It’s sad to think we’ve only spent somewhere around £50m total during Ashley’s ownership on both full back positions. While we have fluked some decent full backs on the cheap it was always going to mean we’d eventually be lumbered with utter crap like Krafth.

He’s as much an embarrassment to his profession as Bruce is to football management, so I suppose it’s apt this is the hill he is choosing to die on.

Have to agree to disagree I suppose. They’re both terrible players imo, and the fact Yedlin is a far better athlete is the only differentiator to me. I saw posts about Manquillo being technically a better player, and maybe that’s true but he’s completely ineffectual in games so I don’t see how that sets him apart from Yedlin. Either way as you say the fact either of them were ever the lead choices for our RB position in the PL is a joke.

People must see a different Manquillo to me, which is fair enough. Anytime I watch him play he’s constantly out of position which usually results in the attacker getting a free cross, or Manquillo being booked after he grabs the attacker. I think Yedlin is shite, it’s just he has top level pace so it occasionally could make up for his shit positioning or create some counter attack. Manquillo’s positioning was maybe better under Rafa when it was drilled into him, but he was still a walking free kick from what I recall, and as Bruce is closer to our usual standard of manager under fat tits I’d say it’s moot anyway. I’m not really sold on how you could see Manquillo as clearly far and away better attacking wise than Yedlin either tbh, the bloke can’t cross to save his life, not that Yedlin can but I wouldn’t say one is clearly better than the other. Fwiw I’d prefer neither of them at the club, we should have improved on them years ago.

Krafth is the absolute worst of the three, I genuinely think he’s among the worst footballers we’ve had at the club in the PL era, as Quiff says the other two are both shite but I just think Yedlins pace means he had a bit more use than Manquillo who similarly to Yedlin would constantly lose his man but didn’t have the pace to catch up.

Manquillo is absolutely shite tbf, so is Krafth. It’s a shame we didn’t have a bloke who, while not much good himself was better than both of them.

Apparently we’ve only had a worse points record than we currently have now once in our PL history, and we got relegated that season. Bruces latest quote in the Ronny Gill: "You have to pick up enough points and over the last six games we have shown signs we are doing OK." 1 win, 3 losses, and 2 draws from those 6, carry that form out across an entire season and it’d get you 32 points which would see you relegated in all bar 1 PL season. We’ve dropped like a fucking stone since Xmas when we had a double digit gap over the relegation zone yet this embarrassment still has the gall to stand there and act like we’ve had a decent season, and we’ll just see where we end up eh. The press actually wonder why our fan base was excited about the potential takeover while knowing our current owner appointed this fucking tit.

It’s almost as if having the worst manager in the league is a disadvantage. I thought he had signed a 2 year deal? In which case the notion he’d be due a big pay off if he was sacked with about 3 month left on his deal is mental, they were basically incentivizing failure.

I guess they’re just actually going to keep him until the end of the season absolutely staggeringly bad decision, I just can’t see how if you don’t sack him after dropping points against the second bottom side and ending the weekend just 1 point above the drop that there’s going to be another event that gets him sacked.

Hopefully he does want to sell to them even if we go down, but my worry is he acts in the same arsehole manner he always has. We drop, they say they’ll still buy us but £100m less, he turns his nose up at that thinking if we can get promoted he can get that £100m, then we either fail to come up or they finally lose interest.

How the fuck has Bruce managed this? I’ve always thought he was a joke of a manager but when you look at how clear we were at the end of the year to where we are now it’s ridiculous, like actually disgraceful. We barely created a threat against WBA for fucks sake, they’ll blame injuries but he had enough at his disposal to beat west Brom and we genuinely weren’t a threat. Fair play to Fulham for trying, seems like Bruce is going to allow them to pull this off. Can’t wait for the summer. A draw against Fulham to clinch survival on the last day, the pundits rolling out the abuse on the fans as they congratulate Bruce on somehow keeping this team in the league, a nice new contract for Bruce before the takeover collapses.

Absolutely has to be sacked now. If we can’t get a result against one of the few sides below us then what fucking hope is there of any turnaround? It’s mental that we are going to have to wait until we are actually in the bottom 3 before there’s any hope of him being sacked.
