branding them frigging hopeless, and shite, I can only see the situation getting worse. Basically we were bad enough when he was seemingly getting some effort out of them, without them on side we’re fucked. If Ashley and Charnley want the club in the PL they need to act decisively imo, we’ve strayed into that period of time similar to when McLaren was pretending he was a football manager where they risk keeping him on long enough to really fuck over the bloke that comes in to clean up the mess. I’ve absolutely no faith in them to remove him though, and expect them to stick with him until it’s way too late. We’re completely reliant on 3 teams being worse than us at this point as we’re a fucking dreadful team with this pudding faced wank in charge.

Not sure where I called him good, I literally said I can’t see us ever getting much out of him.
